it was not a visit it was a honeymoon delivery. I ordered food on the app for 6pm for my sons 15 birthday as a treat. My order came to £50. It arrived late, it arrived cold, they forgot dips that I had ordered. My son who wanted this for a birthday tea was so disappointed I ended up binning it and getting a Chinese instead which cost me extra. I will never be back again and this coming from someone who lives here and has used that chipper in its different names etc all my life. Well done as fish and chips is my absolute favourite but will never be getting it from there again

We got fish suppers from here on Friday night. The food was delicious. It was £19 for a standard haddock supper + standard haddock single. We will definitely come back again soon.

Chicken fillets were good and not at all greasy. Scampi was tasty. Staff pleasant. The premises however is in a bit of a sorry state…. The floor in the waiting area doesn’t look like it’s been washed in weeks & I came out not only stinking of the usual fryer smell (to be expected) but a horrible musty, damp & dirty smell. The food was good but the overall appearance of the place means we definitely won’t be rushing back.

Please read this and other recent reviews before parting with any money- Despite reading a few reviews on here where others had aired their disappointment, we were still excited to visit and sample the wonderful seafood on offer from the Seafood Bothy. However, this excitement was short lived. I chose the lobster and prawn roll. The roll was lovely, the box was full of salad but the seafood, the headliner of this dish, was sadly lacking. Two small pieces of lobster with about ten prawns which looked like they were previously frozen and could have been sourced from a local supermarket. The mayo wasn’t good quality either. My partner ordered the crab quiche which appeared as a shallow filled crab/egg filling in a pie case. I’m not sure this could be classed as a quiche. Nothing else in the bag. It did taste of crab though. On a positive note, the staff were lovely but I cannot help feeling that they are living on a past reputation. I don’t mind paying for good quality local produce which lives up to its reputation. This did not. Perhaps they should rename their van The Salad Shack as that’s what I got.
