The best restaurants in Wales

We popped in here last week, a friendly little place and a lovely pint of beer (oracle since you asked) will definitely call in again when we visit the area,

Lovely family atmosphere. Cafe pretty and clean. Service excellent and food perfect. Very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch with my Mum after a recommendation from my former Post Lady. Unfortunately she wasn't working when we visited, but what a lovely friendly pub, menu was extensive, varied and exceptional value for money. Food was hot, well presented and quality. Most importantly Mum enjoyed it, so we will definitely be returning.

The Wilton is exceptional. We had a room on the front overlooking the Pier, the room was comfortable and clean with complementary refreshments and good free WiFi. Ideal location for buses and the town. Good Breakfast selection and excellent food quality. The owners Jo and Paul are extremely helpful and friendly. We'll definitely stay again. Thankyou

Normally get a good meal from here but tonight ordered 2 burgers at £12.24p each, says on the app with chips, no chips came with it, phoned them saying wasn't on the receipt but said with chips, that's why I ordered and they categorically wouldn't deliver my chips, beware when ordering online as they may miss things out , no apology was given to me, put phone down as waste of time.

Supposedly rated good but I visited after getting off the ferry and found the food poor and of cheap quality. Staff are friendly shame about the food.

Always the best breakfast in Newbridge.

Once again, this place has hit the mark. It's been a while since our last visit, and the quality of his fish is second to none. 5 star every day. I will highly recommend this brilliant chippy.

We were travelling to Barry so decided to find somewhere to have a snack after crossing the bridge into Wales and plumped for Magor. We came across Donnies in the market place and was blown away by the friendliness, quality of what was on offer and the price. We'll definitely go back.

I have to assume that Hennighan's is so good they had to open a second shop to keep up with the demand. I drive an hour each way once a month for this. If I lived nearer then I'd be far fatter than I am.

Excellent food and great service in a very welcoming and cheerful atmosphere. Burgers were delicious and home-made goats cheese bites were the perfect starter. Highly recommended!

Very cheap, great food, and central location.

11 of us including a 3 yr old had a lovely evening in this restaurant aka Spice Ambassador in Taffs Well. The owner and his staff were really helpful and attentive start to finish, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Food? Well, every choice served to us all was delicious, unique in many cases. Personally, my lamb dish was probably the best lamb presentation I've tasted in an Indian restaurant. Helpings were nicely generous but not too daunting or wasteful, arriving all hot and at the same time, notable considering we were a large group in a busy restaurant. Many thanks to staff for a lovely time- we'll definitely be back.
