Well, we’ve just had a great breakfast in this small, friendly cafe. Tasty and filling is what you should expect and we were definitely satisfied.

Top quality food all locally sourced, real home cooking and baking. The locally caught haddock melts in your mouth, I had visitors from overseas this Summer and they were impressed with the quality and prices

Visited today for the first time. The staff and service were spot on and I felt very safe and looked after. The cakes are delicious and I am now eating some of the Millionaire Shortbread that I bought to takeout - yummy!

Refused entry for not wearing a mask when I am exempt. Appalling. Very lucky I’m not taking legal action

Visited here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, cafe was very busy with several tables reserved (always a good sign) Staff was friendly and took our order quickly and pleasantly. Extensive very well priced menu with something for everyone and caters well for children. Our order considering how busy it was arrived within ten minutes, my partner had the sweet potato and red pepper soup with a sweet chilli chicken toastie and I had the minute steak, onion, egg and chips. Mines was superb and perfectly cooked and my partners soup was to die for ! All round an excellent cafe with superb food !! We never had any of the extensive cake selection but they again looked superb. Amalie the owner and her team I take my hat off to you, EXCELLENT !!!

We love the Corner Cafe! Richard and Amalie are excellent hosts and prepare food for the whole community. Locals love this cafe - always a good sign. Consistently good! Brilliant breakfasts! They offer meat products and eggs sourced locally for extra freshness and flavour but they also take care of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free requirements. If you need something special, like a gluten-free cake, it's better to avoid disappointment by ringing in to see what's on offer. Amalie's gorgeous home-baked goods sell fast! This is a small and cosy cafe that serves a surprising range of dishes and nice coffee. Alternative milk like coconut milk is available. The cafe is wheelchair friendly but be aware that the toilet is up a narrow, steep flight of stairs. Right in front of the cafe is a no parking zone but there is parking just a few yards back or around the corner. I think the filling station opposite may allow camper vans to park across the road - which is worth checking. It's a friendly cafe that opens at 8:30am and closes early at 3pm, so no evening meals, sadly. It can get very busy at lunchtimes but you can ask for a table to be reserved. It has no credit/debit card facility so bring cash. We visit often and highly recommend Amalie and Richard's Corner Cafe in Wick!

The corner cafe always trys to accommodate my dietary needs, Amalie is very helpful in checking what ingredients are in the items I request and advices if suitable or not . Although they have a very small kitchen they try to prepare my food separate and I have had no issues with cross contamination . Most of there homemade soups are gluten free and come served with gluten free oat cakes which makes such a nice touch . Amalie surprised me with allowing me to try her gluten and vegan free chocolate brownies , omg they are so delicious a def must try as they taste so delicious. Amalie and Richard are so nice and really take the time to get to know there customers and I recommend you pay them a visit if in town .

Popped in for a cup of tea and hubby tried the cheesecake (raspberry). I had a small taste and found it very much to my liking. Obviously homemade. I chatted with the cook who prides herself in cooking from scratch.

Amelie's cafe is consistently good, wonderful home cooked food, excellent baking, very reasonable prices. In addition we have organised our Christmas meal there 2 years in a row and nothing is too much trouble for them. Big portions, quality ingredients and great banter. Excellent for takeaways too with the best homemade soup in the town. Highly recommend the salad platters.

So much nicer in the restaurant now they have done it up! Very impressed, the restaurant is lovely and modern, looks much more like a hotel restaurant. The food was a little on the pricey side, but not overly so, the food is definitely more aesthetically appealing and much better quality! The Balmoral chicken was fantastic.

We know the Tongue area very well, and like to eat locally, so it was obvious we would decide to eat at the Craggan, and i'm happy we did! The restaurant area is welcoming and clean, staff friendly, and the car park was easy even with a big van. The only problem was choosing from the menu! So many tasty things - i wish we had more time to visit again.. All three of us enjoyed our food, and we shared everything so i know it was all delicious. Thank you for making a rather wet evening so special..

All take-out, but you can eat inside. Food was fine, service was fine, BUT there is ONE guy at the bar and everyone has to pay at the bar. Somehow none of the service providers know how/are allowed to run the cash register. So all the people stopping by for a beer, and all the people eating, and all the locals who are regulars, all need this one guy. He's trying to fill beer and drink orders, AND run the only cash register. The place was PACKED and the line went through the entire restaurant. We had a tour booked 30 minutes later and had to ask for special treatment in order to get checked out in time to make our tour, which made us feel like jerks, but really it's just a really inefficient business practice. They can do better.
