Peak bar i was there on Saturday with my mates excellent service and good prices even tho my mate got to pissed and removed best bar ever

The attitude that the bartender had towards me and my friends was a disgrace I don’t recommend going there at all he shouted at my friend for spilling beer on the floor when his drunk

One and only worst bar in the town. Means whole UK. The behaviour of the owner is very worst and rude. I will never recommend this bar to anyone else. The owner is literally awful.

Not been here in a while every time I come it is closed when I used to be open it was a nice place to go for a quick bite to eat it was generally quite busy it is a shame it is closed in the day now I would have got my breakfast here today last time I was hear food wasn't best but the service was good and the place was clean and tidy but

A very bizarre venue and strange vibe. Bar staff were wearing disposable gloves and it was all just very odd.

Looking for a quiet pint and something to eat. Got both. Surprised that this place was empty when other pubs on the high street seems to be busy. Maybe the Welsh, who are known to be very insular, give it a miss as it’s run by ‘foreigners’. Anyway the food was superb and great value.

Closes 3 days a week. You'd think they'd open Sunday's. Just shows how much money they make the rest of the week.

It's was ok in there. My friend and I went last night to check it out and possibly meet people. Maybe we went at the wrong time but at 10pm on a Friday it was completely dead and my friend said she found the music off putting. Needs to be a bit more lively that time of night to be enjoyable. Our vodka and cordial drinks didn't taste right. Could possibly need a stronger brand. Was like drinking a glass of pure vodka. The staff were nice and friendly but the bar needed more going on. We were better off staying at The Castle pub which shouldn't be the case for drinking before a club.

Avoid avoid avoid!! Terrible staff, they were incredibly rude and charged more than the price on the drinks menu. I felt threatened into paying the extra money. Do not believe the 2 for £10 offers on the cocktails that have no time restrictions on the very complicated menus that are apparently it of date. Somehow the fact that they haven't been provided with up to date menus became my problem when it came to paying the bill! I couldn't have believed that this could be legal bit was pressured into paying 40% more than I had read on the menu. 🙁

Expensive, only open on weekends, standard food, good cocktails

Absolutely brilliant pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the bar is under new management and you can see the difference. It's started selling shisha for £15 and £10 on a monday and tuesday. Nowhere nearby offers shisha so it's an absolute bargain. Plus the selection of drinks is great! Would definitely recommend going with friends or alone you won't be disappointed!

Amazing, fantastic and brilliant. Cannot rate the fat cat highly enough! Service was incredibly friendly and prompt with fairly priced cocktails and food. I thoroughly enjoyed the solero pitcher and pizza that I had. I enjoyed it so much in fact, that I ate it before even taking a photo! Service was second to none with every effort being made to ensure that me and my party were catered for. Such a shame that I don't live in Bangor else I would come more often!

Went today for food and drinks to get out of the cold..what a welcoming place..decor was lovely and staff were so friendly couldn't do enough for us and we had dog with us. Would have loved to have checked it out at night can imagine it being really cosy and inviting.

Awful food, took over 45 minutes to come out, burger was over cooked, nachos weren’t nachos, and had a dusting of cheese on them, chicken burger was warm, pizza was doughie and under cooked and chips were served swimming in oil, as a result of eating the food my wife who had the chicken burger has been in bed all day with stomach cramps, didn’t touch the nachos whatever they were and my kids turned their nose up at the pizza, I’m only giving a one star as there is no option for a 0 stars!! Paid £60 for 5 of us

Terrible food. They had run out of everything and what they gave us seemed off... Poor service too. It's a shame because it was good about 10 years ago

Severely Dire, waited an hour for a 7mm thick rump steak overcooked with 7 undercooked sweet potato fries and 3 slices of lettuce. My outlook on life has decreased tenfold.

Waited over 1 hour and 15 mins for only 4 burgers with chips. walked to the loo to find part of our meal on the bar with no one there.. and when it finally came out it was raw, cold and taste discussing . Needless to say we got money back.. avoid this place at all costs.

Quirky with nice food and good service

Got really crunked at the bar with the boys but had really fast and attentive service especially from our bartender Matt who had some difficult cocktails from us to make 🙈🙈 Definitely one of the better places in Bangor for a night out would highly recommend 👍🏼

Excellent service and great beer

Took over 50 mins for food to arrive. My pizza was undercooked and didn't taste nice at all and my cousin's pizza was burnt. Service was nice but kept disappearing so couldn't talk to waiter when we needed him. Definitely would not recommend

Don't go there! Waited so long for my food wasn't even worth the wait. Wouldn't go there again. Only 3 tables with people on. No reason why we had to wait for so long!!

Drinks seemed a bit overpriced but the coffee is very good. You usually can't hear people across the table on the music themed nights, which may or may not be a good thing.

