My children and I loved the food here! The lamb dishes were so good! We were served by lovely Marinara- amazing service!

Staff were warm and welcoming, food was delicious. We were staying at the hilton attached to the restaurant and they were having issues with their alarm and the lovley lady on front of house, came to us and offered us a blanket for our baby if we needed one due to being evacuated ( didn't need to be evacuated) But it was going that extra mile that made my time here just perfect. If I could give more stars I would!!

First night: Hati was lovely. Very polite. Provided courtesy check but allowed me to eat my meal in peace without hovering. Second night: served by Mari, again lovely. Super polite. Could see if had a long stressful day and was smiley without being sickly. (Didn’t take a photo of second day meal. Was very tasty- minced lamb skewer) Would definitely recommend

Exceptional service and even better food

I've only ever had good things to say about Sofia's previously (as we've been many times) but the waiter last night (20-25 dark hair, latin american I think) wasnt just rude to me, he was offensive, and also made my fiancee feel uncomfortable to the point that as soon as we exited she said "OMG - what a creep. Im glad you wanted to leave too"!  - for context, we left before even ordering! This waiter could learn some humility and in future try to be humble to customers instead of being cocky and offensive. Sadly, after this experience, we wont be back.

Upon my arrival one of the lady waitress with dark long hair and glasses recognised me. I told her I don’t need a menu as I will have the same as last night. She said the Sofia’s salad and hallumi fries? I was well impressed. She remembered me. She asked me if I would like to try a hallumi&veg skewers. It was the best thing ever. The service and the food is excellent. Most friendly staff and the most delicious authentical dishes I ever tasted. I travel a lot and I am working in hospitality (hard to impress me) but this place won me. Will be returning for the upcoming nights as I am staying at the hotel above.

Everything was very good, the service was very good and the food was very delicious.

We sadly had to cancel our table here last minute as I was unwell, however the staff couldn't have been lovelier. We decided to order takeout from them and I'm so glad we did because the food is tremendous. We'll definitely make sure to book a table sometime in the future, and soon.

The service was bizarre. As if it was everybody’s first day on the job and they had never waited tables before. We were very disappointed with the food: not what I expected at all: think ‘pub food’ but with spices. And, even though we went early and it wasn’t busy at all, not even a thank-you and goodbye from the staff all standing by the counter when we left.

First time trying Sophia's, and I was very pleased with the food and service. The staff is very friendly and the owner is involved in every aspect of the experience. Highly recommended!

I had the hurricane burger and it was delicious however they do not give chips with it and charge seperare for sauce. Although we got the food quite quick. It took forever for someone to get our bill so we could leave which is why I'm giving it 3 stars and not more. We waited like 20 mins for someone to give our bill.

A beautiful place, a different Arabic design, and a special location, but the prices are normal in this place

Just came back to our room from the restaurant. The food was amazing - the best thing we’ve had in Edinburgh, hands down! Kudos to amazing hostess, who amid incredibly busy evening, promised to hold a table for us if we return back in 40 mins, which she did! Food was finger-licking good, huge portions, fresh, and savoury. The baklava dessert was suprisingly big, consisting of 4 pieces. Strongly recommend chicken cheeseburger, hummus, and halloumi cheese.

Came in approximately 20:05 and we order the mixed platter with drinks, the restaurant was not busy at all however we receive our drinks after ordering and it seems like they forgot to register our food even our starter option is served around 9:10 !, and there is another table order after us and their food is been served before us and they even finish their desert before our food! There excuse for the delay is that they want the chicken to be fresh and on the payment they offer us a tip option if we want after after this delay in service.

Service was great and the food was tasty. However, ordered the hummus to start which was lovely, they provided us with one small Lebanese saj bread (for two of us). The bread was lovely but very small and thin (thin like an A4 sheet of paper). We requested for more bread (twice) as there was a lot of hummus. When the bill came they charged us £4.90 for the extra two slithers of bread. Not acceptable, they should provide a decent amount to start with. So if you get the hummus, bring your own bread.

El personal era 5 estrellas. Estamos libres de gluten y ellos hicieron todo lo posible para asegurarse de que nuestras preferencias fueran respetadas. La comida era increíble! ¡Los corderos de Sophia son imprescindibles! El menú es bastante variado e incluye deliciosas hamburguesas. Comimos allí 3 noches nos encantó tanto! El brownie sundae estaba delicioso! Recomendamos encarecidamente Sophia's!

Disfrutamos de la cena dos veces durante nuestra estancia en Edimburgo. El pollo asado estaba delicioso y la ensalada feta era lo suficientemente sabrosa como para que lo pidiera de nuevo la próxima vez que estuvimos allí. Disfrutamos de la caña de cordero asado lentamente esa vez en Sofia’s. También su pegajoso pudín de toffee de postre que nos dijeron que estaba hecho con dátiles... ¡fue delicioso! Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante.

As someone who has been to the Middle East, I was rather hesitant to dine at Sofia's Lebanese Street Food, but I'm glad that I did. Food was sumptuous, the Lebanese wine 🍷 a sure plus, and Ms Hiba completed an excellent dinning experience.

Went for the lunch special around 2.30 today with my partner, so wasn't too busy. From the moment we went in though we were greeted enthusiastically by Faris (at least that's what the receipt says his name was). He had great chat, and made us feel welcomed and relaxed in our environment. Service was truly excellent. Food was delicious with generous portion sizes, the halloumi chips, wings and hummus i had were great. Would definitely eat here again if in Edinburgh, terrific choice for lunch, value was second to none.

