Great food great service. This is our ‘go to’ Chinese take away. Food always arrives piping hot and tastes great.

Delivery was good it came really quick. Chow mein was good but the curry sauce isn’t the best

Sweet and sour chicken was very disappointing fried rice was very dry no flavour whatsoever.it used to be a really good Chinese takeaway not now .

I went to this Chinese restaurant when I was 14 .. 45 years ago .. I still remember the people very well .. it was by far the best curry in the world .. one day I will try again ..

Bring back the old owners! Food Is terrible. They were supposed to continue with the old owners recipes etc, which were in place from 1976. Got a beef & tomato tonight, could bounce the beef off the wall, and you know that smell you get off beef when it first starts to cook, I think it's the smell of the blood cooking, that's what the beef smelled and tasted like, either that or the beef had turned. Been trying my best to give the new owners a chance...but it's honestly rotten. Live a 3 min walk from here, but will be going elsewhere.Dont order and expect the same as it was for years, nothing like the old Marlboro!

Ordered Breast of chicken curry. Has to be the worst curry I’ve ever had. Think the chef has ran out of curry powder. It was like eating chicken in a bisto gravy.

First time ordering from marlboro take away since it was reopened and not disappointed, meals were amazing, wasn't expected it to be like the original recipes but I think it's just the same as before. Would definitely recommend to others 👌

Been using this resturant since 1976, tonight I got chicken satay on the skewers, had it a couple of times since the takeover, but tonight the satay sauce was putrid

I ordered some chicken balls and a portion of salt and chilli chips. The chicken balls are smaller than other Chinese restaurants and that is what makes them the best I've tried. Tender chicken with a crisp batter but not to doughy like the larger chicken balls. The salt and chilli chips were great too , nice and crisp with plenty of flavour but not too spicy. I was very impressed and will definitely be ordering again

When it changed owners we were worried that it would never be the same. We shouldn't have worried. The food is still excellent, the service is still brilliant and the staff are extremely helpful. The Marlboro is still the same.

Used to be fantastic but the quality of the food had gone down dramatically. Sorry guys but you need to buy better quality products and get a better chef.

Just collected our dinner, everything mega salty, the beef is slimey and hardly any chicken in the battered chicken balls. Curry sauce salty and overpowering with spice...there are far better Chinese takeaways in EK..never again

Not quite as good as the old Marlboro chicken curry, fried rice. The chicken was a bit chewy and the curry sauce similar of old but not the same. Sorry.

Up staying at a local hotel and fancied some takeaway. Hard working place, busy and clearly a family business. Clean, warm welcome and good service. Food quickly prepared and a great price. Really good food, warm, fresh and very flavoursome. Really enjoyed.

The worst food I have ever eaten. Think it was cooked a week ago and reheated before they delivered it to me. Went in the bin a waist of money. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Will never go back again.

I believe that if a takeaway can withstand the test of time then it must be doing something right… oldest family run Chinese takeaway in East Kilbride, if I’m not mistaken… and there is just something authentic about this place that no other can produce, I would go as far as saying it’s the best takeaway in Scotland

First time using the Chinese food was piping hot, delivery driver was superb and really reasonably will definitely be back.

My first complaint is that they do not accept card payments. Ridiculous in this day and age. It won’t be a worry in future as I would not order from here again. The chicken curry was bland. Sauce watery, like something you would cook at home. Spiced chicken balls small and bland. I was charged £3.70 for a portion of salt and chilli chips which were reheats. They don’t even give complimentary crackers. Far better Chinese takeaways out there.

Chicken fried rice rubbish , chicken curry best bit was the fried rice , absolute waste of money. Use to love this place , definitely would not recommend won’t be back

Have used numerous times in the past 50 years without a problem, but recently in the past couple of months have received substandard food of poor quality. Chicken curry had lots of gristle, ( poor cuts ). My wife had king prawn curry. Prawns were soggy, suggesting frozen and had been lying for some time. Recent order of sweet and sour chicken was dire. Chicken balls were a lot smaller than I remember, (size of large marbles ) ,suggesting they’ve been sourced from Iceland or suchlike. Poor quality indeed. Won’t be back!

