This cracking wee back-bone of a pub in the heart of Irvine, is one of the last traditional pubs still in the centre of town. Very well known for being a ‘Rangers Pub’, but it’s full of smashing folks, who like all sorts a teams. I’m a Partick man myself, I know a couple of Killie boys that visit for a tasty beverage. Pretty sure even the occasional Celtic fan ventures in for the banter. Smashing pint of Guinness in there. Good prices, and good banter. It’s a solid 4, and would be a 4 and a half, but I can’t add a half star 😆 Cheers all, Doc the Jock 🏴

Called in for a pint on Saturday morning nice little bar if a little rough round the edges but I don't mind that. What I do like a lot is that the pint prices are incredibly cheap for this day and age. A local crowd and quite busy for a Saturday morning. Very pleasant and chatty bar lady. I would certainly return if I'm in irvine again.

My first visit as I was put off initially by the outside look (an old English betting establishment), but after a year and three quarters of passing it, I ventured into the place. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was oldie world inside (but does have TV, internet and a juke box). No meals taken, had Guinness on visit and was surprised it was open from 07:00 each day, closing around eight to eight-thirty. Worth another visit.

I went in asked the lady serving behind the bar, if it was okay to use their toilet, she seemed fine with it and said go through turn to the right. When I went out this lady was came out shouting after me " customers only", I shouted back "I did ask" , she didn't look if she was staff as I didn't see her behind the bar and was just a customer. If the toilets were just for customer use only. why didn't they say that the beginning and there was no notice on the door stating this. I didn't get a good impression that this was a nice friendly pub when I entered it was mostly much of an old man's pub.

Lovely homely pub as long as you don't mind a bit of adult themed banter. 😀

I’m on holiday with family members thought we would go to costa for a little brunch ordered our food and drinks everything was fine up until the point members of staff were taking turns holding a child behind the counter where they serve customers this is absolutely disgraceful and a matter of health and safety because the staff after holding the child then began serving people no hand washing or anything the child was running about while members of staff came out with hot drinks and nearly fell over the child won’t be back. Photo of member of staff holding child.

Been a while since we have been in But went in today Really let down Coffee lukewarm and rolls really cheap and nasty with no butter on them just dry and tasteless. £9.50 is also far too dear for what we got. Went into Greggs and got a hot coffee from them Would definately not go there again Used to be great but has gone downhill since last time we were there
