The best restaurants in Porthmadog East Gwynedd North Wales

Product seems ok, waiting time to be served for an ice cream, absolutely ridiculous only one staff member serving at the time and was busy with the cafe side

I very rarely leave reviews but I am amazed to read some of the rave reviews here as we have just had an extremely disappointing experience. Yes, the food is tasty, but the service is slow and portions are miserable. Bruschetta starter was 3 of the teeniest pieces of bread possible, and a decent pot of guacamole came with a disappointingly meagre portion of tortillas. Both delicious but portion size not aligned with cost. We drew the line at one of our mains - the chicken burger was literally a thin sliver of chicken. We assumed it was a mistake and sent it back. The manageress was very apologetic but said it was the correct size. She did offer a free drink but we declined. The final straw was waiting for our dessert order to be taken. My daughter caught the eye of the waitress several times and heard the group of waitresses talk about taking the order but, after an interminable wait, the waitress finally came to our table with the bill. So no dessert. Perhaps they realised we wouldn't have thought much of the portion size! We'll never know what size the desserts are because we won't be going back.

Coffee was thrown in from the door...ordered a latte which was a huge glass but sadly could not taste a hint of coffee....my sister had a cappuccino and the same thing....diabolical...I could not drink mine...it was just warm milk really

Didnt have food and not sure they do food but am starvin. Needless to say i had such a good laugh i forgot i was hungry. I think they do food but ye what a good place. Seriouly if yr down this way and dont go there yr missing out. Great ppl bril banter and this is the monday after England played wales in the six nations. 😇🤣🥰🥰🥰 But i have edited this cos the food is 4 star in my opinion out of 5. Also kid and dog friendly what more can you ask for.

I was waiting for a train and I saw this coffee shop a short distance away from the station in Porthmadog. It was virtualy empty appart from one other customer. I ordered a cappachino and waited for it to be made before sitting near thge window with a view of the Tesco store and carpark. The coffe wasa average although cheaper than most other cafes but it was too hot, almost boiling. As I had to wait longer than expected I only just caught my train!

The tea was fine, but the toilet was broken and the service not very engaged.

Can't wait to try will update tomorrow. 11 of 10 one of its kind the pizza is AMAZING.

Avoid it ....its like the living dead in here.Miserable women on the till,I thought she was just having a bad day until I read the other reviews!!. Looks like they had lessons off Basil Fawlty for customer service. Trust me....take a packed lunch.

23rd December town very busy with last minute shoppers..stop for a coffee and breakfast bap...nothing in the cupboard...surely they knew they'd be busy?? It was only 10.30am...nothing left by 2 sandwiches...
