What a lovely idea to have a cafe in one of the e used transepts. Nice menu. Interesting surroundings, thoughtful provision of a play space for small children. But a problem with the till meant we waited over twenty minutes for tea for four which came as tea for two and even longer for lunchtime snacks, which included a cold sausage roll which should've been hot and only one portion of soup instead of two. It's probably much better normally but we almost had to go and re park the car!

Utterly horrible. The place is understaffed; they had someone ensuring queues were proper one day, the next, no-one. Sick of the fact they allow other kids to skip like vultures or people who’ve starved themselves for a month and still serve them. At one point, it took me 30 minutes to get served when I was halfway in the line, where I originally. If you can’t even operate something as little as a cafe efficiently, don’t even bother operating it at all. Go to Agnews or (can’t believe I am recommending them) Grade-A.

This place has just been rebranded with a new chef etc but as I never tried it before I cant comment on the difference. The food we ordered was nothing special and I've definitely had better pizzas. It was cold when we collected it, it wasnt worth the money and we won't be returning.

Gave it chance after chance . Yet again a Missing item on delivery and Wrong item. Had corn in it and no sauce? Phoned to complain and he was very dismissive and said sauce and item would be with me in 10 mins. Never arrived. How can a sub with no sauce be soggy?

Over 30 mins to be served. Only 4 people ahead of me! The restaurant was completely empty. Everyone had to repeat their order about 3 or 4 times as the staff weren’t listening at all. I found it extremely rude that the kept conversations in another language. Just don’t go here. Whoever the franchise partner is for this subway needs to retrain or get new staff. Having to interrupt their jovial conversation just to ask to pay was ridiculous.

Totally disappointed. I was served undercooked/raw chicken. Called Lucky Leo to advise. They said they could not hear me and then disconnected my call. I called back and they said they only use cooked chicken. No apology no refund from just eat. I was offered a replacement meal but I did not want more of the same so declined. Awful service all round.

We popped on for lunch for the first time in a while, the service was good albeit quite slow as it was a Saturday afternoon and it was busy, but the food was alright, good sized portions, its just what you would expect from a supermarket cafe, nothing fancy.

This is a little hidden gem! It's has great atmosphere, there's an outdoor area overlooking the river. It has a large games room!! With pool tables, a shuffle board, air hockey to name but a few, perfect for older kids who are to old for the soft play stage! My kids would have spent all night there playing! The food.. All cooked from fresh, none of your pre made stuff here, so it does take a wee bit longer, which is a fair trade off in my opinion. Generous portion sizes, definitely value for money. If you have any dietary requirements or picky eaters the chef is more than happy to help you. The staff are lovely, great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back. Another bonus is parking! You won't have to look far, it has it's own parking to the rear, but also a large car park to the front.
