China Cuisine in South Lanarkshire

Not used this place in a very longtime , used tonight ordered mixed satay and when we got home received chicken satay only and payed extra for mixed , due to being over 10mile round trip no chance going back to change it , wife had a chicken fried rice , we both said same thing after eating our meals chicken tasted very very salty , only ate half of my meal as it was far to salty . Will be a very longtime before I go back …….yuk yuk .

This was my first time and I will be back.

Table for for last night, 10th January, 2025. At 6pm Food excellent however had to wait 1 hour 35mins before our main dishes arrived and that was after I asked !!chicken tender but don't liked it cubed . The carryout were going out non stop and a couple who arrived after us were served there starter and main before us . Shame as we enjoyed the food. Staff young and inexperience so owner should be there no toilet roll in toilet. Would like owner to reply please.

Got the order wrong (noodles instead of rice) but didn’t want to return as assumed they would be so busy

Order arrived and the juice was missing. We then plated up the food and the ribs were really rubbery and the chicken balls we’re burnt one had no chicken in it was just burnt batter

£11 more expensive than last week for same order, got home item missing, no answer on phone, had to go on a second 5 mile round trip, not even sorry, food was bang average. Won't be paying 47 quid for a meal for 3 again

Service very very slow took ages for food to arrive and then it arrived all disjointed my daughter had almost finished before I even got mine, food was ok but had better for the money not really worth it

Salt & chilli chips were FAR too salty, I love salt & chilli food, but this felt as if a full tub of salt had been chucked on them. The last time we ordered this it wasn't so salty, but the curry sauce was missing from our chicken balls.

wrong name on collection label so waited over 20 mins with my meal sat on the counter after continually being told mine was not ready yet eventually handed it was cold by the time I got to eat it. very disappointed

Order was freezing cold, was out with delivery driver for over 20minutes, salt and chilli crispy beef was tasteless, honey chilli beef tasted only of honey, ribs were average

Usually enjoy this Chinese but the quality of the food tonight was not good, rice was over cooked and really mushy, the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was just tasteless with chewy chicken, not impressed.

The chicken and the prawns weren’t very good tonight we really didn’t enjoy our food :( usually it’s so good but tonight we didn’t enjoy it

excellent quality. food was hot. really need to stop just eat hiking up your prices mind you. £3.50 for fried rice is terrible. quality of food softened the blow tho.

Part of our order was missing and we had to wait over half an hour for it to come again. Food lovely as always but had to be reheated because part missing. Disappointing

Delivery time was 6:35 but was only updated to 7:05 when I went in JustEat to find out where my order was at 6:50! No apology for lateness for £50+ order. Food was ok but mostly warm except chips which were cold. Takeaway for 5 people but we would probably order from somewhere else in the future.

Not the best salt and chilli chicken. Everything was really greasy.

Decided to collect as last time the delivery took 2 hours… sadly same issue even with going to collect it, ordered at 6.30 eventually got food at 7.55!! Far too many orders being taken, should stop taking orders to allow your kitchen to catch up.

Got sweetchilli and honey chicken n' chilli chips - both braw. Takeaway and the delivery was quick too.

Fried rice wash mashed up and lumpy. Chicken resembled the texture of an old car tyre and was very salty. Worst chicken fried rice I have ever tasted. Only plus point was it was delivered early. I won't be ordering from China Cuisine again.

Rice was a bit sticky and heavy but everything else was good.

Food arrived early, piping hot. Everything was lovely. First time ordering will definitely order again.

Order was late, chips were reheats food was cold and sauce was open and all over the bag.

Dined on the two course set menu for £16.90 fabulous value great size portions with amazing flavours in the food. I’ve also used this for a takeaway all the dishes we have tried have been excellent.

Waited 2 hours for a delivery with no call to say their would be a delay, shouldn’t be taking orders if too busy to fulfil delivery time given!

Despite phoning the restaurant twice past the estimated delivery times, the order was over an hour late. In total it took over 2.5 hours to get here from point of order.

Yo for the first time in history of being in Scotland I can taste some SPICE in my curry! Hurrah!!! Compliments to the chef! Tastes more authentic now! Bravo!

The food was way too salty and frankly inedible

Everything was soft not a nice smell off it and the chow mein had chillies in it not enjoyable at all.

Chips are supposed to have potato in them. They’re not supposed to be a hard shell you cannot eat, fried to oblivion!

Family and friends for a birthday celebration. Staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating, organising tables as we requested. Food as ever was fabulous. A great night out.

