The food was delicious and piping hot . All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would certainly recommend Cool Jade.

Called in as staying local. Welcome was excellent seated in nice area, salt and chilli squid to start with mixed meat Szechuan to follow. A pint of draught beer to help. Portions were very good, prices fine and have booked for tomorrow night. I go home Friday. One of best experiences I have had.

Really good food and helpful staff. It was the first Chinese my parents have had in probably decades (or maybe at all) and they really enjoyed the food. Which is very difficult to achieve!

Ordered a take away for the first time. Partners food seemed nice enough. But I requested honey chilli sauce on the shredded chicken. I find it strange the sauce come seperatly and if I looked closer at the menu it says 'with' and not 'in' the sauce. And to call it sauce, it was as thin as water and just ran off the chicken completely. Usually honey set in some way so I think it was sugar water or something else other than honey in this. Therefore the chicken just tasted plain. Shame they don't cook it in the sauce, although with as thin as this was I doubt it would have made any difference. Was looking forward to trying here as I've heard good things. I wasn't keen on the salt and pepper chips either. Very soggy.

The food was wonderful - really tasty! We had the sharing platter to start - gorgeous! Chicken satay and Singapore noodles for our main. Had loads of leftovers to take home. The wine was gorgeous and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend this place.

We had booked a table for four & were told it would be ours for 2 hours - just right. The menu has a lot of choice and the staff are skilled at their jobs. Good to see the place filling up with repeat customers, always a sign of quality. We were all pleased with our choices.

We visited here for my grandsons 13th birthday with a prty ofc4 adults plus birthday boy. Couldn't fault anything. Food was amazing with generous helpings, staff were super friendly and restaurant was lovely with fairy lights etc. Would recommend 100%. Can't wait to go back.

First time here, it won’t be the last! Booked a table for six for a family meal. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome with smiling friendly staff. Brilliant food served hot friendly staff

Visited here for 1st time tonight found staff to very welcoming & friendly.place was busy & loads of takeaways being served to seemed like regular customers. Food from starters to main course was delicious,will visit again & would highly recommend.

What a beautiful place. Fairy lights and lanterns on the ceiling and gorgeous wall paper. The staff brilliant. The food very tasty. The salt and chilli ribs super yum. Very kindly provided with extra fortune cookies at the end of the meal and after starters provided with the cute little hand wipes with the Chinese animal years on the packaging. Very much recommend this place and the location is brilliant if you have just been to the zoo especially or are staying in the holiday Inn as we was. Hidden gem 💎 🌟

New tables a bit like cafe,hanging lights and lanterns a bit too much, lost ambiance from when it first opened, service felt a bit rushed .

Wow , what a great place . The staff squeezed us in before their rush period. We cannot fault any part of the whole experience staff were fantastic. Food was sensational ,my 8 year old loved it all and the use of the kids chopsticks. Staff kind enough to put leftovers in a box which we munched on back in the hotel .

What a lovely experience from start to finish. We were seated as soon as we arrived, the staff left us to read our menu for a short while until the rest of our party arrived. Once the others arrived the got us drinks, bringing extra water for our table, plus prawn crackers. Once ordered, our food came out very quickly & we were amazed at the portion sizes. The food tasted amazing & not overly salted/MSG coated. I’m surprised we managed to eat it. The surroundings were lovely, very clean. The staff were very attentive & kind, but not overly so. All in all a lovely place, great food, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Was a thourghly enjoyable meal, we both had 3 courses and every course was so yummy. Both of us could have curled up and fell asleep right there.

First time here for dinner and honestly one of the best Chinese meals I have had. So hot and fresh. Super tasty. Will be back and will definitely be coming here for takeaway from now on. Walked in off the street and asked if we could order a take away, we were welcomed and given menu's. Ordered, sat and waited by the entrance. From what we could see, the diners food looked good. This place was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely food and can certainly recommend this restaurant.

Ordered spicy starter and spicy main course which were lacking in spice.

