Lovely atmosphere, great food especially the breakfast. A real warm friendly pub

Couldn't sit outside with a dog, was turned away.

I ordered a chicken wrap, tasted like nothing, it was very soggy and the presentation wasn’t done very well. My friends also had some complaints on their food as-well since some of it wasn’t even cooked properly. The customer service could really improve, when we asked a waiter if they could do anything about it, he said no and walked away hurriedly.

Great place to start the evening or to meet up with friends.

The Wetherspoons app was playing up so had to order at the til, lady behind the bar was unbelievably unhelpful as her system wasn't giving her the same options as the app, absolutely no intention of helping me with what she could and couldn't do as sides, sauces etc. Ended up being about a fiver more expensive than the app would have been. However seemed like a friendly place and the food was ok, same as any other microwave or deep fried only establishment.

It's a Wetherspoons. There ok. Clean place, busy. Drinks good price.

Typical Wetherspoons pub, you know what you are going to get. It's excellent value for money, likeable popular food reasonably quick service and great well trained staff. I would definitely come back again.

Not a local type pub so atmosphere lacks, you pay for what you get, staff are polite and friendly, tables are clean and quickly cleared away, one of the better branches of wetherspoons.

I have to say if they'd given me more than 12 chips I'd have given them a ten out of ten. However the fish was amazing. 9.5 out of ten. Best wetherspoons I've had! Excellent price with a drink included too all for under £8. At a pub in betwys y coed I paid over £9 for 2 cokes the other night!!! Cheers all

Lovely pint and pizza, just a shame when we went in they seemed to be busy and short of staff.

Always can rely on a Wetherspoons for good value, good food and a great atmosphere. A nice range of no alcohol beer and cider.

Did their full breakfasts on a couple of occasions and were consistently awesome. Very well managed pub with polite and hard working staff. Not dog friendly so an added bonus. I'd expect a free coffee after such a glowing review but they are after the first cup anyway. Full marks to The Pen Cob.

A great spoons and find on our travels through North Wales! An excellent refurbishment, comfortable chairs and friendly staff! And of course, the prices! A+

As always Wetherspoons never fail to impress with their value, service and food choice. I had the new on the menu Remen noodle soup which was a very tasteful Thai style soup, packed with flavour and highly recommended.

We ordered two steaks, one with chips and one with a jacket potato...and that's how it came. Nothing else on the plate. Awful.

Great food and service in a great pub, loved it there were no dogs inside.

Visited on numerous occasions, food was good for the price staff was so polite friendly and helpful. The building itself was light with plenty of space to move around, which is a big deal when you have mobility issues. The cleanliness of the eating area was really good, but the cleanliness of the toilets was perfect. Go on, give it a try.

Wetherspoons always delivers a good value breakfast and this was no exception. The dining area was clean and pleasant. Staff were friendly what more do you need?

Stopped for a quick pint b4 dinner.. Purple Moose IPA draft for £2.30, amazing! Decent atmosphere but tables needed a wipe (sticky)

Horrid member of staff refused me to sit outside and order, awful attitude, the place was falling to bits inside, saw a member of staff wipe their nose on someone's sandwich before serving. Absolutely grim. Let dogs in.

Nice and clean and good place to drink and eat

The cleanest spoons I have been in ,clean non sticky tables ,no food on floors and no tables with used glasses or plates left on them. Staff were attentive and service was great 👍

Clean, fast service and good selection on the menu. It was heaving when we popped in after a day out at Abersoch but the server came to clean the table as soon as we sat down which was brilliant. Nice selection of activities for kids while they wait. Would come here again😀

Didn't even know Pwllheli had a Wetherspoons till we stumbled upon it and we've driven through it loads of times. Cannot fault it to be fair food, service, atmosphere, friendly staff etc where all spot on, loved the old pictures of the area dotted here and there a nice touch ( We do love old pictures/photos of the area we are visiting, brings a whole new perspective to where you are and where it was way past when, just our opinion). Would we call in again,,,, definitely.

Breakfast is fab. Well done Wendy i think her name was. Your an asset! Sadly dinner, another member flew across the bar rather aggresively to have a go at our 20 year old, who was ordering our food to be told they couldnt give info on gluten free. Our child was telling them one meal was gluten free as they legally have to be aware about the allergy. No apology from the rude woman at all for interrupting let alone getting it very wrong! Meals were devine and cooked well (some were steaks) but didnt leave a tip cos of miss moody, noone expects to be treated like that regardless what side of the bar your on

Lots of flies. An unnerving amount of flies. Only stopped in for a quick drink to tick another spoons off the list. So wasn’t in long. Sunday lunch time, around 12:00. So people still finishing breakfast etc. easy enough to find a table. Sat in the middle ish. Near the door. And just many many flies. The downstairs where the toilets are, also smells a bit stale - outside of the actual toilets. Not a particularly great spoons.

