Tried this place recently, it was nice and quick. Limited menu with a few things out of stock but we came in for the bulgogi and it was delicious. Portions aren’t bad but there’s definitely places in Edi that offer the same price for a little bit bigger portions. Its worth a try if you around Stockbridge area! Customer service was lovely

We discovered Kim’s bulgogi on the way back to our Airbnb on Sunday but they were closed. We came back today for lunch. It’s a very small shop with a few tables for dine in. So we decided to order to go. I liked that they had a very clear menu showing how to order. We got the bibimbap beef Bulgogi and spicy pork, rice bowl with sweet soy chicken and beef Bulgogi. Also, got the Korean sweet pancake which was only available during lunchtime. I liked the beef bulgogi more than spicy pork. Beef was well seasoned and tender. Sweet soy chicken was okay - good flavor but the breading on the chicken was too thick and hard. For kimchi lovers, you will have to order as side dish and its 3 GBP for tiny portion. Overall, generous portion with reasonable price but I was not impressed with the quality of food here.

Ordered two boxes of glass noodles with meat here. Their spicy pork and spicy chicken just don’t taste much like Korean style but more of British style, I personally think these are not authentic. Especially the pork is fishy, so is the chicken somehow. For the prices, I won’t order again.

Small & cute Korean restaurant with a simple but delicious menu. Took me a minute to find it but it was worth it! The Bibimbap was great! I enjoyed having the restaurant to myself as I came in for a late lunch, and the gentleman who served me was really nice and friendly!

So good to find some authentic Korean flavours after so long in the UK, finally some real gochujang and kimchi (not that sauerkraut like western stuff). The place is small, but the service was really nice and even helped me find some good places to buy kimchi around the city 😁 thank you! 🙏🏼 PS please add 감자조림 to the side dishes!

Kim’s Bulgogi nowadays offer the table and seat for dining in (3-4 tables). This change allow me to come to try it when it serves hot. Situated at the Stockbridge close to Starbucks, it serves this neighborhood for many years. I tried their chili/ soy sauce chicken bulgogi in bibimbap style. You can follow the steps on the board. Bibimbap is the healthy options if you like vegetables. The portion is huge and very fulfilling so prepare your appetite before coming in. The cutlery and bowl are plastic so it kinda give the vibe of takeaway more than dining in but the flavors my South Korean friend endorse it. Note: the soy sauce and chili chicken are the deep fried version whereas the spicy and fire chicken are meat without deep fried. The flavors of chicken is very nice with crispness and the sauce that coat the meat.

Small cozy place with excellent, friendly service and tasty bibimbap and japchae!

It was my first Korean meal during my 7-day trip, but it's not something I would go out of my way to eat. The red pepper paste is like watered red pepper paste, so it's not spicy no matter how much you put in it. There is a lot of rice, but these days, quality is better than quantity... I traveled a long way to eat it, but I feel tired.

Food was good, atmosphere was cosy and nice but attitude was bad. Also, add tteokbokki to your menu. Its cold in Edinburgh, people would like to eat it when the weather is cold.

I’ve only had deliveries from this place and it’s quickly become my go-to restaurant for Korean food. The spicy pork (jeyuk bokkeum) is the closest you will get to the real thing. Same goes for the glass noodles (japchae). Beef bulgogi is a safe choice for anyone who’s trying Korean cuisine for the first time.

Simply the best! Amazing taste. A must try place and reasonable pricing 👌🏼 10/10 would recommend.

As I am ethnically Korean, after having been in Edinburgh for three weeks, I was craving for Korean food. I found this place through my friend’s recommendation and I am so thrilled I found this place. Quite small in size, it’s really cosy and clean. The owner was really kind and efficient. I had bulgogi ,two kinds of chicken dishes, miso soup and kimchi. All of them were delicious. Bulgogi meat was tender, chicken was crispy and well seasoned. Kimchi was light and fresh and I can see why the owner proudly commented that they don’t use any msg. It’s a shame that I didn’t take a photo- too busy munching! Will be back very soon! S. Best food experience I had in two weeks in Edinburgh. Not only the food was delicious, but also Yohan was extremely kind and insightful when giving me advice on what to order. Don’t miss it!

Regular stop. Excellent food, usually very fast service although as it’s just a small place popularity with the delivery services can slow things a little. Only drawback is that it closes a little early at 20H30, but that’s Stockbridge for you.

Great food for a very affordable price! Had the pork bibimbap, it was delicious. Not much space to eat inside but they do takeaway.

i have tried veggie bibimbap today with tofu. would’ve preferred more veggies like spinach & mushrooms to add, it was not that authentic i think. but overall good. also, korean places in S korea always give side dishes, but here you have to pay £3 for kimchi which i think is too much( Customer service was excellent 😊

Excellent Food! I ordered for delivery and everything was yum, you can really tell that it was all fresh and handmade. My only critique is that the kimchi was a bit sour and portion was small for £3.50, everything else was great value for money!

This is a great casual Korean. The food was utterly delicious and the service was really friendly. My niece had never eaten Korean before and loved it. We have had Korean and enjoyed it immensely. Really great for a quick dinner.

It is a tiny place and most people come there for take out then dine in. The food is amazing and the people are very nice.

Sometimes, you just stumble on a really amazing place. Really friendly staff, food was excellent. We had chilli chicken bimibap (my favourite) and spicy pork noodles. I could have ordered a second portion, because it was so good.