Ordered chicken , pineapple with cashew nuts. Asked for pineapple. Didn’t get any cashew nuts either

First time we used them they forgot part of the order. Called up and they said they are busy and will deliver it tomorrow… a few months passed and we decided to try them again after they emailed us a discount code for 15% off. Used their website however after payment got an error “error creating order in the backend” called up and was told they can’t do anything and to use just eat. Explained I would then not get the discount they advised they can’t help. (So don’t want to help) would avoid in future. Still waiting on the food that was missing from our original order but I’m sure you can deliver it whenever your not busy… might be cold tho given it’s been months now…

I don't think i got the right order. I ordered special chop suey, but got chicken chop suey (I think) I didn't realise until I'd started eating it. unsure if I'd order from here again.

Chips and rice were stone cold. Waste of money. Very disappointing

After being sent out chicken spring rolls instead of vegetable spring rolls, when I am vegetarian, the replacement sent was also not what I originally ordered, this order was also sent out incorrectly, however, the person who was dealing with the complaint was rude, telling me the order sent was correct and that I can come to collect a replacement order (originally paid for delivery) or there was nothing really more he could do as they were busy. The call ended with him telling me, this is where we part ways before he cut me off mid sentence by hanging up.

Best Chinese I've had in a long long time. The curry is so tasty. The portions are very generous too. My husband and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

15 mins later than predicted, still not here

Food took a while to arrive but we expected it as it’s a Saturday night. However, food was lukewarm when it arrived, chips were soggy and stodgy and parts of our order had been forgotten. This seems to be consistent with the last few times we have ordered

salt and chilli chip stone cold beef chow main slimy and cold will not be ordering from here again

My favourite local Chinese. I regularly order and food is always good quality. I usually pick up but delivered on time and guy was friendly and polite.

Received notification at 20:15 that order was with driver for delivery. Phoned restaurant at 20:50 & was advised order wasn’t in kitchen therefore out for delivery. Order arrived at 21:15, 1 hour late. Food was lukewarm & very bland

Second time now had missing items from here. Order turns up tonight with no bottle of juice, which was obviously ordered to have along with dinner. Delivery driver apologises saying forgot to pick it up but will be straight back with it. Dinner now long finished and we still haven't received the missing juice. Obviously not a priority to right the mistake they made. Anyway, been issued a refund by just eat and won't be rushing back to order. Pity because food is usually on point.

best chicken curry iv had in ages

Only issue I had I have just spent £ 2,000 on a fence and gate to keep my dog safe and delivery driver walked out and left it wide open, needs to be more aware, he opened it to come in, he should close it when he leaves. Food was lovely

Great choice of dishes and all well made

Firstly the delivery driver was excellent very polite and joviel, the meal was enjoyable the salt & pepper ribs where cooked very well and a good size portion , loads of chips , the curry was nice not runny nice and sticky to the chips , and then the pineapple fritters where excellent, enjoyed will uae again

Through no fault of their own my delivery was late, they made up for it tho. Made our food fresh and what I assume was the owner or manager delivered it to us roasting hot. Thank you. We were more than happy!

I get takeout from here occasionally, and I've been here with the family. My parents are super picky eaters and they say this is the best chinese food they've had in scotland, period. The satay sauce is the best.

Yet again food is late and COLD. If you can’t handle the orders coming in, STOP accepting them.

3 hours later and still hasn’t arrived after being told it’s on it’s way twice on the phone.

Food was over 1 hour late. My wife tried to phone the shop over 40 times for an update but couldn’t get anyone to answer on the phone. When the food finally arrived it was luke warm. The food had clearly been sitting somewhere the curry sauce had a greasy film over it and was tasteless. Sorry never again

Nice little restaurant does sit in and take away. Did both. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. This is my favourite Chinese in Carluke.

Paid £2,50 for prawn crackers- none arrived. Fried rice was supposed to come with curry sauce, instead came plain with chips which had curry sauce instead, crispy shredded chicken had no taste at all very watery

Great Meal And Service Food Was 1st Class And I Would Highly Recommend

China Cuisine food is always lovely - a cut above any other takeaway in the area. However, this time the delivery was several minutes beyond the latest estimated time and, for the first time ever, the food was not as warm as it should have been. I stress that this is the first time we've had this experience and I expect we'll order again, perhaps picking the food up ourselves.

Although delivery eventually showed up, by the time it did the takeaway was luke warm usually the food is hot. Still tasted great was just not hot especially as i am only about 6 minutes from the restaurant.