The food was impeccable and the service cannot be faulted however the atmosphere was ruined by the loud locals crammed into essentially quite a small space The outside views were exceptional and was definitely a highlight of the day and trip

Pwllheli was our destination and we really rather liked the place, a lot. But, we needed coffee, quickly. And then a Wetherspoons appeared in front of us. On our travels, a 'Spoons pub has appeared many, many times. Over 200, in fact. In that respect, Pwllheli was no different. And in respect of the pub, that was no different either... The usual format, coffee machines, long bar, carpet that looks like it's been designed by a small child with issues, long march to the bogs, it was all there. So we crossed the carpet that looked like it had been designed by a small child with issues, we used the coffee machines and we made the long march to the bogs. It was Pwllheli, it was a 'Spoons, it was perfect reasonable.

Busy but has a great atmosphere. Welcoming. Nice decor. Good food. Efficient staff.

Worst spoons I’ve ever been in, an hour wait for food is unheard of in any other spoons but not this one . I think they have missed the 15 min for food memo (it wasn’t even that busy compared to most ) love spoons but I’ll swerve this one if I’m in the area again .

18 year old brother got his pint taken off of him even though we were out with parents and we got no refund. Man was very rude .

Very busy, both times we visited (10:30 and 12:00) Waited 50minutes for food but was pre warned by staff before hand of 45minute wait. Food not bad for what you pay for.

I was very pleasantly surprised! £11 and some change gets you fish, chips and peas, and a drink. Value for money is faultless. Thin batter on a reasonably sized fish, this was a lovely lunch. £2.17 for millionaire shortbread ice-cream. You might not get a twist of lemon with your fish and chips, but this was a great meal for a more than reasonable price (the chippy down the road is charging £6 more for fish and chips, not including a drink!) Despite being very busy, service was swift and efficient. Well done

Breakfast hit the spot before getting on the ferry. Staff behind the bar were great and one waiting staff was lovely, the other was like it was an inconvenience on her day.

Very poor, small portion sizes (child's same as adult), no service whatsoever, frozen chips...don't waste your money.

A Spoons is a Spoons. But this one being in Wales and by the sea is a bonus. Staff friendly and quick service, nice chilled atmosphere - perfect to chill with a coffee in the morning! Plenty of deals, good value for money

Have been to a lot of Weatherspoons and have never been disappointed. Great place to eat and drink with plenty of choices on the menu. Will definitely return to this place again.

Called here for quick bite to eat very convenient for station,Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices staff very friendly,service quick even though busy as ⚽️ on ,ordered food which arrived promptly. Overall a good alround experience Happy to recommend 👍

Absolutley dire meal. Gourmet sirloin.....worse ive ever attempted....meaning there there was that much gristle and fat it was inedible ! I did get my money back...process was SLOW. ...As manager was in a meeting ! My son had the large mixed grill...total waste of money...God knows where they source their meat from ??? I wouldnt bother.

Lovely sunny day so the doors were all open and there were pavement tables. We shared a very nice pizza.

One of the nicer places to eat is a weatherspoons been a few but this one is lovley and inexpensive and the staff are friendly what more can you ask for.

Disgusting attitude from bar lady Rachel- had ordered my food today, 4th July, and paid then realised I had not added drinks to my order which I’d paid for, when I went to ask at the bar I was met with rudeness and hostility, told me I hadn’t asked for drinks so she’d closed my tab. I pointed out I hadn’t been aware drinks were included until my son pointed out when I got back to the table, her attitude towards me as a customer was rude. She said “I did say anything else”. She said “on this occasion” she would do it. When I said this should be part of customer service being kind when a customer had made a mistake and I had already paid for drinks I hadn’t had, she said I’ve been here 9 years and not had an issue. Very disappointed as this was my daughter’s birthday and Rachel was a poor example of the usual good customer service you should expect in weatherspoons. She needs customer relations training. Won’t be back

Atmosphere was good but the food was very poor even by spoons standard.

Shame it doesn't allow dogs as all other pubs do !!!

