This is a hidden gem of a place. Nothing to look at from the outside but inside it's great. You can eat in the bar or there is a separate eating area. Menu maybe a little limited but if you are a curry lover there's plenty of choice. Friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices.

Wanted a quick bite after traveling all day and found this place with high reviews. Walked into the restaurant feeling very unwelcomed. Then while ordering, I felt like the girl was annoyed the whole time. Upon receiving my order, I realized there was no salad in my wrap, which based on another reviewer, it’s likely because you have to explicitly tell them what you want and things don’t automatically come in the wrap. Maybe this is the norm around here, but not where I’m from. A drunk man walked in behind me and the cashier asked him if he wanted cheese on his burger or if he wanted salad on his burger, which was strange because I got no questions at all. Thankfully I asked about the garlic sauce, but the wrap would’ve been really good with some onion and tomatoes like I had expected. Really wish my experience would’ve been different but live and learn.

I've been here just twice but both times the treatment has been stellar. Not only are the staff friendly and talkative but they can make an excellent coffee and breakfast - one that it's hard to beat in similar places in town. The establishment comprises two rooms, seemingly parts of two separate buildings with a joining doorway meaning there is lots of space for a quiet breakfast or a more busy one as you see fit. Due to the location being just out of the reaches of the high street by a small walk, it's often quieter than the places more centrally located but I think this helps make Wickers World more enticing.

Not the greatest looking place but room was fine. Decor ok and spotlessly clean. Free parking opposite. Breakfast was really good cooked to order with a good selection. Lovely staff, very helpful. Great for an overnight stay on the NC500.

Popped in here recently on a trip through Wick to Dunnet Head - Got a cheese & tuna toastie and a latte which were both excellent. Owners were really friendly and the price reasonable considering the location - Have a feeling they could charge 2/3 times the price - being on the NC 500 - but choose not to. Will certainly return.

Quaint, old school fisherman’s bar where the locals will regale you with stories of old. Met some incredibly friendly people at this bar who bought us scotch and pints, wonderfully welcoming environment and great place to get a taste of old school Scotland.

Seems it's changed a bit since the last reviews, it's now some sort of donation-driven self-serve canteen. There were cakes, teas, coffees, and that sort of thing. As far as I could see it was just take what you want and pay what you can. A lot of locals and regulars there happy to chat, an interesting and friendly bunch for sure. Can recommend stopping by if you're in the area!! Be warned: no fish and chips here which is what got me there in the first place! But plenty of other joints for that in the vicinity, no harm done

Spent a weekend in Wick. After wondering around on Saturday evening after a very long and eventful train journey, I stumbled across this place. Having no reservation for dinner, I chanced it and walked in. Ritesh on reception was very pleasant and said it was no problem, although they were quite busy. Ordered food… it arrived very quickly, and wow it was good. Three courses later and the best part of a bottle of Rioja later I was completely satisfied. The price was not cheap, but outstanding for the quality of the food and service. Returned again the following evening, again without a reservation, the welcome was warm, and the food excellent. This is certainly a little gem in Wick, well worth a visit.
