Regular lunch/coffee stop when we’re in the area. Great food, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Good community hub and the gift shop is stocked with nice items too.

Was lovely to find a restaurant that caters for gluten free food. It is in a lovely big centre, which was full of locals (always a good sign). With good views out of the windows. The Mermaid statue is on the beach near here. I enjoyed a gluten free bacon sandwich. A section of their menu is marked as gluten free, have attached a photo. Staff were very welcoming.

What a superb service offered by the community of Balintore, overnight parking, showers, toilets, laundry and more, all for a donation. Of course if the weather is good you’ve got fantastic views across the ocean. The area is well kept, great local pub & restaurant, friendly locals too. I really hope visitors respect this wonderful service and everyone who uses it leaves a donation.

Although we didn’t eat in the cafe we were very grateful to find a stop as part of the Highland Comfort Scheme! To the right of the cafe there is a small comfort stop with a toilet, shower, washer and dryer. The stop runs off the respect of the customers and allows use of the facilities for a very small price. An excellent find on our NC500 trip!

Staying in Balintore for a few days we decided to go for lunch after a walk to the Fyrish Monument. We were given a friendly greeting and had a delicious lunch followed by cake and the best coffee I have had locally. Very reasonably priced and would highly recommend.

As part of our outreach to our communities, the Rotary Club of Tain and Easter Ross held our first lunchtime meeting at the Seaboard Café on 25th April. We had a wide choice of lovely food to eat from snacks to full main courses. The atmosphere was great with families and visitors elsewhere in the café and we really enjoyed our first visit there, so much so we go back this Thursday.

We arrived at the Cafe wet and cold on Wednesday. We were quite a big group of soggy cyclists who were being joined by friends including one in a wheelchair. Although we destroyed the seating arrangements we were immediately made to feel very welcome and were incredibly well looked after. Coffees, teas, bacon rolls and cakes were all marvellous and extremely welcome given the terrible conditions outside. This cafe is highly recommended.

First visit to the cafe nit knowing what to exist, a light roomy cafe with choice of tables from two to large groups obviously popular as several tables reserved. A menu offering a varied choice if soup, sandwiches, paninnis, baked potatoes and main meals. The tomato soup was delicious think and filling, the toasted sandwiches came with crisis and salad. Choice if coffees, teas, and juices. Very friendly and efficient staff, easy parking and with views looking out over the sea what more could you ask for.

Sitting in the Seaboard Cafe sipping at my coffee and enjoying a very generous homemade scone with blackcurrant jam with lovely company was just a real joy. We reminisced of times spent in the Seaboard as youth and how this whole peninsula has so much to offer the tourist, little gems to discover such as the Pictish Stones, Tabat Discovery Centre and so much more - the Cafe was just the ticket their food is really good quality food and the staff are so helpful.

Called in yesterday (Saturday) for a snack to eat in the car while waiting for time to go to our accommodation. I had the minestrone soup which was so thick with vegetables you could stand a spoon up in it, this came with a warm whole meal roll both were very tasty and excellent value for money. My husband had a cheese and ham sandwich which came with side salad garnish this was so large he had trouble finishing it. All in all very tasty, good value, friendly staff and will be back again and again

Vacations can get very expensive so we were thrilled to find some good but inexpensive restaurants in Scotland. The Seaboard Cafe is one of those "great find" places that offer simple food, that tastes great, at a reasonable price. We were sightseeing around the coast near Portmahomack when we passed this cafe. We were with friends from the area who had never eaten there before. It was a cool but pleasant day so we chose to eat outside. The service was friendly and food was simple but very good. It as nice to be able to enjoy a leisurely lunch by the sea.

Afternoon soup and sandwiches function on this occasion, but the venue is one that we've used in the past for a successful wedding reception. A very popular location much used by both locals and visitors, and the fact that the locals use it so extensively tells its own very positive story. Soup was delicious and sandwiches and cakes excellent. Service was excellent. Excellent car park directly opposite -- absolutely no problem with parking. Highly recommended.

Visiting my folks today and came here for dinner. They have been before but I haven’t. Great restaurant. Dog friendly is a big bonus. Menu is very good with something for everyone. Cauliflower pakora, katsu curry and lemon posset. All very tasty. Really good service too by polite young serving staff. The Classroom has a bright open and airy atmosphere. Wide range of ages in this busy friendly very central restaurant. Highly recommend this eatery.

Don't let the outside put you off, this is a lovely wee cafe, theres only a couple of small tables inside but sitting out side looking across the loch to the mountains is the way to go. We had tea and coffee and the carrot cake. Now I know we're not the first to comment on the carrot cake but honestly, it was among the best we've ever had. The cafe also have a good selection of gifts, my partner got two necklaces so it must be good😂. The 2 ladies serving were very friendly and cheerfull so yes we would recomend it.

We know the Tongue area very well, and like to eat locally, so it was obvious we would decide to eat at the Craggan, and i'm happy we did! The restaurant area is welcoming and clean, staff friendly, and the car park was easy even with a big van. The only problem was choosing from the menu! So many tasty things - i wish we had more time to visit again.. All three of us enjoyed our food, and we shared everything so i know it was all delicious. Thank you for making a rather wet evening so special..