Food was delicious and definitely recommend the lunch menu for value for money purposes! Felt full for the entire day and fed two with two drinks for less than £35 including a tip! Definitely worth a visit at lunch as value in comparison to nearby restaurants is second to none. The waiter who served us was lovely - only thing to note is I did feel slightly uncomfortable at the pushing of alcohol as nether of us wanted to drink today, I appreciate an initial ask but every drinks suggestion seemed to be alcohol themed

Order was extremly puncutal, Staff was lovely and very friendly when I picked it up and the food was beyond delicious. Some of the best Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding I've had in the UK. Pricing was more than fair, too. Would absolutely recommend!

We had two burgers, which, looking back, was not the smartest choice, the burgers (we had lamb burgers) were fine but nothing I would come back for. The service was nice, but despite two of us being there, we had only one set of cutlery 😀.

Went because my guest wanted Lebanese, location suited us and good reviews. Pretty dissapointed. Food was decidely average, each item on the dry side and well below that of other similar in Edinburgh. Service indifferent, and largely absent. Several times we had to get up to attract attention. Only plus point was lunch deal meant did not pay too much.

Faris could be one of the best waiters in all of Scotland. Very good food, really enjoyed it. Very nice atmosphere, there were barely any people so there was so much space to sit. You should go here just because of Faris.

We were lucky that Sofia's is conveniently attached to the hotel we stayed at during our visit to Edinburgh. We were very hungry after all our travel and soo happy we went to Sofia's for lunch as we walked out with our tummies contently full. The lunch menu has lots of great Lebanese foods to choose from. The atmosphere is bright, cheery and very comfy. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was freshly made (you can see the chef at work behind the counter) with little wait. Everything was delicious and great blend of spices.

Faris and the rest of the staff was amazing, food was spot on and if you are looking for a low key place to try incredible Lebanese food, this is the place!

The food was not originally Arabic … need improvement in taste .. money not worth it . Food get late .. and we didn’t receive the order within good time and order,, we received the salad and the fries with the main dish , not with the starters .. Need to be improved..

We got the half chicken in original sauce, grilled chicken tenders in original sauce, and lamb kebab. Everything was good but the half chicken was dry so would recommend the tenders instead. The original sauce was really tasty! The saffron rice was good but a bit bland.

The receptionist is rude , so I had to leave with my family without even setting.

Sofia’s is a delightful Lebanese restaurant with an amazing menu, terrific atmosphere and super friendly staff, especially our server, Aleeza. Mezze platter is a winner because you get to taste a bit of everything! Exceptional falafels ( moist not like the dry ones in the US), too!

Have been to Sofia's Lounge twice in the last 3 days and the food and service is amazing! They have a large selection of starters, main dishes, plus desserts to die for! They also have a drinks menu that includes cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, milkshakes, hot coffee drinks, etc. Their prices are very reasonable! Both times we were taken care of by Aleeza, our server who was very sweet and professional! I highly recommend Sofia's Lounge if you are ever in Edinburgh!

Regularly order from Uber eats from them :) me and my boyfriend share a mix platter with delicious chicken, spectacular hummus, halloumi fries and sweet potatoes x worth a try !! X

Unfortunately totally disappointed with the Lebanese food. Only the names of the dishes were Lebanese.

We stayed at the Hampton on Fountainbridge and we were amazed by this restaurant. The food is excellent, as was the service (thank you, Hiba!).

Wonderful food and relaxing atmosphere. We loved Hiba’s suggestions on the menu and she even brought out a special treat for our friend’s birthday. We are visiting from the U.S. and this is some of the most delicious Lebanese food we have had.

The best Arabic food we arrived today to Edinburgh with my family and we were looking for food after spending over 2 weeks in Scotland it was very delicious.

Absolutely beautiful food, freshly prepared and cooked in front of us. Everything was lovely and staff were great in explaining what each dish was. Cant wait to go back. Highly recommend and great value

We ordered the lamb shank roast and the veggie stew with Halumi. Both the dishes tasted excellent. I ordered the lamb shanks spicy and excellent and it was prepared spicy according to my request. The manager took our order and ensured the food was prepared according to our specifications and was able to cater to any special request ( additional lamb gravy).

I really loved Kibbeh… I would highly recommend it … unfortunately I discovered this place on my last day in Scotland & was rushed to catch my flight so couldn’t try more dishes… next time hopefully I’ll try more … thanks for your little note and good service 👌

We did have a big table and the service was a little slow to begin with, but the food was fabulous and I would recommend it for everyone.

Pathetic service The entire Edinburgh is accepting the queen notes but this restaurant has a problem. The service is pathetic while the people were having drinks we were told to take away. We wanted to sit and relax and have at hotel but take away we can order from anywhere. I wouldn't advise. While placing the order I was told chicken would come with pita bread so I shouldn't order extra and I received it without bread. I would request everyone first to avoid Hampton hotel and secondly just avoid Sofia. In case you are looking for an awful experience this is the place to dine.

Came in approximately 21:10, restaurant wasn't busy (one table finishing food), and have been told they can't take us in (closing time apparently 22:00). Have been offered takeaway as an alternative, fair enough, so we took the offer. We ordered 2x vegetable moussakas (totalling little over £30) and was deeply disappointed with the taste, namely the acidity of it, as we could barely feel any other flavour than deep sourness. Haven't enjoyed the meal at all, and wasn't able to say anything or change the order, as this was a takeaway, hence doing this here. It's a shame, as visited the place twice previously and food was much better on both occasions.

The restaurant is not worth a visit. The food was less than expected. The orders were Dawud Pasha's kofta (the taste is good, but the quality of the meat is not the same) Moussaka tastes just right Medium spiced

Had the most delicious kofta meshwi here – truly outstanding! The dessert was equally great. The staff are incredibly nice, the place is spotless, and the portion sizes are just right. Highly recommend!
