No recomendaría.

Loved the wee hob hut and glad we opted for this rather than camping in October. There were a couple of misunderstandings re booking regarding number of dogs/additional cost but the site was very accommodating which was appreciated. The warden we met on site was super friendly as was his wife in the cafe and the person we spoke to on the phone confirming our booking the day before. Great bacon rolls and coffee served with a smile and a chat at the Cruachan cafe. The showers and toilets were cleaned regularly and the accomodation was clean and had everything needed for a brief stay. The showers were a bit dated and really not big enough to be able to get undressed/dressed and keep everything dry and off the floor or condensated walls. Shower nice and hot though. Bigger space with a seat would be great 😀. Maybe also a couple of hanging hooks in the hob? We were a bit lost where to put wet coats.

Myself and my family, along with some family friends visiting us were recently in Argos. My family and I, I am sad to say, try to avoid this shop at all costs as a consequence of mistreatment by staff (many, not all. Some are lovely but unfortunately they are overshadowed and, in time, are corrupted by the negative, toxic work-place culture at Argos). Firstly, I echo a sentiment felt across Orkney. The staff are incredibly rude, unhelpful and lack any awareness or simple understanding disabilities. Unless you are ‘one of them’, whatever that means these days in Orkney. Numerous visitors to the island have fed back this information. My own experience has been predominantly been incredibly negative, despite my efforts to be patient (you have to be) and friendly. I am afraid that ARGOS management team are stuck in the 80s. Totally inadequate and have failed to provide essential lifeline in a small town. If you’re not from here, the present culture in the shop is at best sub-standard, and at worst it is toxic. Sensitive information such as where I send letters and communications to how much I spend on certain items have been made public knowledge in the community in the short time I was there. Let’s hop the feedback is heard. PS. Every single other shop and service we use in Orkney is fantastic with locals and, as Argos would say, with ‘ferry loupers’ alike.

Was lovely to find a restaurant that caters for gluten free food. It is in a lovely big centre, which was full of locals (always a good sign). With good views out of the windows. The Mermaid statue is on the beach near here. I enjoyed a gluten free bacon sandwich. A section of their menu is marked as gluten free, have attached a photo. Staff were very welcoming.

The freshly baked muffins are huge and utterly delicious. They also have a wide range of syrups for flavoured coffees as well as other hot and cold drinks. There’s a god selection of sandwiches, wraps, panini, etc as well as a few other cakes. The service is good, though it can get very busy - a testament to how good it is.

Came here for the first time tonight as we are at the waterfront lodges at the holly tree hotel. Read the reviews and as it’s only a 20 mins drive away decided to order. Great menu choice on their facebook. Lovely lady took my call to order, really friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and piping hot. Very large portions, great value for money.

Popped in here for lunch with my wife and her mother. On entering, we were greeted by a smiling Amy, who welcomed us in. I proceeded to order the soup and egg mayonnaise toastie, with a Mocha and white chocolate caramel slice. All were fantastically tasty, especially the soup, which was very thick pea and ham, and piping hot, 11 out of 10😋My mother in law opted for a Latte, which she thoroughly enjoyed. My wife had tea, which was made with leaves, and a chocolate slice, which she enjoyed immensely. She also had a latte, which she also enjoyed. I had another mocha. The premises were welcoming, spotlessly clean, prices were unbelievably cheap. I can also honestly say that the service and banter from Amy, and Megan, Niece and Auntie, was tremendous. I would thoroughly recommend this place, and will be back in the near future.

As it is named, the firepit, you expect some decent Meat from a bbq to be served. No steaks, but a good burger can solve the problem, so their best "the smoke and soul", Meat served on a soft role, clearly not from a bbq fire , not a piece of salad , onion or tomaten, but i must admit crispy Fries. As that is their best seller, then the expectations of clients are low. Next time it is back to the old Brown pub with the traditional pub meals.

Excellent food, friendly staff and cold beer. What else do we need? We had a really nice evening out and always look forward to coming back.

This is a fairly no frills restaurant, but clean and comfortable with good service. Not licenced but no corkage either, and there's an off-sales just 30-second walk away. Best of all is the food. Great flavours, good ingredients and well cooked. One of Perthshire's very best places for Indian subcontinent fare (Bangladeshi actually).

What a fantastic venue for a wedding. Lovely welcome and piped in on arrival. Good bar staff, good waiting on staff. Great food, really great food! The DJ played a vast selection of music. Really good fun. Rooms were clean and tidy. Everything spot on apart from the breakfast. I put my request in just after checking in. It was supposed to be delivered at 09.30. I never recieved it. Apart from that I'd recommend The Three Kings .

I call it Debbie's place - you'll know it when you see it! - said several of the locals on Islay. A large group of us visiting the island had spent the morning dotted across it doing various different activities. I'd asked in the brilliant Islay Natural History Trust where locally we could grab lunch and was directed to the Bruichladdich Mini Market. The place itself is run by Debbie, her mum and her sister. It's the ort of place that is the lifeblood of islands the world over - half grocery shop, half cafe - all welcoming. Debbie's sister was in charge when a group of 15 of us rocked up unannounced. This would normally not have been a problem - plenty of outside seating - but that particular day the ferry had been cancelled, along with much of the stock for the shop and cafe. Undeterred the staff there made us feel welcome and pulled together a lunch which went down very well with all - children and adults alike. Think sandwiches and toasties with great coffee and a good choice of cold drinks. They also serve some amazing cakes - I'm told the rocky road was fab, I know the chocolate cake was! Although initially under pressure when we all turned up, the staff seated us happily and we had all eaten within about 15 minutes of arriving.