I ordered to takeaway and picked up within 15mins. The place is small, but has a few tables for sit in if you prefer. The chicken wings were really tasty! The sauce was a little spicy, sweet and sticky so was perfect with the juicy wings. The bibimbap itself was delicious! It had a mix of different vegetables, cucumber, carrots, onions, beansprouts and the rice, everything tasted fresh. The beef itself was cooked perfectly and had some lovely spices through it! I would definitely order again!

Delicious food served quickly at a great price

My partner and I ordered here last year (2021) and both our chicken bulgogi’s lacked any taste at all (literally nothing), it was so strange. However, my partner had ordered from Kim’s countless times during lockdown and raved about it so we gave it another try and thought they were just having an off day. We then went back in sept 2022 and both couldn’t taste anything from the spicy chicken & the chicken bulgogi. Really sad because the chicken was super crispy and the rice was fluffy & cooked perfectly but unfortunately lacked any seasoning.

A cosy little cafe serving quality Korean food.

Overpriced, low quality food, long wait. Ordered a mediocre bibimbap that was served to me on a cold cheap plastic bowl, instead of in a hot stone bowl that it should be served in. Of course it lost it's heat instantly. Absolute rip-off. Don't recommend at all.

Ordered from them via Foodstuff for the first time and I regret not doing so earlier! The crispy soy sauce chicken bibimbap was absolutely delicious. The rice was topped with the crispy chicken, carrots, bean sprouts and zucchini. Can’t wait to try out other items on the menu.

Tried this place for the first time. Had the crispy chicken Bulgogi Noodles and veggie dumplings. I tried the noodle dish years ago back in Turkey, at a very authentic Asian restaurant and since then, I have been looking for the same dish here in the UK. I finally found it and I am over the moon. Extremely tasty, good portion. It was a takeaway delivery, so the tub was very nicely packed. The clear noodles were amazing. Even the veggie dumplings were very tasty. I'm happy that I discovered Kim's Bulgogi, I will come back for more and try out the other dishes as well. Highly recommended!

Kleiner aber feiner Laden in Stockbridge. Wirklich authentischer Koreaner! Wird auch von vielen Koreanern besucht, was von guter Qualität zeugt. Speisekarte ist klein gehalten, hat aber die gängigsten und beliebten koreanischen Speisen! Schmeckt ganz gut und ist zudem relativ günstig. Essen kam auch sehr flott.

Really nice wee place & tasty food

Brilliant choice of the best of Korean food. Homemade kimchi - delicious. Vegetable dumplings were sumptuous. The Bul Gigi dishes were excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I’ve tried this twice, both delivery, and I’ve always enjoyed it. The beef is really flavourful, well spiced, and just the right chew. The soy chicken is amazing, I could eat buckets of it. I wasn’t too big a fan of the gyozas, I found them a bit flat, but still okay.

I had the beef bulgogi bibimbap which was very tender, juicy and paired well with gochujang sauce. Staff were attentive and friendly.

My husbands chicken bulgogi was tasty as were the veg dumplings. Here comes the downside, my veg bibimbab with tofu was boring and other than the sauce they provided on the side it was tasteless. The veg appeared to be steamed and then lightly dipped in sesame oil. Mixing everything made it all just soggy. I have had bibimbap in many places before and found this one disappointing.

Food was a 10/10 and awesome portion sizes for the price. I was ordering online with my friend who really doesn't like spicy food, the restaurant called me several times to try and get me and explain (in the end they left a voicemail and left a little handwritten note inside the bag) explaining that the tofu is made in an already spicy mix but they had done their best to combat, and if it was too much then we should remove the tofu. Just great thought put into it and we had a fantastic experience. Will definitely eat here again and was left with a really great feeling about the place. Places like this deserve your business, really nice people and nice service. We had Vegetable-only bibimbap and a spicy chicken bulgogi with glass noodles. Both were fantastic.

The first impression of this place was that it was immaculate. The owner was really kind, the bulgogi was moist, chicken was crispy and well seasoned. The portion was generous and being Korean myself, it is genuinely authentic and well seasoned. Would definitely go back again!

OMG thank God for some good, simply made, unpretentious Korean food! There's basically three foundations and you add your choice of protein. All in all it makes for a great, simple night in.

Cheap , homemade , very friendly, very big people portions , very tasty , what else a person can wish for ?! Nothing! It was perfect! I recommend this restaurant for food lovers like me !

Served authentic Korean food which taste amazing! Been here several times to have their glass noodles again and again! Just love the glass noodles texture and taste, goes well with any the spicy chicken, beef, tofu etc. If you love spicy food, can always go ahead and try the fire chicken!

We were excited to try out Kim's Bulgogi as we are huge fans of Korean food. We were extremely disappointed with the food as it lacked any real flavor which is odd for Korean food. The meat quality was poor and would not recommend.

Great little Korean restaurant with a short but tasty menu. Lovely dumplings to start and then a selection of their mains. The best was their fire chicken bibimbap. The glass noodles were lovely but needed more! Staff really friendly and welcoming and looked after our twins well! They even sent them away with a small snack! We’ll be back to explore more of the menu as I would like to try the kimchi pancakes. Thanks for a great meal!

Great place where to enjoy a lovely dinner, discovering Korean cuisine. Excellent customer service, very friendly and engaging! The fact that it’s small inside, it makes this place a special gem for few people a time, ideal for some romantic and relaxing time. Easy menu, with a good variety and cheap prices! Big And delicious dishes, so that we couldn’t finish. Ideal if you want something genuine, away from commercial chains! Need to go back!
