Popped in for a quick bite to eat after doing business in the area. The first thing that hit me was the overwhelming smell of grease and chip fat. The establishment was rather small which didn't really accomodate the amount of tables, so you felt Squashed. We ordered a white coffee which tasted like cheap powdered coffee, like mellow birds. You couldn't taste the coffee, just the claggy fatty milk in it. It must have been my husbands fault because as he asked for 2x white coffees which I think must translate to milky coffee in wales. We should have probably asked for an americano, if they did such a thing. Anyway, my husband ordered a full english breakfast, and I ordered a small version, but they couldn't do this even though they had all the ingredients as it was exactly the same as my husbands but just less of it. Oh no, they said..its not on the menu. We can do you fried bread with bacon and fried egg, which I opted for as all I wanted was a small cooked breakfast. Martin's, my husband's looked ok, nothing special, but mine, when it finally came! good grief it was a plate of fat. Fatty fried bread with cardboard like bacon on top the 2 of the most greasy undercooked , oily fried eggs wobbling on the top. I couldn't face it so they changed my fried bread for toast, quite reluctantly, and just plonked the now cold and greasy original bacon and eggs on top of the thin white toast!! I ate because I was starving, but couldn't stomach the coffee. It tasted bad enough the first time. who I presumed was the owner didn't seem bothered about anything that was going on other than getting the payment, as I heard her say to the waitress 'have they paid for their coffee!. The waitress who was trying her best started calling my husband sir! 'is everything alright sir, can I get you anything else...the owner still sat there contributing , and eager to make sure we paid!! what a farce!! đ

Stayed here for 2 nights. The owners were very friendly, room was clean and although thereâs a pub downstairs it wasnât too loud

Lovely , friendly community run pub tucked away on the main street. Staff and locals make everyone feel welcome. We shall return , but if a gem !

This is a lovely, friendly art gallery that has a good selection of Chris Neale prints which was the original draw to the shop. It was a nice surprise to find that it also hosts a small coffee/tea room too which was good value and served up in very fancy cups!

Called for a drink, friendly leading us to the table, drinks were expensive and when I went inside to look for the loo the owner was very âoffâ the place needs a good scrub down. Glad we werenât eating there after Iâd seen the toilet hygiene

Dreadful experience all round. Came for some lunch with the family while on holiday. Majority of the menu was unavailable, which was on the smaller side annual. Told the wait would be extra long due to a large party being served, which is understandable. While waiting for our meals we were told one of the options was unavailable and given an alternative. When our meals finally arrived we were then told that theyâd run out of the fish, youâd think after a 30-45 minute wait theyâd of told you much sooner. When a refund was requested and a conversation with the manager we were met with aggravation and attitude. The situation was handled terribly and not a single apology was given from any of the staff we spoke to. DO NOT ATTEND THIS âVENUâ. Note to management, an investigation and disciplinary action is required on your half. The attitude of your tall blonde staff member (didnât catch his name) was unacceptable and will cost you a lot of business if not dealt with correctly. Happy to give a full account if you wish to discuss the matter officially.