Lovely staff, well mannered and smiley. The food was okay, the tofu was the best, the rice was fluffy but rice meals and the glass noodle dish lacked a lot of flavour, the fried tofu was lovely though with spices. It's a very expensive restaurant for food that doesn't taste as good as take away, the nice thing was the food wasn't that greasy. But definitely not worth as much as we paid

I don’t really like Chinese, like if I had the choice it is my 3rd favourite. This place has literally made me promote it to first! It is like getting a home cooked Chinese meal soooo authentic not salty just superb! I have recently moved to Edinburgh for work and I now visit this place at least once a week. I think they are responsible for the stone I have put on! It is a must go if you are in the area

We stumbled across the Chinese purely by accident and so glad we were able to secure a table. Sunday evening, 6pm and the restaurant was already really busy, and you can see why. Service, food and standard were all extremely high. Certainly have big portions being served too you! Can't fault it at all. Really lovely food. If you're staying at Holiday Inn near the Zoo and don't want to eat in the restaurant do check out the Chinese directly opposite, you won't be disappointed.

Top notch in every way. Very busy evening, so was happy to come back 30 mins later. Service was fast without feeling rushed, food was tasty and well cooked. Quantities were more than we could manage (we had the banquet). Staff were friendly even with how busy it was. Atmosphere great too.

Cool Jade is a great option in Corstorphine. Always busy. Especially from the hotel opposite we reckon. We usually do takeaway and there is no difference in quality to sitting in. Frequented for years. Never an issue. Food quality remains great. Service is great.

This place is great and no surprise why many people call it the best Chinese In Edinburgh. It is a bit more pricy than others but the food quality is amazing. Staff are extremely friendly too and would recommend this place to anyone.

Juste le café qui n'est pas celui que nous prenons habituellement, un peu particulier au niveau texture et arômes, je pense me mettre au thé pendant notre séjour 🤣

What a wonderful visit we had, from start to finish easily the best Chinese restaurant and meal we have had. The food was obviously cooked fresh and all our dishes tasted amazingly good. We were staying on Osborne Road and after a day wandering around the centre, we looked for somewhere fairly close, Cool Jade was recommended to us and after looking at the review on TA we called in on the off chance of getting a table. The welcome was great and the waiter showed my wife to our table whilst I followed his instructions on how best to park the car. Service was impeccable, very attentive and helpful. We settled on the Banquet and wow, we were not disappointed, although we had to apologise as we jus t couldn't manage to eat it all! They did offer to put it in containers for us to take away but we declined due to staying in a hotel. Everything was extremely tasty and cooked perfectly, the meat on the spare ribs was beautiful, not usually to my wife's liking but she loved them, duck melted in your mouth and the lemon crispy chicken was excellent. Ice cream was obviously not a cheap make as it was soft and creamy better than Haagen Das! A fantastic night, great food, exceptional service and great surroundings, will definitely be back on our next trip to Edinburgh.

The service was almost too attentive, with the waiter placing napkins on our laps and food on our plates, but perhaps that's part of the cultural experience. The food itself was incredibly delicious, and thanks to the warming plate, it remained hot throughout the meal. The portions were very generous, and unfortunately, we had to leave some of the side dishes as we were so full. We would definitely come back again!

Local staple. It's one of the best Chinese restaurants in Edinburgh. Parking on the road when the bus lane hours end and there's a bus stop right outside too. Great food, served on hot plates to your table to keep warm. Good selection of drinks and the place itself is nicely decorated. The staff are always friendly and attentive. Eating in is a good deal more expensive than the takeaway menu. It is to be expected but you will pay £25 a head here pretty easily. So just be aware. Otherwise I can't recommend it highly enough.

We ordered anyway as we were already here. The staff made the experience so lovely, made us feel important and well looked after. The food portions are great! We ordered the banquet for 2 and we had food left over which they boxed up for us to take with us. The food is so tasty and not your typical greasy Chinese take away. We ended the meal with Chinese tea which was lovely. The whole experience was so worth the price. Would definitely go back in the future.
