Coffee machine broken at home so went for some takeaway coffees. My cappuccino was like extremely diluted hot chocolate-all I could taste was chocolate dusting on some hot water and the espressos were worse than Nescafé. Couldn’t drink them. The flies were swarming around the uncovered cakes so I decided to stick to the diet.

Arrived for a wee late lunch last week and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious. Every mouthful was a wee treat. The cakes and scones are perfection. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Coffee is the best I’ve had in a while. A great wee find 😊

This place has been here for a long time and it always seems to have a steady flow of custom so we thought we would try it for lunch. My Greek salad was dreadful,it was shredded iceberg, red onion, black olives(the worst sort just out of a brine filled jar) and a crumbling of feta.no dressing either.that isn't a Greek salad.it was supposed to come with crusty bread according to the menu but was served with a slice of brown thin sandwich bread, when I asked about the crusty bread was told they have never done crusty bread, well it's on the blooming menu!I said the bread served didn't go with the food but shoulders were just shrugged and that was that.My mocha was dreadful, weak, watery and didn't have that lovely rich mocha flavour,in fact if it was just an ordinary coffee it was a pretty awful coffee,I left most of it,not impressive for somewhere that calls itself a coffee house.First visit and last.

Excellent little coffee shop/cafe in the centre of Kilmarnock. Staff so helpful and friendly and the coffee was spot on! The menu looked really appetising although we were just in for a coffee with our baby girl. There are homemade cakes on display which looked equally as good as the menu itself and we will definitely be back for another visit. Terrific place.

It’s easy to see why it’s rated highly. The food is nice & everything is clean. We had a coffee and a breakfast each, it was more expensive than other places but I’d go back. They have nice touches that are homely.

I get lunch here almost every day. Great atmosphere, great staff and some if the best home baking that you could hope for. The scones are scrumptious, the cheesecake is to die for and just looking at the meringues is a treat!

We often visit Mamita's for a bite of lunch on a Saturday afternoon if we are in the town. Our favourites would have to be between the homemade sausage rolls, coronation chicken sandwich and the chicken ceasar salad. They always have lovely cakes, couldn't really pick a favourite as they are all so nice. The staff are really friendly and provide a great service.

Love this place- never disappointed whenever I go in. It has a great atmosphere and is very cosy. Serves the best coffee- unlike the big chains who scald their milk so the coffee tastes burnt. Great for a breakfast or lunch- everything appears to be freshly made in the shop. The cakes are always spot on and I can never say no!!! Also great that they sell a selection of chutneys, jams, balsamics etc- great to find something different.

I must say the coffee is excellent but the food does not come up to the same standard. I had scrambled egg and was surprised when it was served with brown bread from a supermarket loaf. Would have expected chunky hand cut bread and scrambled egg microwaved. Scones are overly sweet

Delicious starters followed by pink roast beef. Speedy staff. I think an open log fire would add to the ambiance, especially with cold weather coming up. Every country pub should have one!

The steak pie was delicious and a very generous portion. I should have got a certificate for finishing off the Eton Mess - wow, just about finished me off! Huge. The roaring fire and a lovely black Labrador were both what a great pub should have. Will be back.

Came here for a quick bite after doing some of the Burns Trail in Mauchline. With the social distancing in place, there's no sit in and the cafe only serve food from the front door. The menu is very much traditional British foods, so you'll not go wrong if that's what you're after. Even though the staff were only serving through the front door, they're still friendly and welcoming.I got myself a Jaffa Cake and a Latte. The former did indeed taste like a Jaffa Cake (biscuit), although it was a bit too sweet. The latte was decent. Not sure about all the 5 star ratings, but it was decent food and I give it an extra star because the prices here are very keen.

We visited The princes Cafe & Coffee Shop again today, five of us. I had the famed all day breakfast, friends had Chicken Tempura, Spicy Macaroni with chips. Everything was excellent, service & food. Cost us £44.00 for FIVE of us. Will be back next week for sure.
