Star Kebab House in Gwynedd

Been here plenty of times, haven't been for 6 months. Large donner kebab was small, meat was thick and like it had been cooked way in advance. Chicken donner was like shwarma and not shredded chicken. Chicken wraps barely had any filling. Everything was luke warm. Cost 32 pounds and was definitely not worth it. Will not be returning. We nearly ordered the bala special at £15 which we normally do but thank goodness we never.

Great food, hot and fresh, good portions, friendly staff, reasonably priced, we had the mixed special kebab, best we’ve had in a while, busy and locals eating in and taking out, would recommend

The best kebab shop I ever been. The food is delicious and absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly especially the boss Jimmy. Quality food and the best price.

Best kebab place in Gwynedd. All delicious, but the chicken special is a wee treat for the soul. The staff are always working so hard too. A firm favourite.

Worst food experience I've had. Ordered chicken and lamb done, got an inedible chewy mass, covered in mayo and with a cold pitta chucked on the top not even sliced open. Not the red cabbage, chili sauce, and garlic and herb I was expecting. One word horrendous.

My husband went in to order cheese burger and chips and asked for a pinapple which hes had in the past. The answer for the pineapple was a very abrupt NO. He was’t offered any onions, salad, sauce nor Salt & Vinegar!!! The food was very tastless and disappointed. Won’t be visiting there ever again.

Fresh and tasty. Kebabs and burgers are great. Pizzas are okay, not bad but not great. Staff are nice and friendly.

Best takeaway pizza we've had in years thankyou we all sat and ate the lot and would definitely return on our next visit to the area

The First time i visit this place and ordered Donor meat and chips Half way into my food something didn’t feel right and i couldn’t eat more and ended up not feeling great for the rest of the night…. I decided to give it another go few weeks later and yet the same thing happened again!! and ended up ill Shame really, but not visiting here again Something is not right Nobody should feel ill after food

Driving back through Bala, stopped off at the Star Kebab House on the High Street as it looked inviting for a takeaway kebab - sadly thats where the good points abruptly ended. I ended the evening with an incorrect order of poor quality and over cooked meat served by unhelpful staff who can't follow basic instructions. AVOID at all costs would be my advice as i certainly won't be going back.

Busy and had to wait but reasonably good. Decent price too. Much better than the curry place down the road. Good diner and kebabs.

Five star pizzas and kebabs- excellent family meal, really good pizza, better than high street brands, and great donner

Had Chicken Kebab from this establishment yesterday, bit pricey but pleasant. But WHY charge extra for sauces which are normally included in similar Kebab places ?

We had a Pizza and a combo kebab, very good, very tasty and well priced. Ready quickly too! Would recommend.

The worse kebab I have ever eaten. I know how doner meat is made but I don’t expect small pieces of bone in a kebab. Very cheap kebab meat. Don’t bother.

We called in quite late on a Thursday evening having driven for 4 hours and was still half an hour from our destination. I phoned in our order of three chicken kebabs (one without pitta but with extra salad) and a doner wrap; and spoke to someone who understood exactly what we wanted. We were ten minutes away and as promised, when we arrived out meals were waiting for us along with a complementary bottle of coke. When we finally arrived at our digs and could settle down to eat we unanimously agreed that our kebabs were some of the finest, and we would make a point of calling in again next time we are in the area
