Sizzling Wok in South Lanarkshire

Have been going to them for years without issue now what I order which is a special fried rice they've took the small prawns or shrimp from the meal, That was a big part of wy I enjoyed it. Phoned last night as asked for prawn to be put in with no luck and got shouted at when phoned to complain not to mention they say they've never had prwn in special fried rice is rubbish as I have had the same dish for years.

Best Chinese takeaway in East Kilbride.

I regularly drive a 45 mile round trip just to get food here. The food is always fast, fresh and amazingly tasty. I often find, with other chinese takeaways, that by the time you get it home or it is delivered that the food is soggy or cold but that is just not the case here. Everything is always pipping hot and still crsipy, 100% deserving of 5 stars!

One of the best in Chinese cuisine Professionally and expertly executed food delivered piping hot. It was a pleasure to deliver food for this restaurant once upon a time. One of the best in my many travels, give it a go and never look back. Perfect 10/10.

Ordered a prawn chow main . When it arrived it consisted of six prawns and a glupe of noodles covering in a gravy sauce that was it ...... dreadful

I just moved to EK and I was recommenced this place by a friend. The food was very hot and delicious!

I ordered from here on recommendation from my step daughter, I like old school barbeque sauce (the red one). It arrived really quickly and was piping hot. Singapore Chow Mein was delicious as was the barbeque sauce, rich and dark red. My partner had chicken fried rice and curry sauce, which he really enjoyed....and free prawn crackers...what more do you want. Happy customer

Worst food i have had in east kilbride... Bbq ribs with thick black gloopy sauce and a lot of grease floating around the container, it also didn't have much flavour and fatty ribs. Special fried rice ....very dry and meat was probably from yesterday and same black sauce as the ribs..... Curry sauce , thick, gloopy with grease floating on the top and poor taste. Overall waste of money, very poor food and service was poor no manners and also accused of not giving the correct payment and no apology when she discovered that i had.

this is the best chinese takeaway in EK. food is always hot and you dont have much waiting time for it. never had any compliants about it

The portions are huge, food is fab, never had a bad meal from here, and it’s really reasonably priced, plus their delivery time’s really fast. I love Sizzling Wok. Plus you can use card - I used to use Jasmine Inn in Whitehills but they insist on cash only, which is annoying especially when there’s no ATM nearby, but Sizzling Wok takes card, which means it’s now my favoured option. Jasmine portions seem to be getting smaller too. Sizzling Wok’s portions are huge - and their food’s always really fresh and they give you free prawn crackers with orders over £7, I think. Other places make it £15, or something silly like that.

Having recently received a new menu from Sizzling Wok & wondering if perhaps the takeaway had changed owners or had improved upon my last visit, I decided to give it another try. This time I ordered a breast of chicken curry (chopped), fried rice, an extra portion of curry sauce. I asked for both the breast of chicken curry & the extra curry sauce to be made spicy this time, having remembered it being tame & tasteless last time. I also ordered a plain omelette which came with a portion of chips. The cost was a very reasonable £14.30 & the order came with a free large bag of fresh prawn crackers (Not the couple of day old ones like Sizzling Wok used to give out free). Waited around 10 minutes inside the Sizzling Wok for my order. The takeaway restaurant itself was on the cold side as I sat & waited for my order but when my food arrived it was roasting hot & that's the main thing Got home & plated up my breast of chicken curry & fried rice. The chicken this time was plentiful & soft, my word, the hot curry sauce was very spicy & I used the prawn crackers for dipping, stopping for glasses of water to cool down the heat. The chips in a family members omelette were cooked perfectly & were for a Chinese takeaway, absolutely delicious. Apparently the omelette was lovely too but I personally didn't try any of that. Overall a vast improvement upon my last visit & based upon that, I'd say Sizzling Wok is well worth trying if you like your curry hot & spicy, but do remember to ask for the sauce to be made that way.

Reccommended by a friend so popped in for a take away on Saturday night. I had not phoned in advance and only waited a few minutes for my meals. My sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was excellent. My wife took chicken skewers which were really over cooked and chewy which was a pity. Overall pretty good.

Always good food and never tool long to wait for the food delivery the food is always hot and good portions the veg are crispy and not overcooked plenty of chicken in the dishes we ordered

Have reviewed before but shall do so having eaten from here more recently. Christmas Day 2016 & I'm looking for a Chinese Curry for my Christmas dinner. Around 8.30pm I try a few Chinese restaurants to phone an order for collection, three don't answer the phone or haven't bothered opening. I venture out in the car & go a drive around East Kilbride to see where is open. Most of the good/passable Chinese restaurants are closed & normally I would have went for a collection order from EK's finest, Marlboro in the Westwood but one of my family members finds their curry sauce far too spicy. Running out of options I phone Sizzling Wok for 2x Breast of Chicken Curries, 2x Fried Rice, Chips & Prawn Crackers & an extra portion of Curry Sauce. £18 for the order on Christmas night. Got it home & once plated up I was disappointed to see that in both curry dishes there was hardly any chicken. Despite ordering 2x Breast Of Chicken Curry I would estimate I received one Chicken Breast between the two or one & a half Chicken Breasts if I'm being generous. What Sizzling Wok were generous with was onions, loads of them to bulk out the dish rather than provide a fair portion of chicken in both. Curry sauce to be fair wasn't as bland as the last time I reviewed this establishment with a little kick of spice. Fried Rice & Prawn Crackers were fine but that's about all I can say. Kudos for remaining open on Christmas night but was it worth it? For the owners of Sizzling Wok of course. Me as a customer, no. I was thoroughly ripped off in the portion quantity.

Just a small chinese takeaway. Usual menu you would expect. Big portions, great tasting food. Doesn't take cards for payment, but that might change soon. Does do home deliveries.

Great little Chinese carry-out gaff! Do not be fooled by the no-frills exterior, take the plunge and order anything from the menu and you won't be disappointed, in fact you'll be bowled over at how good it is. Can't recommend this establishment enough

This take away does not look much from the outside and really is a no frills establishment BUT the food is delicious, well priced and the portions are good sized. No complaints.

This carry out restaurant has constantly supplied top quality Chinese take away meals for years, I have never had a bad meal from this establishment. It is not aesthetically pleasing to look at from the outside, however the food is first class.
