Great to see you are open for breakfast now so handy just on my door step could not fault anything . I was talking to the steak lady and had a really good talk about Christmas day menu. I will be booking here. Oh the food is scrummy

My friend and I had late lunch and were hogging a table having a good chat and the staff were super attentive and accommodating of the time we needed to elapse after lunch before we could fit dessert in. We really wanted a dessert and my brownie was excellent! Extra thanks to Amy and Leanne who updated our car registrations on the parking so we would not get a ticket for being over the 3 hours. The food was tasty, good value and great service. Bonus points for being dog friendly. Will definitely be back.

So I ordered a burger from these clowns. Waited two hours for it like a fool, only for them to not deliver it. Apparently, the concept of "delivery" is too advanced for this place. Had to haul myself down there to grab it like it’s 1995. Thanks for nothing. Then, I finally unwrap the burger, mouth watering and take a bite, and crunch! What’s this? A bone in my chicken burger? Seriously?! Thought I was eating a burger, not playing chicken roulette with my teeth, honestly... Long story short—if you’re into waiting around for food that never shows up and then nearly breaking your jaw when it does, this is your spot. But me? Never again. Get your act together, Blackrooster—or at least learn the difference between a burger and a death trap.

Two of us visited for lunch on a weekend. We had 2 standard sandwiches and & 4 coffees. When I called at the till to pay (having requested it twice whilst at the table and been ignored) the bill was £47. I immediately said “that can’t be correct”. A very snippy response that it was absolutely correct as everyone else had paid and it was the only bill left. Clearly my bill had been given to someone else who hadn't queried it. I queried it again and the response was even more aggressive. I paid and left. I will never return to any Calders venue or garden centre and neither will a significant number of friends and family who are now aware. When your staff are more interested in their nails/make up/iPhones this is how they treat customers.
