Well, I was bought their big blue book for Xmas so the next time in Edinburgh had to book a visit. Slightly late arriving as we got lost but arrived and were quickly shown up the stairs - quite daunting when you had been in your feet all day - to the dining room.
It was packed but gave off a great vibe.
Our Bulgarian waiter - sorry, but didn’t get his name - was excellently thorough in explaining the menu in detail .
Drinks of Kingfiaher beer arrived, suitably chilled, ahead of starters of Amritsiri fish and house chaat. Both were outstanding.
A shared min of Goan fish curry, pilau rice and. Plain naan bread swiftly followed. Again, hot and fresh and very tasty.
Time taken to finish a second beer apiece and watch the room go by.
All in all, a wonderfully tasty experience with quite brilliant staff. Cost was par at £85 for two.
Now to cook at home some of the recipes in the book.
This was our first time visiting this Chinese restaurant but, definitely it was an enjoyable experience. The quality of the food, including the starters and the main courses, was very good. All the dishes seemed to be adequately prepared and nicely presented.
The staff were welcoming and interacted very well with the customers.
We definitely plan to return for another meal here and we do not have any hesitation in recommending the restaurant.
Fantastic experience, the service is absolutely excellent and very friendly. Prices are decent with generous portions and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I really recommend The Percy if you want to try Polish cousin definitely the place to go.
We had walked to Dean Village and on our way back to our Airbnb we found this restaurant and it was so delicious! It was a cold day so their chicken noodle soup was perfect! Honestly one of the best soups I've had and still think about it!
¡Gracias!
What a find. The MOST enthusiastic owner and host, delicious, simple, authentic food, fabulous service, not expensive plus amazing artwork on the walls. Highly recommend
Absolutely amazing evening.
They gave us the best dining experience we have ever had. From start to finish everything was amazing.
We were lucky enough to have the place booked to ourselves meaning the most fantastic service. Very active while giving us space. A detailed explanation of the food and the wine pairing was perfect.
Food was perfect, wine pairing perfect and service was the best we have ever had.
WARNING!. Outdated menu prices, overpriced and underwhelming!. Expect to pay £35 pp for a small amount of food excluding alcoholic!. Beware of fake reviews!
Ive been here twice for a takeaway and it was pretty good, albeit with above average prices and decent enough food.
However I dined in and apart from the atmosphere, I was disappointed with everything else.
First of all,the menu on their website is not up to date so add at least 2 to 3 pounds on top of the prices on there.
So therefore expect to pay close to 17 pounds for a tiny main course that is half the size of a takeaway sized portion, which consists of like 6 pieces of meat!.
You still need to get rice, that will cost you 5 quid, starters are at typically 8 quid(avoid the samosas at all cost as they they are tiny). nan bread is close to a fiver, poppadoms will cost you 2 to 3 pounds.
The rice is a tiny portion, less than a ready meal.the chilli garlic lamb i had was half the portion size of a standard sized takeaway tray.the chicken pakora was ok but nothing to write home about about.
All in all, thats like 35 to 40 quid per head for a very average meal.i wouldn't bother dining in again for sure as that's very poor value for money,in fact it's safe to call this an expensive waste of money.
id rather buy an Indian ready meal of virtually the same quality, for less than a tenner than to dine here again.
This place must be making huge profits by serving tiny portions at ridiculous prices or paying their staff next to nothing.
Only come here if you want to waste money and feel ripped off!.
Complete waste of time and money, places like these should be shut down.
Great little find. Googled italian coffee shops after spending a few days in naples recently and this place popped up. Ordered a cappuccino and cannoli, both excellent and reminded me of being back in Italy. Would highly recommend. Friendly staff too.

Friendly owner with perfectly ordinary dishes. Nothing special, but not bad either. It's not really possible to sit together here, and you'll just stare at a wall.
One of the best Gimbap I’ve ever eaten! Not exaggerating! I’ve been to Korea twice in my life time, I find myself missing Gimbap. These are superb authentic! ❤️
