Always love this place. Great food, service. A great early mother's day treat. All the family loved it too. All food was delicious, chicken noodle soup, ribs, satay, prawn toast. Chicken curry, chicken fried rice, salt and pepper chips, can't fault anything. Always ready to collect on time for a takeaway with friendly staff.

Just available for carry out or delivery. But the food is delicious, well priced, good service.

We had allergies which were stated upon ordering, despite this 1 dish contained the allergen & one dish was completely wrong. Called them, offered 15% discount next time, no apology from the manager or offer to correct the mistake or refund the dishes 👎🏽

The staff are treated poorly, shouted at in front of customers for simple mistakes and things out of their control, whilst the staff who are pocketing money get promotions. They get swore at most shifts when things are out of their control and even when it’s a mistake on behalf of the kitchen. Inappropriate comments are made regarding the staff multiple times a shift. The staff are made to deal with any complaints or abuse from customers and the manager will never step in to help or ease the situation leaving it all to the staff and taking no responsibility but gets annoyed if the staff do not handle it how he wanted it to be handled without actually telling you the correct way.

We tried this Chinese restaurant one evening. Takeaways seemed to be their main business, the restaurant was nearly empty. The food was good, but not great. There was no real atmosphere, and the restaurant also had boxes etc piled up in one corner a little untidy.

1st time visiting the restaurant when visiting family in Lanark and wasn’t disappointed! The food was excellent, very tasty and good portion sizes. The chicken satay was amazing. Staff also great. Would highly recommend.

First time sitting in but had a few deliveries from here.The place is spotlessly clean and the staff were great The food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it tbhI had salt and pepper wings to start with and the portion was very big And I had the honey crispy beef with a beautiful fried rice which I couldn’t finish (only due to the size)Will definitely be back to sit in as it was a great experience rather than my usual delivery

Best Chinese takeaway (and restaurant) in Lanark! Just a little bit expensive compare with others but food come with good portion full of ingredients and not flooded with just sauce. Tasty, worth the price!

Ordered a LOT of Chinese food to celebrate my birthday last weekend. The guy on the end of the phone was polite and helpful, the food arrived on time, it was well wrapped and hot and fresh. Very tasty and large portions too. Am going to use The Plum Orchard again as they are the best Chinese around here. Would recommend.

Although the food was tasty enough, having to wait for an hour for it to be delivered was unacceptable, won't be ordering from there again.

waited a while for the starter which was fair enough as they said it would be because we ordered dumplings, then spent nearly 45 mins sitting about waiting for our main before the girl came and asked if we were dine with starters! kids were grumpy everyone was starving not even like it was that busy, clearly just prioritising the takeaway orders, tandoori on the way home, no chance well go back, shame because the starter was nice.

I've only ever taken away from here but every time we've done so we've had a good meal. Fast service and tasty food, what more can you ask for.

So glad we did. The outside is very different t to what you find on the inside. It looks a little insignificant from the street, but walking inside into the restaurant I was very surprised. The decor is lovely, everything looked clean and the staff were very well turned out. The young ladies that served us were very professional, polite and friendly. We ordered a soft drink and I opted for a cocktail, this presented the only negative of the evening, a plastic straw. I’d really like it if an alternative could be used or no straw at all. The soft drink came with a paper straw . Prawn crackers were put on the table and they were very nice, fresh, and a nice little start.We ordered a duck dish and a chicken dish with fried rice, both were DELICIOUS. surprisingly we had to ask for chopsticks as it’s usually a need for some people to ask for cutlery. Think this has to be the best Chinese meal we’ve had. Will definitely return for another treat. Loved the fortune cookies presented when we paid. If it comes true it will be more than a once in a while treat! “Your financial hardship is coming to an end”Think it’s the only time I’ve had a Chinese meal and not felt really thirsty all night and a bit groggy in the morning. Sign of good food.

Dined here with 4 adults and 4 kids, and had a great meal and the staff were very good with the kids.Opted for the pre theatre menu, and at £12.80 for starter and a main, was great value.Food was lovely, and portion sizes were good. I thoroughly enjoyed my hot and sour soup, and the salt and pepper chicken with noodles were amazing.first time ive been here since it changed from China Bleu, and wont be the last. Well done on a lovely dining experience!

Had a birthday dinner here in January with family. We all had a great time and the food and service were exelent.

Always come here for takeout but tonight I’m very disappointed. Chicken Curry was like soup and chow mien was like sweet and sour. The ribs also where overlooked and the sauce was just dollops. Only decent thing was prawn crackers. Really disappointed

Decor in this restaurant was povely. Food was nice enough, we went soup, ribs and satays for mains. All on lunch pre-theatre. Only downside was the atmosphere. Lacked a little but hey, if its the food you want and nothing else then this is the place

First visit for six of us but certainly not our last. The food was absolutely delicious, the portion size was big, came out very satisfied indeed. Will be taking our children there most definitely as they love chinese. Saying that, they thai also, i had king prawn red thai curry - delish

Went for dinner with my friend, had pre theatre menu two courses for around £12. Plenty choice for both starters and main courses. Definitely be back soon 😀

We'd heard good things so decided to give it a go. I nearly had a heart attach when I saw the prices in the window. Turns out they're for the restaurant, not takeaway. We ordered for dishes for a little over £25. Not the cheapest but by no means expensive. Especially given the quality of the food. The dishes were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I've eaten a lot of Chinese food and this is some of the best I've tasted. Service was fast and friendly and the food was fresh, hot and tasty. If you're in the area and want a good meal, I would definitely recommend this place.

Crispy beef in Szechuan sauce, salt and chili chicken, Singapore rice noodles and roast duck with rice noodles.As you can tell from the number of stars and the title, we both agreed that the food was excellent. Just the right level of spicy. Loads of flavour. Cooked to perfection with loads of fresh ingredients.If you're in the Lanark area and are looking for a decent takeaway then try them out. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

We decided to give plum orchard a try since it recently reopened.With a little trepidence we tried the early evening menu as other Chinese restaurants locally the menus are not up to scratch.The starters of salt and chilli chicken along with ribs in sauce was delightfully.We had kom po chicken and duck in plum sauce and they were extremely good.Other restaurants tend to use 're constituted chicken but not Plum Orchard.Staff could not be more helpful and nothing was to much bother.

Needed a lunch in Lanark and fancied Chinese food. Googled and this came up. Not much from the outside but don't be put off, once inside you will see it is tastefully decorated in an eastern design. Nice table and chairs and delightful blinds seperate eating areas. Lunch menu very reasonably priced at £8:50 for a two course for a supplement of a £1:00 you could have a dessert as well.Service very friendly, and quick. Good choice of starters and main courses different from the usual Chinese restaurant fare for a table d' hote lunch. Even includes king prawns and duck.Great flavours and food cooked fresh and really tasty. Will definitely visit again

Great food although it's a different name now ..

This Chinese restaurant/takeaway has recently changed its name from China Blue to Plum Orchard. The decor has also been transformed and you will dine in lovely surroundings. The mixed platter for 2 is fab and the sizzler dishes are mouthwatering. They also offer lunch/early dinner menu which is great value. The wine list is a cut above with some great choices. Service is with a smile and all the staff we dealt with were very pleasant. Look forward to returning.

Meal went to the wrong address then arrived 15 later - all the food was cold and tasteless the beef was chewy and chips were cold n soggy. Has to he the worst Chinese takeaway have had in a long time. Phoned to convey our disappointment with apology given by young member of staff but definitely won't be ordering again.
