The best restaurants in Gwynedd North Wales

Haven’t eaten here since Christmas so I was looking forward for my lunch date with my cousin. We both ordered the cheese and onion quiche from the specials board and the Dubai chocolate cheesecake. Very nice indeed, great food and fantastic service. Diolch genod.

Lovely food, good atmosphere and background music and very friendly staff. Pizzas and garlic bread were delicious as was the salad bowl. Will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Nice service. Good range of hot food for a burger bar. Great quality to the hot food also. Red hot great tasting coffee and tea. Ice cream is delicious as are the freshly made doughnuts

I visited family last weekend and have to say the changes the the royal are amazing since my last visit. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating to bruce (my german shepherd ). The bar person brought a bowl of water and treats over for my dog while I watched the football on the big screen. I visited that evening without my dog and the atmosphere was brilliant, the staff again very engaging no matter how busy they were the made time to smile and have a brief chat.

New to Bangor,desperate to satisfy my craving for pool,i found the folks at Crosville were friendly and welcoming,and its got a greattable too as a bonus.

Lovely modern setting with a simple yet perfectly crafted menu. We went on a bank holiday Monday and the setting, food and drink service as top notch. They even treated us to conversation and an extra treat for our anniversary. Staff were as wonderful as the food.

Great food excellent beer, good surroundings and very busy place. The fish and chips were very good - great range of beer and it all supports the railway - what's not to like!

Lovely two night stay at The Golden Fleece Inn. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent. Would definitely recommend a stay here, lovely location. We will return.

Very good food, lovely location

Went to this chippy today and have to say at how pleased I was with both the service and the food. Asked for a quarter pound meal deal, with curry sauce. The food was freshly cooked, and the quality really shows. The chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The burger was delicious! Nice buns, well toasted and a good amount of sauce. When being passed the food the lady serving me said "I've given you an extra patty as the first one wasn't that big" Absolutely flawless service! The staff are a credit to the place. Will definitely be back

Great little fish shop. The option to sit in was greatly appreciated on a cold and wet, February afternoon. The gentleman taking the orders was incredibly friendly and helpful. I have to avoid certain ingredients due to my daughter's intolerances, but nothing was too much bother for him. When he realised I couldn't have the battered or breaded fish he made up a rice flour one for me. Exceptional service and all of us really enjoyed our food. If we're ever in Barmouth again we will be back.

Couldn’t have been cosier, caught my eye on the way past & very glad I stopped in. Service was great, extremely accommodating and did me an early dinner in the bar so I could hike to my overnight stop. Talked me through the beer selection & made me feel at home. Lovely atmosphere & perfect hospitality. The host (I didn’t catch his name) chatted with us & it made for a great atmosphere of all tables in the bar. Would happily stay & it’s a fantastic location for mountain walks. Food was delicious & very reasonably priced (I forgot to leave a service charge & feel very guilty, couldn’t have been more deserving - please drop by and have a drink on my behalf)!! I’ll be back :)
