What a lovely idea to have a cafe in one of the e used transepts. Nice menu. Interesting surroundings, thoughtful provision of a play space for small children. But a problem with the till meant we waited over twenty minutes for tea for four which came as tea for two and even longer for lunchtime snacks, which included a cold sausage roll which should've been hot and only one portion of soup instead of two. It's probably much better normally but we almost had to go and re park the car!

Gallowgate StreetThe Paddle Steamer on a warm sunny Saturday was full of day trippers. The atmosphere was noisy as customers raised their voices in a chain reaction in order to be heard. Staff kept tables clean and waiting time at the bar 🍸 to a minimum. Too noisy and busy for me.
