Lovely environment and well presented staff, food is delicious and comes fast after ordering. Also dog friendly which is a bonus. Will definitely be coming for food again. Just a few pesky seagulls you have to be weary of attempting to steal the delicious chips

Lovely pub fabulous staff especially Chris the manager. Made to feel very welcome including our 2 dogs. Yes the place does need a fair amount of TLC by the owner, but the food was excellent! Looking forward to returning soon!!

As a local who would come to Glanaber often, we are so sad that this pub is so unappealing. We walk-in and can’t wait to leave again as it looks dirty and unloved. I always feel like I’m going to be ill after drinking here. I believe the food is nice but I loose my appetite when I go in. Such a shame as it’s the only pub in the village and I think they take advantage of this and don’t bother to do it up. They know they will get the summer tourists. . Has so much potential (being by the beach etc)

Been here multiple times on a Friday for the curry, all homemade and I must say the compliments to the chef the curry’s are proper ( chicken portions very generous and lovely ) also the chips are cut differently usual places and it makes them crispy , overall a nice down to earth atmosphere, great food and very reasonable prices.

Well I very rarely give a bad review but this place has to be one of the worst I have ever visited, it’s filthy and toilets were absolutely appalling, not sure why anyone eat in here as cannot imagine the state of the kitchen.

Saw previous reviews but arrived here after walk along the beach, took one look at the place and decided not to eat here...however staff were lovely so re read food reviews and decided to have food. While ordering, met the landlady who recommended the broccoli and cream cheese bake, hubby had t bone steak. OMG, the food was amazing, best home cooked chips, lovely staff, don’t take this place at face value, we will be back. Only marked down because toilets and overall impression were not great x

Excellent food and service yet again! We stayed locally for a two night break and we returned to this pub after coming here many times a few years back! Nice to be recognized by the owner Chris - Her team are so hardworking and i think the setting is lovely - We opted to eat here both nights as the food is lovely and the portions are huge! The place has had some renovations since our last visit and its nice to see people enjoying the atmosphere! Its also dog friendly so we were able to have a few drinks in the sunshine in the afternoon in the beer garden although dogs are allowed anywhere in this pub -Thank you all once more and we will be back!

We found the pub by walking up the beach, called for a drink, like some other people said bit run down, but friiendly staff, maybe Haven should send some of their staff for customer service, called in a few times and had some food, which was great!

As a family we recently became vegan, the staff at the Tafarn were incredibly friendly, helpful and understanding, they helped us choice some appropriate food - nothing was too much trouble. We visited whilst on holiday, we'll definitely be back.

Loved the previous reviews... ‘shattered dreams’ was hilarious! Its a local pub with a big heart, with fantastic food and good staff. Yes, the surroundings are a little shabby and the toilets need attention but taking these things into account its fine. We had an immense plate if food each, steak for us, burger and fish for the girls. It was presented well with probably the best chips ever. Its usually the beer that tells you if a pub is bad or not and we tried the guest bitter and the Moretti... both we great which is all we needed to convince us to stay. So take a look, but leave all ‘snootiness’ at the door. The pub does need some TLC but its still worth it just for the food and the beach is just down the road.

Decided to stop for a cold beer on our walk back from the beach.Great cold beer in clean glasses sat outside enjoying the good weather. We decided to have lunch of a tuna baguette with chips, I must say the chips were gorgeous and the baguette was huge!!! Glad we decided to share.Service is friendly. From the outside the place doesn’t look like much and yes may need updating but we enjoyed it and will stop off again when we next visit!!

We were told the food here is fantastic and I can confirm it’s true. Fresh cooked, good quality food, well presented by very friendly staff. Dog friendly and even gave our large dog his own bowl of water. Will definitely be coming back again.

Hidden gem !!!!! Stayed a couple of days at the touring site nearby for the beautiful black rock beach. Came across the wonderful place for our evening meals. Outstanding staff, good wholesome food and dog friendly. Thank you very much. 5*****.

We only went in because it was the only toilets we could find. If it wasn't for the lit up open sign, you'd think the place was closed down. Toilets were horrendous, the place smelt mouldy and was in severe need of a good cleanup, and the Guinness tasted off. I suppose as its the only bar in the area they have no reason to put any effort in.

Stopped in Greenacres Holiday Park for a couple of days took a walk along the beach and called in Tafarn Glanaber for lunch tasty food and a very warm welcome well worth a visit

This is a lovely pub with very friendly staff made us feel very welcome during our stay in surrounding area food is lovely you won't leave hungry due to portion sizes 😊

Chris the landlady catered for 70 guests with an amazing buffet. The tables were laid with white table cloths and purple runners, white chair covers and the lounge area was decorated with fairy lights and purple balloons.Everyone was dancing all night to an excellent singer who Chris had hired. The local regulars joined in.It was a great evening. Thankyou Chris and staff

Don't do food on a Sunday probably one of the busiest days shame ther loss

This place is that bad I considered going for a tetanus jab after visiting!