My family love the malboro the chicken curry is absolutely amazing so spicy! The perfect hangover cure. Have family all over the world who come home and crave a malboro. Brill x

Havent had a delivery for about a month as phone always rings out but is always piping hot when you do get a delivery and never have to wait too long either

The Marlboro have been serving Chinese food to the community for as long as I can remember... almost 40 years!! Nothing stays around that long just by chance.

Food was fine but I was expecting it to be better.

Really enjoy their barbecue spare ribs and the sweet and sour chicken. Staff very friendly

Beef has little weight. Duck meat feels terrible without proper handling. The only commendable thing is that the insulation is well done.

Sorry but I was disappointed with our take-away. I note this restaurant generally gets good reviews perhaps we were unlucky. Four of five mains were "average" the Singapore chow-mien was poor !!

Tried for the first time tonight and can’t say I will return purely because I love curry but I just couldn’t eat this because it was far to hot. Perfect for people who like really spicy food I just felt it killed my taste buds and mouth was on fire.

Well, this is my local but not used a lot, using another Chinese usually. Wow never again will I look beyond this Chinese. Got a chicken curry, very hot, sweet n sour chicken. It was amazing. All I can say is try it, you will never look back. 5 stars from me.

friend told me about this Chinese traveled from wishaw north Lanarkshire and the food was excellent 10/10 will be visiting again

Used to come here in the 80s when it was a restaurant and the food was always amazing.....only recently tried again and, if anything, the food is even better....usually get Chinese carry-out food from Glasgow (not an EK local now) but the curry sauce is worth the visit alone... absolutely cracking food

I parked at the rear of a sad, unkempt shopping square that the sat nav had brought me to as a result of a TripAdvisor recommendation. It was gloomy with many closed shop shutters. One of the few businesses in operation was the Marlborough Chinese takeaway. What a find! Friendly staff, great service.......and the food......fantastic! Never believe your first impressions - this top drawer Asian cuisine. No need to closely describe each dish - it really was that good!

Nunca pensé que vería el día cuando revisé Marlboro en nada menos que 5 estrellas, pero después de dos Sábados concurrentes, donde hay errores/problemas ha sido con mi pedido, ese día ha llegado.Sábado 9 de junio, yo voy a Marlboro y veo que hay una nueva chica que trabaja el contador. Me place mi orden habitual de pechuga de pollo al curry, arroz frito, galletas saladas grandes gambas, tortilla sencilla y una gran salsa de curry. Los dos hermanos pequeños que normalmente lo llevan, sé cuando digo grande salsa de curry para ponerla en un recipiente largo de aluminio.Cuando llegué a la casa de comidas, todo perfecto excepto la salsa curry extra larga en un tazón de sopa de poliestireno. Significaba que había salsa para chapuzón mi pan de gambas.La última noche, el sábado 16 de junio me llega hasta el Marlboro de nuevo. La misma mujer que está trabajando el contador. A mi conocimiento que es sólo la vieron por primera vez la semana anterior.Me place el mismo orden, esta vez el gran emphasing salsa curry es ir a la larga contenedor de aluminio. 15 libras. 30 nos dice. Me preguntan si es correcto, sí es correcto.Mi comida y caminar hasta el coche, decidí guardar la tremenda decepción de la semana pasada. Sí, lo habéis adivinado. Tres contenedores de aluminio cuando debería ser 4.Volver a la Marlboro voy a decir que he olvidado algo de mi orden. Comprobamos y diciendo lo que pedí, la nueva señora dice, "ah, nunca me cobraron por el curry salsa". Otra Señora dice bien si es en el largo contenedor de aluminio es de £4. 50. £4. Salsa curry sólo por 50. Pagué como quería disfrutar mi comida pero al llegar a casa el menú última conseguí de Marlboro dice que se puede conseguir una pechuga de pollo al curry y arroz frito por £6. 30 Así £4. 50 se siente como se dejó un buen cliente que es a veces dos veces a la semana.Errores de dos semanas en la última noche spin, para mi el orden habitual he pagado £19. 80. Ese es el más dinero para comida para llevar china con la misma orden que he pasado en East Kilbride.Decepcionados por Marlboro para últimas dos semanas, pero no en la calidad de la comida. Errores y justo en el Crazy. preciosVisto por mi anterior 5 * comentarios, me encanta el Marlboro y es curry salsa, pero anoche me ha visto a mí evaluar si que alguna vez regrese.

