We were on holiday, staying with friends who live in Aberdeen who recommended this cafe as they had been there before. Unfortunately it did not meet their previously good experiences expectations... Lovely location but quite a limited selection of cakes/pastries available and very small portions sizes for the prices being charged. We sat upstairs and were brought our drinks/cakes by the waiter. The hot drinks were served in horrible plastic 'beaker like' cups (like something a child drinks squash from). The tea was nice but both the latte and flat white were not nice at all, in fact most of the drinks were left. A little more attention to detail could make this place much better

We booked our evening meal in the bar for five nights, 10th -14th February 2025. The meals were chosen from a great menu, even our dog had her tea from the doggy menu. Our meals were delicious, different meal every night, with great service from the Dave and his welcoming bar staff, sitting by the open fire. There was a special Valentines menu on offer on Valentines night. We would definitely recommend anyone staying in Whitehills or Banff area to go and have a meal or even a relaxing drink at the Seafield Arms.

This place is a good bit out of the way in the Royal Deeside area, but it’s well worth seeking out for a tasty breakfast or lunch. We stopped off on a Sunday lunchtime. As usual, it was busy. But thankfully, having been here several times, we knew to book. Saw some disappointed looking people who hadn’t. The food here is consistently great. The firm favourite for us, is there soup and panini combo. A true bargain for just under a tenner. What’s so great about it, is that the soups of the day frequently change. On this day, I had the carrot and coconut, my wife had the tomato and basil. Both were fabulous. Bursting with flavour, as we have come to expect. My panini with tomato, pesto, and mozzarella, was delicious. My wife’s roasted vegetable and hummus one, just as tasty. The service here is excellent. The ideal balance of friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. It’s a fairly compact place, with space on the ground and balcony levels, as well as decent sized outdoors area, for summer days, and people with dogs. This is a firm favourite for people in the know. But be sure to book in advance.

Been several times to the Fife and it never, ever disappoints. From a warm welcome by the lovely staff, lovely setting to eat and drink to fabulous food! The owners are very humble and down to earth with a real passion for the service they deliver! It’s all to easy to complain about negative experiences but for us, The Fife, ALWAYS DELIVERS… Well worth a stop before all others in this area.

Reviewed this place positively well over a year ago and - if anything - it is even better. Customers were queueing out the door and along the pavement. The staff, though very busy, seem to juggle every task with good nature and fun. Kelly, in particular, is amazing. The food is always fresh, hot and tasty. Just a pity it's not open 7 days, but then, everybody is entitled to time off and this is quality, not quantity. The home baking is in a class of its own.

Weekly special was Excellent and great value st £6. The same can't be said for the jumbo haddock supper. Whilst it was nice. There was a single layer of chips in the box that actually meant it was less than in the special!! And the haddock fish was a bit on the small side. Not worth the £12+ this cost. Would have been 5 star. But the haddock was a real dissapointmrnt so -2* for that