Good value food, staff were friendly and even came up and asked if everything was ok with our food . Beach only down the road -ideal! The only downside was it can do with updating especially the toilets area .

Used to come here years ago as a kid it used to be great clean and tidy wow what a difference I brought my kids this time we sat outside because the whole place stunk. The toilets were disgusting hundreds of flies flying round in then and stunk. The kids meals were really good my cheeseburger was just a fake catering skinny burger. Such a shame to see it in such a ruin. Been going to Greenacres for over 25 years and we used to always go the glan aber. Won’t be bringing my children back to there anyway.

Went here last night for the curry night WOW amazing as always Chris made us so welcome as usual anyone who has not been there to eat is a must never had a bad meal there ever been going there for years and we come from Chester so not just round the corner.... some of the comments on here about the place are VERY unjust the one comment about no food speaks for itself no food means THE FOOD THAT GOOD sold out anyway can't wait for tomorrow to come.... Sunday dinner will be amazing as usual cu tomorrow Chris ... Phil & Ann xx

10 of us walked here from Greenacres in the hope of spending the evening having a meal & a few drinks however when we arrived we were told they had ran out of food! Bit of a nightmare when you’ve got kids & there’s no where else for miles.

Travel all the way from Chester to eat your wonderful food. love your curry night on a Friday and your beef and mushroom baguettes at lunch with chips, but the best meal by far is your yummy Sunday lunch .So tasty. . Thanks again to Chris and her friendly staff for always making us feel at home .Salt of the earth people. if I lived here ,I would be a regular. my family are at the van on Sunday , might just have to come down for another roast. NEVER had a bad meal here , maybe some of your other visitors should try before passing judgement. NEVER judge a book by its cover is what I would say ..

Day one of our walking holiday in Snowdonia and this pub was conveniently located on our path.

Had a fantastic meal from the take away menu Saturday night, really nice and tasty , good price too.

Love the good old Glan. Used to work there. food and drink is still exceptional. Staff very friendly

Typical beach pub that obviously caters for just tourists and not locals. Toilets look run down. Looks grubby. Definitely needs a bit of TLC to draw in more customers and locals

Whilst staying 4 nights at Greenacres caraven park we found the Tafarn Glanabar. We went there for a drink each night during our stay. It was a good pint at a good price and the staff there are very welcoming and friendly.

This place is absolutely minging!

Smelly, sticky dirty place. My feet was stuck to the floor, there was hair in mine and my husbands food!!! I wanted to walk straight out the door but we couldn't as we were the only people there and we felt rude just to get up and go so we had the carvary, omg how we now regret it, the food was OK if you like frozen roast potatoes and smash!!! Oh and a lot of hair in your mouth!! dirty glasses, dirty cutlery. Let's just say we will not be going back!!! It has to be one of the worst places we have ever been!!!

Lovely place next to black rock sands. Accepts dogs. Carvery on Sunday. I had the prawn starter. Friend had broccoli and cheese bake. Good sized portions beautifully cooked and very tasty. Good value for money.

The pub is a little dated but you cant have it all. Tremendos hosts offer a great welcome to all. A pub that welcomes dogs with childrens and disabled facilities such as ramps for scooters and wheelchairs a small park outside and even books for kids ,darts and pool room .The meals served at this venue are good quality cooked to order if quiet even off menu requests are accomadated great choice of drinks from Tea beers and spirits and of course soft drinks for children.

Guinness is poor unfortunately which spoils a nice pub. It's flat in 10min!!!

Had a family meal here last night. Looks more like a canteen than a restaurant for seating. The food, both for adults and children, was delicious. More than made up for the seating. Staff friendly and efficient. Would certainly go back for the delicious food at good prices too.

I have never been to such a filthy place in my entire life. My parents had been many years ago and we decided to re-visit with them.

This is a pub/restaurant that it is pretty basic with no frills. However saying that it’s a place the kids can play and you can take the dogs. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is ok.

Lovely food, large portions with quick service and friendly staff. Interior could do with a lick of paint but that's the only negative. Wish we'd found this place sooner in our stay.

Food and staff make it. Been going in over the years. Interior is tired but they put heart and soul into the food. They don't believe in small portions.you have been warned..lol

Good food and excellent prices, we ate here most of the time as they allowed dogs inside, and also being a short walk from where we were staying.

