Absolutely amazing all day breakfast rolls. Don't bother with chain outlets as you get PROPER value for money here. Very friendly too!

Popped in to fuel up prior to walking the Forth Bridge. The chef and the lady behind the counter we’re both very friendly and the food ( bacon and egg roll and sausage roll plus two coffees) was freshly made to order and excellent. Great stuff!

Grilled cheese is simple but here it’s on steroids. Best one I’ve had. The cheese crust layer or whatever you may call it was sensational. I’ll be back for more for sure. Unsure if cakes are made on site but they are also brilliant. Great, quick & friendly service. 11/10

Disappointing - purchased drinks to take away, didn't taste very good. Perhaps the food is better, as other reviews suggest.

Delivered hot, packed full of chosen fillings. Black pudding and bacon off the scale. Definitely be ordering again. Thank you!

James and the team were so lovely and incredibly accommodating even with the place being so packed!

Came for lunch on a quiet Monday afternoon and got seated at a lovely window table overlooking the street. Ordered the Cullen Skink as a starter and the Venison for my main dish. Service and food were both outstanding. I highly recommend dining here.

We had our first visit to the Grand Cafe for Fizz and Flick where we had brunch followed by a film - on the most part, we loved our visit, however there were a few parts of the service that weren't great. We were asked if we would like our fizz upon entry and as my wife is pregnant, we asked if there was any non-alcoholic fizz as an alternative. The waitress said no, without giving any alternatives. We had to prompt if she could have a soft drink instead - which was fine. The majority of places we go, especially with a great reputation like the Grand Cafe, normally have non-alcoholic alternatives and staff don't require a prompt to offer a soft drink. The menu had around 6 options, 3 of which had hollandaise sauce and another with pesto. We asked if anything was unsuitable for pregnancy dietary requirements. The waitress went to ask the kitchen and came back to advise that the hollandaise sauce and pesto were unsuitable. There the options were quite limited. Instead of suggesting that the dishes were served without the sauce or pesto (they were just added on top of each meal) they were just ruled out completely. Again, it was a bit disappointing that there wasn't an alternative offered and instead the menu limited to two items. The food that we did have was delicious, it was just a shame there wasn't more variety for my wife. The overall experience was amazing and we'll definitely be back, maybe just without the brunch part.