We walked around the town with our pomsky dog and decided to go for a cup cup of tea. We sat outside whist my husband went in to get 3 teas. Whist waiting, a staff member came out and advised no dogs allowed. I advised we are outside but this did no matter even though it a a public footpath and they do not own it. I could not get to my husband in time when had had been served and paid. Another staff member ran over to him from to tell him we are not welcome with the dog and as that was happening, the guy behind the bar quickly put the tea into those cardboard cups without giving us the option to have refund as I'd did not want to stand in the rain away from wetherspoons standing in the public footpath drinking out of of a cardboard cup. So wetherspoons got the purchase and we had no service. Vile! Never go to this place.

Had a few beers, was busy on a Saturday night. Was a good atmosphere

So to say it was a shambles is on understatement. Firstly we could not order on the QR. Then went to the bar to order only to be told we had to pay cash. Having then gone out in the puring rain to get cash. Which took all of 5 minutes we were then told they were no longer taking food orders!! To say we were not best pleased. Had to pack up our 2 prams?, 2 toddlers and a baby and search for an alternative. Complete lack of any communication as people were still coming in and sitting down and no-one was advising them of the lack of food service.🤬

We always go in Friday or Saturday after shopping…. 2 pints each & chicken wings (delicious)… we went in today 21st June .. and for some reason we got 9 wings each portion instead of 10… !!!

Busy Sunday afternoon, however still able to sit down and service was very quick.

Just called to watch the football, good seating, no problem viewing, good picture, staff and drink quality was very good, only downside, England won, never hear the end of it.

Popped in here for a quick lunch with the family, partner had the all day breakfast which he said was very tasty, eldest had chicken strips, nuggets, chips and coleslaw - he loved it! Youngest had kids fish chips and beans which looked and tasted beautiful, I had kids chicken nuggets chips and beans which were lovely.. very quick friendly service food came out really fast, ordered everything through the app.. plenty of seating available around 12 o'clock on a weekday and atmosphere was lovely would definitely return

Great breakfast, unlimited tea and coffee for £1.56, what's not to like? People that slate spoons need to give there heads a wobble, good value in high price times.

My husband and myself were served breakfast by a male member of staff, we of course said thank you he replied in Welsh. When he collected the plates we again said thank you, he again replied in Welsh. We are not Welsh which was obvious and obviously have no idea what he said. He was going around the pub earlier singing in English so I'm sure he speaks it. I found it rude I'm sorry I don't speak Welsh but as its been about 3 years since I've been to Wales I don't really need to learn it. By the way my grandad was Welsh so I don't have a problem with Welsh people.

Shocking. Food arrived cold, took it back to the bar to be told by a blonde girl that if I had a problem with my food to go and find someone on the floor. Walked around for a while and found a girl with dark hair who looked at me as if I’d just run over her cat. She said with a very bad attitude ‘do you want a refund or re-cooked? I was starving after all the walking trying to find someone to complain to so I asked for it to be re-cooked. It arrived still cold so I realised that this was going to be the best I was gonna get. The attitude on the staff was simply disgusting. If that was my business they all would have been sacked on the spot. Fuming!!!!

Came here daily for breakfast and evening meal every day of our holiday at Havan y Mor the breakfasts were excellent and so were the evening meals, well worth a special mention was the sirloin steak i had on steak cub night, it was an 8oz sirloin steak and i can honestly say it was the best sirloin i have ever had and i am 70 yrs old, it was cooked to perfection and was juicy and tender, my partner also enjoyed her chicken tikka masala on curry club night. well worth 5 stars, the only negative is in the evening it can sometimes be difficult to find a spare table.

We have dogs. Apparently Weterspoons company policy does not allow dogs outside the premises. Lost business big time. Recommend Caffi sol around the corner.

Good breakfast and cheap drinks . Good central location too .

Not dog friendly! We were told that dogs couldn’t even sit on the pavement outside! I think they need to get with the times. The pub over the road, Venu, was much better, dishing out bowls of water for dogs with plenty of ice in on a hot day.

I will confess to being a bit of a Wetherspoon fan, having used them a fair bit over the years, but of all that we have visited, this has to be one of our top favourites. Whilst on holiday near Porthmadog, we made a special effort to lunch here and were not disappointed. My wife and I both had sirloin steak, each one being cooked perfectly to our requirements, and thoroughly enjoyable. I rounded off my meal with apple crumble and ice cream, with toffee sauce as an extra. Delicious. The pub was busy, as usual, but service was slick, with hot food, quickly served. We will be visiting again.
