The best restaurants in South West Scotland

Ordered a chicken curry with fried rice (mine) and chicken chow mein this evening and honestly the best I think I've ever had. Perfect;y cooked and sliced chicken breast that was so soft it just feel part, cooked to perfection. Girl on the phone was so nice and the food came quickly. We do this as an occasional treat and it was well worth it. Can't wait to order again! Thanks

After reading excellent reviews of this place we decided to try it for coffee and cake on the Saturday which were excellent so we booked for Sunday lunch. We both had an excellent cream of mushroom soup accompanied by a lovely roll. My wife had a superb macaroni cheese with hand cut chips and salad. I had a great lasagne and garlic bread. Excellent staff and the sea view whilst having lunch was great. Definitely a worthy of a return visit.

Coffee machine broken at home so went for some takeaway coffees. My cappuccino was like extremely diluted hot chocolate-all I could taste was chocolate dusting on some hot water and the espressos were worse than Nescafé. Couldn’t drink them. The flies were swarming around the uncovered cakes so I decided to stick to the diet.

10/10 best Chinese I’ve had in a while ,food pipen hot and full of flavour

Visited with friends for lunch. I had tuna mayonnaise sandwich, scone and jam along with a pot of tea. Friends had baked potato and soup. All was fresh and absolutely delicious. We will most definitely be back soon. Lovely cafe xx

Very nice lady . We had a lentil soup very conforting scotish pies and a millionaire shortbreads with a coffee...all fresh and good. just what we needed to get back hiking.

This is a terrific place to eat. I have been many times with friends and family and the food is always of a high standard and delicious as is the presentation.It is a lovely bright inviting place and the staff are so friendly and cheery.Cakes are delicious too.Top class a must to visit!

My friend and I went for afternoon tea yesterday the staff were lovely but not afternoon tea we expected and had in past must say it was lovely Quality

Don't even bother food cold food wrong and bad stomach shocked worst take away I have ever had

Go there often the high tea is great value ,the staff are all very pleasant,the manager is very professional,the come round to make sure everything is ok . Hilly recommend the restaurant

Good Service, good food, pleasant atmosphere, very reasonably priced and quick service , we had Paninis and Baked Potatoes, Coffee was lovely.
