Mountain Dew Bar in Highland

The hidden gem of the NC500! If you're travelling through Wick, this is well worth a stop. It doesn't look much from the outside but the warm welcome, friendly banter and hospitality were all second to none. The barman couldn't hear enough about our trip so far and our plans for the next few days, showering us with recommendations and helpful tips. The love for the tourist was almost overwhelming, and the staff went out of their way to set us up on the WiFi, to lend us a phone charger and to handmake us their speciality house cocktail (ask for Ralph, with a knowing wink - he makes a mean martini). I'd advise calling ahead to book and make sure there's space for you, especially if you're travelling in a large group. It felt like a home away from home and I can't wait to come back and raise a glass with the amazing locals and fellow tourists alike!

Absolutely pumping, the place has completely rebranded so finally all the boring old codgers and fish-botherers have buggered off and they’ve changed the menus to prioritise fresh trending cocktails and a variety of colourful shots. Banging local drum & bass artists on weekends, absolute vibes, packed and loads of fit birds. Loving the new interior! I manage to pull here most weeks now.

Great wee local fisherman pub - good crack.

Quaint, old school fisherman’s bar where the locals will regale you with stories of old. Met some incredibly friendly people at this bar who bought us scotch and pints, wonderfully welcoming environment and great place to get a taste of old school Scotland.

Old pub with usual locals but minimum outdated facilities. No food served at all. The lady is very friendly and helpful.

Very local pub with a nice feel. It’s not a central one, so takes a little bit of exploring in the town to find it. This is not a typical big city bar or anything like that, but authenticity and local culture are the main factors I love places like this.

If you are in Wick, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Mountain Dew. An absolute gem of a pub, with a really friendly local crowd and equally friendly bar staff. I am not a local, but after my first pint I had a group of friends to chat with that made me feel right at home and welcome. Cheers to the Mountain Dew.

The best pub for having a quiet game of pool and a pint. The worlds best pub.

A great atmisphere here and so friendly

By fat the best bar in the area. Very unique in character and a recently refurbished "Fisherman's bar" . There's many tales to be told by the locals of local history and legends. I would highly recommend calling in for a drink or 3. Very friendly staff and they also have a great pool table to go with their great whisky selection. A truly inspirational place to visit for me. They also have live music on from time to time.

Definitely a5☆ bar . Friendly , welcoming staff . Good range of keg beers and lagers . Also good range of single malts . Good juke box and pool table and a nice outside smoking area .

Great place with great banter . Everytime i am back home in wick i go here ,its my local pub that I've been going to for over 30years . Brilliant pub with very friendly people and staff.

A fine wee mountain dew bar to visit for the sports on the tv and also the banter at the bar.
