Found out it was cash only after ordering, but they gave directions to the cashpoint which was close by and prepared my order whilst they waited for me to return to pay. As a small business I can appreciate why cash only and half expected them not to prepare order until I returned, but they did.
Tasty doner kebab, chips and onion rings. Portion sizes were good (larger than expected). Staff were friendly and helpful.
Would recommend.
You are able to eat in, but we couldn't because we had our dog with us.
Very lovely place. After a hike we found this place to have some food and drinks. We absolutely loved it. Amazing staffs, Fantastic food. Thanks for serving.
Fast service with friendly staff. The grilled chicken and lamb were well prepared and above average. The bread was disappointing, as we couldn't get a knife into it and had to eat it with a knife and fork. They should open up the bread for customers and load the kebab.

The experience we had was horrible. We arrived around 9:45 PM, and at that time, the man at the counter—his name was Stewart—was shouting at his colleague, telling her to go and close the main door. We placed our order, but due to network issues, we were unable to pay at the kiosk, so we went to the counter to pay instead. Stewart was very rude, and when he handed us our food, he just threw it onto the counter. When we asked about the drink included in the bill, he rudely replied, ‘Whatever’s on the bill is there.’ It was truly a terrible experience.
Have been wanting to try this place for a while. Last night myself and my husband got the opportunity to do so and it by far and away exceeded my expectations!
The menu is varied, as a seafood restaurant is of course predominantly fish, but they cater broadly too, with duck, steak and chicken dishes also available. But of course I’d gone to a seafood restaurant with the name “The Seahorse” so it without doubt that my order would be fish.
I’d booked a table (which on arrival I was especially glad I had done, as the restaurant is a small one). Our sever greeted us warmly and we were shown to our table.
My starter was scallops with black pudding. Wow! Perfect. The portion size was exactly what you’d want from a starter.
My main was pesto and cheese stuffed salmon. Perfect also. No bones in the fish as you occasionally get with fish. It was a good portion size.
My husband enjoyed his dishes too, (also pictured).
The restaurant is family friendly, and appeared to have a highchair, and is dog friendly too, having a bed for the canine family members!
The service is excellent. Our server was attentive, asking if we wanted drinks between courses without us having to ask for them.
Can’t wait to return and am sorry I didn’t visit sooner!
The food is really nice. Staff are friendly and polite. you don't have to have a main meal you can just eat from the buffet. chicken nuggets & chips for fussy kids mine included, and it's all you can eat. With self serve soft ice cream machine witch my kids loved. There is a £5 charge for excessive food waste but its worth it 90 minutes during busy peek stairs, only nearly 2 flights but the food is well worth it no doggy bags / take-home
We've just returned from our 3rd visit to Royal Goat Hotel and can't wait to return, Manasa and her team made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, our room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee available, also toiletries provided in bathroom, bar facilities and food menu very good, dog friendly, wonderful location.
The obsession with “Non customers” using the toilets pushes people away as the one member of staff we encountered is very rude.
Staff member was locking the toilet as we asked to use them to change our baby and was very rudely told it’s for customers only. When we tried to explain we were customers and someone we’re with is picking out items to buy we were ignored and she walked away. Apparently it’s 50p for “non customers” to use the toilet but we weren’t even given that as an option despite going out of our way to visit the mill and (as the plan was) to buy things. We all left without buying anything so we went somewhere else on our road trip. Another woollen company had the £300+ we ended up spending and this one didn’t even get the 50p charge for their beloved toilet. Terrible business sense and rude staff
Amazing quality, best Chinese food we've had in a long time I highly recommend the honey and garlic shredded beef - so yummy and sweet sour pork balls the pork is amazingly soft and tasty not your usual dried out chewy lumps use this place you won't be disappointed
