The best restaurants in North Wales

Visited this pub while on a solo break away with my dog a couple of weeks ago and it was a fantastic atmosphere, great service, lovely food and I have to give the highest praise to the lady (who I think was a manager or supervisor) (gutted I didn’t catch her name) but she was so friendly and welcoming, she made a fuss of my dog even giving her some doggie treats which went down (a treat) 😆would definitely recommend this place and will be sure to visit again next time I’m passing!!

Fancied a pizza after a long drive to Wales. We were greeted with a warm smile and upon ordering we were given some garlic dough balls compliments of the chef - these were really delicious. The pizza was tasty - the tomato sauce was tangy yet sweet. The base was more bread like that a traditional Italian sour dough pizza but still enjoyable. The chill oil was also homemade and was full of flavour, one of the best chilli oils I’ve eaten. Really reasonably priced. Under £30 for 2 people. Great for a quick cheap bite.

We only had one drink the place was empty the young girl was nice behind the bar but just makes me wonder if alot of the reviews are true as nobody came in the whole time we was there. Real Shame as we would of gone in again but just no atmosphere

Great place for dinner and good beer. Dog friendly in certain areas. Large garden for sunny days. Best to book ahead to avoid disappointment. Visited twice during our week away

There was no food we wanted and we wanted a bmt and there was no ham so he charged us more for what’s already in a bmt and he was really rude🙁🙁🙁🙁

We made the mistake of going back to this pub having visited several times over the years, it was completely dead and the bar lady had a serious attitude problem, when two other guests arrived the bar woman was now siting in the corner and i pointed her out simple saying the bar woman was over there - she completely turned on me obviously annoyed i’d called her a bar woman ( she clearly wasn’t a solicitor) which also resulted in her partner becoming extremely aggressive and was expecting a physical assault to be taking place, luckily i managed to de escalate the situation which if full of locals would’ve only been worse. The woman clearly has mental health problems and probably a drug user and shouldn’t be working in an environment selling alcohol.

As a local. Not eaten here for years, but have to say the Sunday dinner was really good. Plenty of food and a side of Cauliflower Cheese was great. Thanks to Jason and Charlotte for squeezing us in, as it was packed. Will return.

We were looking for somewhere downtown harlech for a drink and food with our two boys, 9 and 14 years of age. We read the sign outside. Everyone welcome except for children. Dogs especially welcome. Adults only. A few of the local guys told me it's a swingers hotel where the dogs can get involved. Avoid. If you do want a good pint with holiday makers and locals all enjoying good food and drink and friendly conversation I would highly recommend walking an extra 200yds to the pub right next to the train station. Dogs, kids, humans all seem to be equally welcome

Plants healthy, all the Christmas tat you could hope for, cafe large, too large for the one person on the till & serving, excellent mega breakfast and the grimmest cafe toilets I’ve encountered for a long time

Love Starbucks coffees but if you want specials they run out of some quick and never get them back. We went the day after the latest ones came out and had run out Of the fudge brownie hot chocolate already went twice a week since and never have it in stock, same happened with one the autumn specials. Will not stop me using here but disappointing.

Have been using this takeaway for years...with never a taste problem. However on Saturday 9.11.24. My sonevwas with us from Manchester...we order food for collection via phone...looked forward to it with anticipation...it was inedible chicken fried rice with curry sauce..!! Both were so salty it really was aweful...hopefully we will be more successful next time. My son was very disappointed following his journey and we were all left hungry...toast sadly only thing on the menu.

Had a fantastic meal here Sunday 22nd. My Wife had the special of lamb rump and I had the seafood linguine. The service and the food were faultless, rebooked for a fortnights time.

Food took over an hour to arrive and was stone cold by the time it did. Tracking showed it was finished cooking about 10 mins after ordering, so presumably it was sat out for around 40+ mins before leaving the restaurant as we’re only 10 mins away

A nice brew pub which is large inside, there is the bar area and a restaurant around the back. We reserved a table for the evening, but there were only a few people in there so it suited us, the other bar area was busy with families. The food was good and the beer was also good. A few selections of different beers but not as many as advertised on their site. The beauty was, we camped at the back so it was ideal. The steam train runs along the back of the site. There is a garden around the back with seating.

Great atmosphere, spacious and it has a pool table. A bit of a wait to get our drinks. The veranda has plenty of tables and a great view of Lynn Efrnwy. Beware the fag butts bowl though. It has a food menu that fits with the venue.
