A very scrumptious cream tea rounded off a very pleasant walk to the Abbey. the COVID safe protocols were very well worked out / organised. Food & Drink ordered at the window and delivered to your well spaced table. Well done all for making us feel safe & comfortable.

After failed attempts at a couple of other places as we made our way home we had almost given up on lunch (fully booked at The Tipsy Cow, Airdrie and a power cut at The Silver Birch Café at Crossford). Thankfully Langloch Farm was open and despite being busy we got a parking space and a table. This time around, no doubt wary of a chilling wind, the main door had been closed to prevent a through-draught and customers were being directed to the “dog entrance“! We came in through the patio doors and noticed that plenty of dogs had found their way in too. I think we were in a minority of customers who didn’t have their pet with them. If you’re not keen on sharing your eating space with animals, probably better to think twice about visiting on days like this however the dogs were all well behaved thankfully. There is a decent selection of soups, sandwiches, etc and we kept it simple by having a couple of Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Paninis (£7.95 each). These were very good - crispy bacon, melted brie and plenty of cranberries together with some very tasty salad and coleslaw. The cake display is large and for dessert my wife had a piece of Passion fruit & Coconut Cake whilst I had a slice of Lemon & Lime Sponge. They were both good however the Passion fruit & Coconut was particularly nice. We had a couple of large Americano coffees, a regular one and a tea along with our lunch which brought the bill to £36 for two which we thought was reasonable value for money. There is a small play area and a short walking trail on the site but neither were being used due to the weather conditions at the time of our visit. Nice place between Lanark town and the Hyndford Bridge if you’re passing through.

Was really disappointed with food..was brick hard neck of lamb and a couple of bits of fatty shoulder of lamb. Definitely was last night's left overs.. don't use cheap cuts of lamb explain what you are serving to customers. The sauce wasn't a korma no cream just full of sugar.. Pauline Frame I agree it's just a general red batch sauce thats tweaked added to any order..dine in restaurant reviews are pretty decent folk seem spoiled when they sit in. I also got the starter with small lamb shish which was lovely and soft..chicken tikka dry. Burnt bhaajis.. Takeaway customers are important as well

After a long week of travelling it was a pleasure to be greeted by the staff as we entered the Crown and took a seat by the fire as Grace and Anna immediately brought us our usual drinks, made a fuss of our dog and chatted with us before serving us the usual excellent food we have come to expect. It is so refreshing to be served by people who clearly enjoy their jobs and value your custom, highly recommended this place.

My hubby and I stayed here for one night. The room was really big, with a king-sized bed, especially as this was supposed to be a standard double room. The view from our room was spectacular and really relaxing. It was lovely being able to lie in bed listening to the water of the River Clyde. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very good and service excellent. We found the breakfast to be the opposite, however, which was a disappointment. The food had already been cooked and the sausage was overcooked and was inedible. It was also cold. We did express our disappointment to the waitress but was only offered another breakfast. When my hubby questioned that if a new breakfast was going to come from the kitchen again already prepared and cooked then there would be no improvement. An apology was given and taken off the price of the bill. We had the use of the leisure facilities in the hotel and pre booked a treatment each. This experience was fabulous. Our therapist called Vicki was incredible. She was understanding of both our needs and gave us our treatments accordingly. Inparticular I have never had a facial quite like this one. It was remarkable, relaxing and helpful in giving hints on how to relax more at home. Thank you very much.

Food a bit disappointing for the price paid. Soup was flavoured dish water, bread stale and price paid the quality is shocking. Fish and chips quality was better but battered fish was swimming in grease. This is normally our go to restaurant for a special night out but quality has dipped and will be rethinking where we dine out in Lanark in future. This is our 2nd meal here since January 2024 and the 1st meal was also disappointing - chilli served as a garnish on top of main meal when this is not on the menu description of food chosen!!!

Ordered online was late by an hour but then the delivery driver never turned up she abandoned the delivery without even contacting me to let me know, and when I called to enquire about my order I was told she was too busy and had abandoned my delivery. Had to apply to just eat for a refund