Cracking staff and good honest food. If you want cordon bleu, go and pay for it, if you want good, honest pub food you can't go wrong here.

Thus place is fantastic, just off black rock sands beach, big outside area with loads of room insides. The food is excellent with very large portions and Chris can’t do enough to ensure we get what we want. We’ve been going here for 7 years and over 20 times a year.

We keep coming back here as we love the food. Chris ( the manageress) always goes above and beyond to make are visit enjoyable.

This pub doesn't look much but never judge a book by its cover. The staff are lovely. The food is great, I had the giant fish and chips and the fish was as big as my fore arm. There's plenty of outdoor seating with a kids play area. Great beers. Car parking. Located close to the beach.

This pub is probably the worst i have ever visited its worn out ,ripped seats grubby decor filthy carpets the outside seating area has hundreds of fag ends all over the floor ,also extremely expensive drinks

What a tired, smelly and run down place. Such a shame because the location is amazing, with stunning views. Looks like it’s not been looked after for a number of years. It didn’t smell or look clean anywhere. The carvrry section was covered in gravy and mess (we went on Tuesday 12th June 2018). Daren’t try the food. Visited with people who’d been there 9+ years ago and fond memories of a lively and clean place - so disappointed.

Visited this place with family after they had recommended it - they used to come here years ago (about 9 years ago) and have great memories. Well memories is all it has now. Didn’t feel comfortable eating there as it looked and smelled dirty. Such a shame, no money or effort seems to have gone into the place for many years. Could be great and in such a great location. Very disappointed

Dirty place! Terrible service, waited over an hour for my food and had an angry 2 year old. Seeing underage teenagers getting served and drinking in the restaurant. Very rude staff. Staff behind the bar constantly on their phone and being ignorant.

Brought a group of friends here as i lived in the area 30 years ago, and spent many a happy hour at the Glanaber. The staff were fabulous, the food was good although a little overpriced, but the place really needed a good clean!! The toilets hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time, and the whole place just looked unloved and run down. A great shame!!

The last time we visited this place in August I commented on the seemly high cost of the fish chips and peas. It is now called the Codfather and it is a massive meal. In fact all the meals we ordered we could not finish. Excellent food. Staff are very friendly and so are the customers. Retired to the patio area to finish our drinks on a lovely sunny evening.

One of our favourite places to go, yummy food, lovely people and a great location!! 😍🍻go back every year!! Love sitting outside in the sun having a drink while the kids play, just couldn't imagine not calling in and seeing everyone!

The food here is amazing home cooked quality food and the size of the meal you get here is unbelievable I would recommend the lasagna. The location is also amazing as this is situated on beach road so less than a minute walk to the beach.

Just had a fabulous meal...barbecue chicken. Huge portion of chicken breast, masses of chips and accompaniments. Piping hot, and very tasty. Brilliant value.

What a sh@thole, first impression when you walk up to the front door 500 dog ends brushed into the corner. Walk into the conservatory, threadbare carpet, worn out upholstery on the benches. Smells like a cheap 1970's night club! It's such a shame this could be the best pub in north wales. Right by the beach, surrounded by hundreds of thirsty/hungry caravaners ( maybe that's why they can afford to let it go) The staff were friendly and helpful, the beer was nice and cold but we weren't brave enough to try the food. No competition that's the trouble.

Called on my way back off the beach with the dog, was only calling for a pint and ended up having a meal, the owner and staff were amazing, the food was hot and fresh, It was beautiful, even my dog was made to feel welcome as we ate in the conservatory were dogs are allowed, definitely be back. We've been going to Porthmadog for years and eaten food here on more occasions than I can count. Tonight was the first night we visited the advertised curry night . As in the title it was amazing food. I am very fussy with meat and food in general but was very impressed that I downloaded the app and put on this review an hour after my visit. It's a nice pub with great food ! :)

We were recommended to try here as we had dogs with us so we did. The food was well cooked but very overpriced. £15.50 each for fish chips and peas.The place itself is very run down and needs refurbishing. Toilets not good .

Food is brilliant, beer is affordable, really nice place. 4 stars due to 1 customer kinda ruined that but other than that excellent place for children and adults as there's enough room for everyone.

My husband & I had the most fabulous food here steak, chips & onion rings & salad, beautifully presented........ Lovely staff, had a great chat with the barman & the ace lady who cooked our food. Beautiful hot log burner going, just as well because it poured buckets. Got to meet their gorgeous pup too,she was a lovely as her owners. Very many thanks guys, hope we see you again, next time we visit Morfa Bychan.
