New Inn Hotel in Aberdeenshire

Superb little hotel warm welcome, excellent service and hospitality, food always superb … here for work and feels like home from home

We enjoyed our two night stay at the New Inn Hotel while in Ellon visiting relatives. All staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. A slight glitch with our room was sorted swiftly. We had a lovely view of the river from our bedroom window too. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday evening with our family. It was busy, and staff still managed to provide excellent service.

A nice clean place with very friendly staff. Good food, pub with life music.

Amazing food and rooms at this family owned hotel- my first choice when staying away close to Aberdeen

Lovely stay at the New Inn Hotel in Ellon. Great lad on the bar who was friendly and helpful. Chef's were so accomodating even though we arrived late. Big choice for dinner and breakfast. Clean rooms filled with all the necessities. Bed a little firm for me, but that is personal preference. Shower was a bit fiddly, great pressure! Wonderful service at breakfast too. 5* recommend. 😁

Amazing food great price, definitely worth a visit

Very good hotel . That weekend spoiled by manager. Bar and restaurant closed at 2000 hours for a staff celebration. No other public rooms. Different prices and attempted double charging. Told to go to the Buchan Arms for a beer

Stopped for afternoon drink. Disappointed no parking available had to pay to park by river across the road. Good service

We stopped in room 9, and although it was clean and lovely enough, we could have completed the pub quiz lying in bed, because it was so loud.

We were up for a motorcycling weekend, and the hotel was ideal for our requirements. Very nicely modernised. The room were extremely clean and spacious with a number of USB charge points. Also a great tea tray with a good selection of biscuits. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was great. Powerful shower and selection of toiletries. The evening meal we gad was great. Cullen Skink, chicken & haggis in a lovely sauce. Pud was sticky toffee. Yum. The bar was busy each night, but plenty of staff on duty. Breakfast was also extremely tasty. It was a great weekend and great value. Highly recommended.

Only attended for a after wedding party.

We enjoyed our stay. Lovely location. Nice comfy room. Everything was clean. Nice friendly staff. Nice food in the restaurant. We will stay again next time we are in Scotland.

Food was good, staff were excellent. My only objection was having booked a table of 5 we got a table for 4 and an extra chair shoved on the end which was on a main walkway so people pushing passed etc.

In for Sunday lunch. Menu is very good with specials as well. Table for nine was catered for in the bar as we booked late, and this was pleasant. Would recommend to anyone.

Poor quality fish which they claimed was fresh. As an ex fisherman I would dispute this. WON'T BE BACK.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The building has lots of history but they have done quite a bit to make it modern on the inside. There are no lifts, but the room was nice and we had a great view of the river out the window. The bed was very comfortable and the staff we met were friendly. It was easy to walk to various locations around Ellon. We enjoyed walking by the river.

I went here with my family on Monday evening and the whole experience was fantastic. The service was really good and the staff were super friendly and polite despite how busy they were the food was top notch in my opinion and the portion sizes were excellent well worth the price and good value for money overall my family and I had a amazing time and we will definitely be back 👍

A lovely hotel. Staff brill. Nice restaurant.

Good and wide range of quality food including GF and vegetarian. Service efficient and friendly. Private barrier protected parking with many spaces. Barrier code given when paying. Well worth a visit.

Another great meal. Chose the pasta dish this time. Such generous portions. More than happy..

Didn't stay on this occasion, was using the restaurant for a meal with friends.

Stayed here overnight as was working late in the area. Room was clean, newly refurbished with a comfortable bed and decent TV. Parking was great, loads of spaces and secured behind a barrier (code to exit). Would have given five stars but the hot water pressurisation system needs work. Shower pulsed with alternatively hot and cold water which didn’t make for a relaxing start to the day!

The staff that was in the restaurant at lunch today (25/01) a lady and a man was absolutely lovely, the food was delicious, and very responsible priced. Will definitely be back soon.
