The best restaurants in Porthmadog West Gwynedd North Wales

4 visits this week food was always fresh, good quality & good value with generous portions. I found some of the previous comments about the staff unfair as they are efficient & considerate, even getting people to bunch up so people are sheltered from the rain outside. Looking forward to visiting again on my next visit to the area. :-)

We Went to the club for New Year’s Eve in a group.The food was excellent, and service well organised. The entertainment, a female singer made for a great atmosphere, singing all the popular party songs and the dance floor was never empty. Special mention to Paul the manager couldn’t do enough and worked hard all night to make the evening successful. Shame the weather put paid to the fireworks but altogether a very enjoyable way to see in the new year!

£7 for a pint no thank you shall not be going back refuse to pay such ridiculous stupid prices

Ordered a delivery to Portmeirion, on a Friday evening. Great communication about delivery time, very prompt delivery after ordering. Excellent food, beautiful king prawns, all really tasty and still really hot when we got it back to our motorhome. Would definitely use again - thank you 😃

It took us a while to phone through last night but it was well worth the wait 👌 best pizzas in North Wales.

Food was fine but horrifically overpriced. If they reduced the prices by 50%, then all good. But unfortunately not worth the money. Suggest you go elsewhere.

Nice little pub with good food and normal alcohol prices, great place to go.

We visited the Royal Sportsman hotel to celebrate my partners birthday, we had a wonderful time, although we did not dine in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival, we did enjoy a hearty breakfast the next day, everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff very friendly and welcoming, we would recommend this hotel without reservation, we will be visiting again.

Had a delish steak, cooked just to my liking (well done!). Even better that they allow dogs - they offered my wee pup a piece of sirloin, but he had to decline as he’s a vegetarian.

We decided to try the carvery and kids meals offer, and so glad we did. The offer was two roasts for £18 and two kids meals @ £1 each so a family of four could eat for £20 (x2) We went as a family of 8 (4 adults and 4 children 8 and under) at about 12.45pm Andrea took our order and was polite and efficient in doing so. The tables were clean and ready for use and the standard of cleanliness was good. We were all impressed by the quality of the food, the meat was moist and succulent (a choice of turkey, beef and gammon) the vegetables were cooked to perfection and everything was piping hot and there was plenty of it. The children’s meals were a hit all round and were brought to our table by very polite staff. All in all a very pleasant lunchtime experience which we would recommend highly going by our visit on this occasion
