The best restaurants in Mid Wales

Travelling back to Swansea from Lake District and goggling a place to stop for Sunday Lunch. This had good reviews & I now know why. The hosts were really friendly, the place was clearly popular. And the ambience & decor was quaint & cosy. Finally, the sunday roasts were so so tasty. Generous portions , and home cooked to the highest quality. Hope to visit again on our travels. ( notice they also do camping & Glamping options too )

An extensive choice of dishes. We settled for Biryani and it was fabulous. Waiter was attentive, friendly & polite. Prices were very reasonable and food was prepared and cooked extremely well. Will definitely visit again. The Naan breads were enormous, next time we'll just order one and share it.

All vibes, no substance. We were excited to experience some unique cocktails based on the bar's great menu off their website. Upon arrival, we were given a tattered menu that looked nothing like the one online. The drinks were okay, nothing spectacular. The service was horrid. One server worked four two-tops, including ours. After we finished our first and only drink, he never checked in or asked if we wanted another. The other guests had the same experience because they left after one drink as well. Guess the server was too busy chatting with the three girls behind the bar.

My husband and I had a fabulous meal at the Feast last night. Both of us had a starter, main and dessert and we agreed that every single dish was delicious. It’s not often we find a restaurant that can deliver that. Couple this with a really great friendly and warm service means there is no doubt that we will return.

Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Food was amazing. We had pork roast and Llanhamlach chicken… then lemon meringue cheesecake. Would recommend it all. Diolch!

Normally okay but poor customer service Told twice I'd be served shortly and then told the bar not open. Upon leaving spooted someone else is sat in there with a pint! Couldn't cope with coffee orders so sent me walking, annoyed. Really brave reply from the keyboard warrior running social media. I'll ring in later to chat with manager

Delicious food in a great cafe.

A pleasant meal with excellent service but very quiet, i suppose thats usually to be expected in January. Probably the nicest salmon we've had with a scrumptious cheese cake to follow and lovely white wine too. Waiter had a good sense of humour and kept us entertained on a quiet night and said "don't forget us on Tripadvisor" so here it is! Quickly cooked and delivered to our table with genuine warmth and a smile. Better than our first visit last summer but we don't like to make a fuss as it seemed full of holiday makers and a little short on waiting staff we hope you enjoyed your after work pint Johnny, Dean and Jenny x

Stumbled across this gem whilst looking for somewhere to get a breakfast pre-9am which was difficult in Cardigan. This is a modern building embedded into the old castle site. Nice views of the tidal river from the panoramic windows. The cooked breakfast was a knockout and was served by a very friendly and welcoming young lady. Great breakfast , great service, smart surroundings. I will be back.

Oh my god they cook the nicest of food. As it was my 60th I wanted to go somewhere that had a lovely menu & Foyles did not disappoint. The food was so nice I have booked to go again next week!! Staff were pleasant and attentive which makes a difference. Had a lovely table in an area where you can take dogs & don’t feel segregated because of the dog. Thank you so much.

Best panini I've ever had , chicken and sweet chilli. Accompanied by a fresh vibrant side salad. Clean premises and friendly staff

Mary and her team made the whole evening so enjoyable and relaxed. Mary made the organising of an 18th birthday simple, as her flexible, helpful approach meant that details were easy to finalise. We would definitely recommend this as party venue for anyone looking for a night to remember. Thank you Mary and The Globe! A night that Manu will never forget. Jerome and Abi Corre.

Been a few times and it gets better each time! Love the new layout. Food is excellent with a good range to choose from. Service is great and the staff are friendly. Would highly recommend.

A nice night out with friends to watch a guy singing and playing guitar.

Just had a lovely light lunch, quiche with salad and delicious pickled radish and gherkins. Way off the main road but obviously popular