The Marlboro has stood the test of time and I have to say so has the food.Lots more Chinese restaurants have opened and shut but there food does not disappoint and I always have take away which never changes in quality .I have tried others and the first Chinese in EK the Pearl of Hongkong is long gone but the 2nd opened still going strong which tells a lot .

Used to be better, still has the old recipes but some of the most basic dishes aren't consistent - like egg fried rice!

My son got a takeaway, chicken chow mien and salt and chilli chicken bites. Arrived quickly and roasting hot would recommend. Very reasonable price

We have been eating carry-outs from the Marlboro for well over 20 years and find the staff to be very pleasant and the food to be top notch. Hard to beat the Marlboro curry. They always use fresh chicken, not frozen like some restaurants and the sauce flavour is out of this world. Would highly recommend.

My favorite Chinese in east kilbride. Curry sauce is the best and their chicken balls are amazing perfect bite size unlike other Chinese.

got takeaway from here tonight ,we got 3 chicken fried rice and 1 sweet and very sour vinagery chicken balls with rice the sauce for sweet and sour was so vinagery with no sweetness whatsoever was disgusting the chicken fried rice was average and the curry sauce sides was bland but spicy ,waste of money , avoid this place and go to the richmond in the kelvin next time,,will never be back

Just ordered dinner from here. Both meals were look warm, if that, chicken was very dry and the chips weren't even cooked properly! This used to be a brilliant restaurant but I'll not be back!

Last meal from here was horrendous but tonight's was back to it's delicious best. I decided to order the same as last time to see if they're was an improvement. I ordered bbq pork curry with fried rice and prawn crackers and a portion of Singapore style vermicelli. It was amazing, just as it used to be. With a unique curry sauce I've never tasted anything close to from anywhere else. Has a great taste and spice to it. Meat was nice and succulent this time and the noodles really spicy as well. Loved it. Still the best in EK.

The best Chinese food I've had from a takeaway anywhere. Really really tasty, fresh and not greasy. Top recommendation include salt and chill king prawns and crisply shredded beef with chilli and garlic sauce.

This is my favourite Chinese in East Kilbride and I order from here regularly but tonight's order was dreadful. Ordered Singapore style vermicelli, bbq pork curry with fried rice and prawn crackers and a bottle of coke. No prawn crackers but I was willing to overlook this as the food is usually delicious. The vermicelli was 3 quarters full if that and the bbq pork was as tough as leather. Some of it was inedible. I called them to discuss and the woman said she didn't write down prawn crackers and that's why I didn't get any. She did offer another curry of my choice but I didn't bother. Everybody has an off night so I'd order from them again but I was so disappointed tonight as this is my go to for a hangover munch. Will review again after next order to see if their game is back up to scratch

Started going when this was a restaurant and now it's a carry out its the only place we order carry outs from. Great food. Would defiantly recommend.

One of the best chinese takeaways that I've been to. I've been here a number of times when visiting family and their food is consistently excellent.

Every order is always perfect. They have a friendly quick service. Would highly recommend their salt and chilli chicken. Their prices are very reasonable and are the best takeaway for miles.

I recently ordered a takeaway from here after hearing some good reviews - the food was good but it is a little pricey, which I wouldn't mind if the portion sizes weren't so small. Delivery time was also quick enough considering it was dinner time at the weekend. Will definitely give it another try in future.

I recommend the salt and chilli chicken balls.. orders over 15 quid get free prawn crackers ... its a bombay curry house so stronger than the normal cantonese

I searched on trip adviser for best Chinese food takeaway and this came up, with reviews on the salt and chilli chicken balls - which aren't on the menu, you have to ask for them! Amazing, the best takeaway I have had in a long time and I will definitely be back!And the staff are lovely too!