Friendly atmosphere..Good cocktails! Would recommend Long island ice tea (As long as your not driving!!!)

Really good food the manager Rob and the chefs Romunda and Tom are brilliant the new lad who's there now is nice and friendly just a little slow

The food was really nice though the service was a bit slow. They need to improve on service.

Thought it was nice until I got to the bottom of my pint to find the inside of the bottom of the glass was filthy 🤮 no wonder it has a 1 food hygiene rating

This place has gone down hill! The toilet down stairs had no lights or toilet roll. And the bar down stairs had limited choices.

It’s mood lightning is perfect for a date, there are no many places in Bangor which portray such aesthetics.

After years of avoiding this place after a bad experience I decided To give the place another shot, I asked the bar man for the menu we sat at the bar and waited he then told us he would bring it over to the table where we waited another 10 Minutes. I ordered the vegetable lasagnea and my partner order a Cajun chicken wrap. And a portion of paprika fries. My lasagnea was under cooked the pasta sheets were still hard and under cooked the vegetable pieces were way to big it was nothing like a lasagnea the garlic bread had a strong plastic taste to it I barely touched my meal at all. The Cajun chicken wrap tasted nothing like Cajun chicken it was just a stirfry sauce , when the meal arrived I asked the waiter to bring me mayonnaise and it never arrived. To top it all off I'm sure our White Russian cocktails were made with gone off cream the whole thing had curdled on the top and just didn't taste right. Won't be eating here again.

The nachos where worthy of an international incident. The Guinness was an insult to a proud people. The constantly buzzing speaker was just icing on the cake.

Popped in for lunch!! Extremely disappointed my fish batter was raw so had to return my meal....and herbs on the chips why? By the time I got my meal my partner had finished hers....when I paid for our meal I expressed my disappointment that I had to send my meal back I ate alone and had to rush due to parking....no real appollagy....we won't be returning

Amazing variety of cocktails and the 2 for 1 offer makes them incredibly reasonable. The food is also great, with good snack food and main meals, as well as vegetarian choices. Great vibe and lovely customer service.

Food OK for what you pay for and lots of it. Great atmosphere but the service is very, very slow... it takes ages from ordering to serving... be ready wait and wait but staff very pleasant... at busy times they should have extra staff to make the cocktails as it is a popular cocktails venue which might explain the long wait for food...

Good place for having good time with friends and beer!

Service is occasionally very slow, down to cocktails I reckon during rush times. The interior is very cosy and relaxing, like an old gents club, but trendy, this is a student haunt, but not brash and stupid or gobshitey. Nice veranda for a sunset. Drinks prices v.reasonable well served and great bar staff.

Really disappointing service. Ordered two cocktails at 7:45pm, brought two drinks that we hadn't ordered over to us which we didn't want. By 8:15pm there was no sign of our drinks. No apology offered.

Felt sorry for the barman. Bar was quite busy & he was by himself. Had to wait and hour for food.

The atmosphere is great, but service for drinks was sloppy at best. Bar staff have little knowledge of the cocktails available and left a friend of mine feeling quite ill. I have been before and had a good time and had great cocktails, it's a shame that standards slipped on the night I went.

Interesting building, nice drinks but poor quality overpriced food

A nice place with big windows on the front to people watch and a nice seating area outside at the back. It has a nice vibe and style with acoustic songs playing in the day. The staff were very friendly and chatty and prices were reasonable for drinks. We only had drinks in the day on a Thursday and Saturday here but made a point of popping in again the second time. Only issue was it was very quiet in the middle of the day with never any more than 4 other people in. In addition an alarm kept going off which after the 50th time got a little bit annoying although I'm sure that's not a regular occurrence. Cool place for cocktails and drinks, not sure what it's like in the evening.

Found this place by chance while staying in Bangor. Great atmosphere, great choice of both UK & US craft beers. Choice of quality hand pulled cask ales too! Can really recommend the food, fab! If you're in the area check it out.

Nice place at the right times, does do nice cocktails, but very expensive. It does really good food, with good portions and nice quality. The prices are from £8 up to £15 for main meals, but drinks are all normal prices. Good place but definitely not a local go-to

Pizza very burnt and no taste. Service slow. Ambiance good.

This place could be nice however the cocktails there are extremely expensive, poorly made and the bar staff are reluctant to make a cocktail how you like it. The food does not come out at the same time so you are left waiting 10+ minutes for all the food to arrive. The prices are very high for the quality of food and the owner is largely disrespectful and rude. However this place could do well with the right management.

Love Fat Cats always nice atmosphere, lovely staff and great grub. Been to LLandudno and Chester branches too they both just as special.. we love it.

This place could be so much better, but each time I go in I feel like there's a film of grime over everything.... and half of the place smells of pee. Grim.
