An old style/looking pub! Pleasant enough for a few drinks with friends.

Service is decent but the place is very run down in need of a refurbishment.

Splendid and welcoming pub; very affordable drinks, humorous, friendly, and no nonsense staff. This place is what I believe all pubs should aspire to be like. Its a very welcoming environment for all manner of people. The bar staff, (namely Jess ) were very happy to make us customised cocktails, and held pleasant conversation in between serving other customers with lightning fast efficiency, it was really amazing. This may be the best pub in Bangor. Cheers to everyone fortunate enough to visit this place, its wonderful!

Went on Friday night, was pretty busy with students as it may have been Freshers week but was a nice atmosphere, everyone having a good night. Bar staff were fantastic, really quick with the service and nice and chatty and welcoming too. Drinks prices are really cheap compared to where I'm from, so was nice to get good value for money. Would return if we were ever in the area again for sure!

It's good, no food though which is kinda sad but still an amazing pub anyway. Staff are great, drinks are cheap.

The definition of a student dive bar. The first thing that strikes you upon entering isn’t the grotty floor or outdated and mismatched decor, but the smell of feet and B.O. I think I’ve had better olfactory experiences at the elephant house at Chester Zoo. The toilets were a disgrace. A few mm of urine greeted me upon entering, and the smell made the main bar area seem like a rose garden in comparison. I’ve given two stars as the staff were friendly and efficient, and the prices were reasonable.

A great local bar! The kids and us really enjoyed the atmosphere and the locals were so nice. Had the Cherry Bakewell drink. It was awesome!

Cheapest pub in bangor, service and quality is good, but one time I ordered a vodka and orange and the last few sips tasted like malibu, which asks the question of if the glasses were washed correctly.

just a solid local pub, never had an issue there friendly staff, good price drinks and a nice atmosphere good for groups & societies as there's a separate room lovely outside space for smokers/the summer dog friendly which is always a plus

Lovel atmosphere, very good beet selection.

Its more about the people you are with and how you enjoy your time with them at this place. Otherwise its a Dirty sticky bar with wonky chairs . But the toilets are decent and so is the music. It also has free Wi-Fi.

Was my local whilst in Bangor for about 4 years. Great pub, especially if you don't like places like Varsity and The Castle. Great outside area at rear of building, perfect for the summer. New pool table needed. Would give 5 stars, however the place is let down by a barman (possibly bar manager) who is rude and passive aggressive. I was meeting with old friends one Sunday and he kicked us out at around 9:30pm because he wanted "to close up and go for a spliff". This guy should be nowhere near such a great pub!

Good staff and Great atmosphere, a Duke box with modern and classics, and a Great place overall. They were happy to let us have our social event there with 80-odd people, there was plenty of room for us all and they were very welcoming.

Good for students I suppose. Not massive pub. Very reasonably priced. My wife and I went for Sunday lunch with some friends. There's a room private enough and big enough to accommodate 10 of us or so. The carvery was good. The reason I give 3 stars is because we had a baby with us. There are only the usual men's or ladies' but no baby changing room. Bit crammed to wheel a pram in there. Therefore, well suited for adults, students, but not very young families. Given the layout of the building, it's not something they would consider including. Shame.

Food and service here were lovely. Small and cramped as you expect from this kind of venue and very busy for Sunday Lunch, but you chat fault the staff for their hard work

Ordered an homemade burger and got 2 Lidl style burger, with no flavour. The chips were sluggish with no flavour as well. Not homemade, has they refund me straight after I complained...
