Called for a drink, friendly leading us to the table, drinks were expensive and when I went inside to look for the loo the owner was very ‘off’ the place needs a good scrub down. Glad we weren’t eating there after I’d seen the toilet hygiene

Great place! We walked around Pwllheli for a long time looking for a Dog Friendly restaurant that also accommodated for Gluten-Free (child). I spoke to the owner, who was really welcoming and even offered to serve us something that wasn't on the menu for our friends 6 year old who was GF. Both the owners were really attentive and welcoming. Our kids ACTUALLY ATE ALL THEIR FOOD ( the first time ever they all cleared their plates!) The food was great, beer tasted crisp and fresh (clean lines) and the owners even offered to make our kids mocktails. They also treated our children with small amounts of Haribo sweets, which kept them on their best behaviour. We were staying at Abererch Sands and this was our last evening before we left, we enjoyed our holiday so much we will definitely be returning and we now have a brilliant place to eat when we do!

Lovely friendly owners, very helpful recommending good places to eat outside of Pwllheli. Great food, really nice Gammon steak, and lasagne was delicious. Will be returning another night this week. 👍👍

The food was ok, but the cutlery and plates 🍽 ext ... wasn't clean. A really cold atmosphere didn't feel welcoming.

It’s an shack in a doubtful area

Excellent place hidden away a bit; great traditional pub food - the corned beef hash was amazing! The owner couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating for our dog, and gave us a list of other dog friendly establishments to visit in the area. Well worth a visit!

Love this place I highly recommend, amazing food with indoor and outdoor seating with great classic music a place to have a party and spend time with family and have drinks and a nice meal and it's dog friendly

Nice outside seating area food was average a little bit disorganised waited for cutlery got given sauce off another table which had been used tables could do with a wipe and cash only a sign to say this before ordering would be beneficial rather than telling you when you come to pay

Down-to-earth, friendly staff who were eager to please and were very personable. Dinner was very nice and enjoyed the outdoors setting on a summer evening.

Had a nice meal here and the staff remained friendly and polite despite being short handed. Very dog friendly and the landlady offered us lots of tips on where to take our dog while on holiday

The Bar Eating House was fully booked (so book in advance, we certainly will next time), but the lady who helped advise us on other dog friendly places even though she was on her break was lovely. Came for carvery today, despite Orla being on her own without a chef or serving staff we enjoyed a great meal. Thank you Orla you are a superstar. We will be back soon.

This is a fantastic place to eat. The staff work very hard, and the food is brilliant.

FULLY DOG FRIENDLY. With a lovely friendly owner. This is a proper hidden gem in pwllheli forget Wetherspoons, go here, their burgers ( i had the southern fried chicken)are to die for with home made onion rings and lovely chips and salad. Wy wife had the prawn baguette with salad and struggled to finish it (but did)and said it was absolutely lovely with a pint of lager and a vodka and lemonade we got change out of £25 which equals Wetherspoons prices but is ten times nicer. My only little niggle was the gents toilet which didn't have a lock on it and had no soap but don't let this put you off. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely divine! We stopped here on our way through Pwllheli and oh my goodness, what a delight! Run by a lovely irish woman who gives real, delicious home cooking! We had mexican dishes from the specials menu and a couple from the normal menu and the food is stunning! Excellent service, wonderful staff! Definitely worth the visit if you're in the area! Avoid the chain resturants, this place is the one to choose! 10/10.

Flat drinks cold chicken burger soggy pizza burnt chilli with black bits in it and then to top it off a cat jumped on our table leaving hair in my little girls food manager had a bad attitude when we complained about the dreadful food place is dirty ans scruffy stay well clear!!

Awesome home cooked food, been twice while visiting Phiwell, Sunday lunch was epic, friendly staff who genuinely care.

Used to be good... but gone downhill. Limited menu and usually a wait. Seem to always run out of many draught lagers and food. Also "cash only" is a pain. Tried a few times now.. but won't bother again.

Wow what a reception we had calling in here on the way to our caravan, children and dog friendly sat outside under a heated cover, the meals were excellent and certainly value for money the staff couldn't do enough for us but also at the same time didn't mither us highly recommend this place passed it many times wish we had called in earlier we certainly will be going back

Went for a Sunday carvery and the food was poor, meat was underdone and all veg was cold and swimming in water. Won't be going again.

Possibly the worse meal we've ever had. The waitress was all over thw place bless her, i had sunday lunch which consisted of beef a potato and broccoli accompanied with gravy you could slice. Organised chaos.

On holiday for the week eat there excellent food 🖒staff very friendly⚘would go back again when on holidays next year. Also there corn beef hash beautiful give it a try 😄

The service here was very good. Our waitress was very polite and my meal of fish & chips was enjoyable, especially the fish.

Just had the salt and pepper chicken drumsticks and they were absolutely stunning! Thai friday at the bar are just so good. I've been before and had a staek several months ago which also was lovely. Great beer garden and lovley stuff. If you around pwllheli it's well worth a visit.

A fantastic night with our granddaughter she asked for chicken bites sausage and chips and she ate the lot and had ice cream for afters the atmosphere was so family friendly was amazing will call again thank you all xx

Great food fairly priced especially the carvery. However, the tables are so tightly packed together walking about to the toilet or food servery is a bit of a risk, unless you were so successful at dieting this year you could appear on a Paris catwalk be warned No parking and wheelchair access none existing. On a whole my families experience was spoilt by being knocked constantly or having to stand to allow others to pass by. We did brave it again this year but no improvement has been made.

little hidden gem. Hidden at the side of a large bistro and looking a little run down. The food is amazing, the staff are great and I honestly think we would travel the 3 hours down here just for Sunday lunch. Please don't miss this place if your in the area, we will be returning soon. Just had desert, Welsh ice cream. Brilliant.

We have just spent a week in Pwllhelli and went to this place on a Sunday regarding that it served a carvery. The food was great, although it was busy so the servace was quite slow. More of a cafe layout than a resturant. Family friendly and resonably priced. Would recommend to anyone and so would use again if in the area.

Spent a week in and around Pwllheli and must admit that nice real ale pubs were very limited in the area. We found this place and although not a real ale establishment excepting bottled ale (please get some local ales in if the owners are reading this) they did excellent homecooked food. We ate there twice - once for lunch with a party of eight and once in the evening with a party of four. Service was excellent, food described well and with enthusiasm and our youngest child was provided with toys to play with. As mentioned by other reviewers the chips are excellent 'like mum used to make' type affairs!! The baguettes, burgers, locally caught fresh mackerel, battered fish and lamb shank were all found to be great.

We were over the moon with this place. The menu says homemade to almost everything, they are not kidding, the chips, mmmmmm just like grandma used to make. We will defo go back, we recommend that if you are in the area and want quality homemade food then this IS the place to go, you have to wait a short while but it really is worth waiting for.

Lovely pub Lovley friendly atmosphere catered well had clear markings on the menu for celiac diets. Were even ok us putting the food we had brought for our Daughter who has celiacs on one of there plates so she didn't feel left out. If we had known the menu was this good we wouldn't have brought any. Gold standard AAA+
