Amazing food!! Recommend it strongly! Portions are just the right size and not greasy at all! Loved it

Disappointed with this place, expected a lot more. Like Lebanese food so went during the week for lunch as it is halal. Food didn’t really taste fresh and we waited a long time to get it. Wouldn’t recommend this branch, very average and underwhelming

Ordered from here yesterday. Really really tasty regret scrolling past in numerous amount of times but safe to say will be ordering from here again.

Great food but portions are too small. If after spending 24 gbp I am still hungry then why the hell did I come here.

We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, food was excellent, as were the deserts! The Menabrae beer was lovely, first time trying this one! The service from the staff was really good and they were helpful in explaining certain dishes on the menu which I was unsure of. I would definitely go back if I was in Edinburgh again. I had the Sujuk kafta meshwi which came with salad and Safron Rice, and the sticky toffee pudding which was lovely!

Fuimos a cenar puesto que es cómodo alojándote en el hotel. Adjunto factura. En general bien. Lo único que podría decir es que pa ensalada de feta y otro plato que no recuerdo cuál era, venían en unos platos muy pequeños y no podías pinchar con el cuchillo sin que se te callers por otro lado del plato. Lo que hizo que comerse una triste ensalada fuera frustrante y agobiante. La comida rica!

Went with my family after reading a few reviews but was really disappointed with the food! We ordered lamb shank, pan fried prawns & exclusive burger. The rice were stale, tasteless and the lamb shank was also not fresh. Pan fried prawns with rice was a big mistake. It was undercooked & cold while they just put hot sauce on top. Ordered kunfa & thought that might be good but 👎🏻. Kunfa was stale and tasteless its self . They just put loads of rose syrup which was just horrible. Kunfa had bad bad clotted cheese which was 💯 off. Very bad quality food. The only thing that was good was the waitress! Definitely a big NO 👎🏻

I work across the street and love this place! Their lunch special of a main and a side for less than £13 is a great deal since the portions are huge and food so fresh. Grilled chicken or falafel salad with hummus, bread or salad are my go to! The interior is comfy and spacious & staff are lovely. If I lived closer I’d be here all the time - can’t go wrong :)

I found Sofia’s quite by accident, and glad that I did. Salihah gave good advice on the menu & her home made lemonade is delicious. I shall return.

Family were there for a Birthday dinner. The food was fantastic, especially the baba ganoush and broad bean salad. The service was excellent. Just the right mix of friendly and attentive.

I went there with my family, we were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids. The menu looks good, some of the food tastes good as well. Not too happy with their service though, we had several disagreements with one of their servers and she just wouldn’t accept her mistake which I found a bit astounding. No one would really wants to argue over a basket of bread but sometimes it’s about the principle and you can’t outright lie to the customer who’s actually placed the order. Needs some sorting out on that front but overall if you’re in the area and there’s nothing else open around you then it’s worth a visit.

Exceptional food! We had 3 meze items as a sharing starter between us, the hummus was fantastic as were the other dishes! We then had the kefta and the labanese meatballs! Really tasty food, reasonably priced and the service was great!

Tasty and enjoyable Lebanese food with friendly service. My only criticism is that we weren't offered desserts of coffee & no menus on display outside apart from a Christmas special meal.

Great restaurant! Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Food was delivered quickly despite the restaurant being packed. The food was delicious, very well flavoured and good portion sizes.

I was a bit dubious as this place is modern and in the ground floor of a hotel. That said I was here for the food and it was delicious can’t fault it. There was 6 of us and we all enjoyed our meals enormously.

Every time I’m here the food is exceptional. Lovely staff here also.

We were skeptical going in but the platter was phenomenal. We were a big group so the size were perfect and we finished the whole platter. It was delicious and the quality was exquisite. Highly recommended.

This is such a lovely restaurant! Food is amazing, we came on a city break to Edinburgh, and came here both nights for dinner! So many choices on the menu, and the staff were really friendly and were suggesting good places to visits. Special thank you to Salinah who made us feel welcome and her service was brilliant!

Un régal ! Les plats libanais sont délicieux et le restaurant est agréable. Les mezze sont servis dans de belles portions, ce qui permet de partager chaque plat et de goûter d'un peu de tout. Très bon moment passé ici !

We had the Warak-Enab Belzeit(stuffed grape vine leaves)to start, followed by mains of Sofia's Kafta Meshwi(minced lamb skewers with herbs and spices)with Saffron rice and a homemade Lamb Cheese Burger with caramelized onions and a side of Sweet Potato crisps. It was all so very good. Hiba, who served us, patiently answered our questions and was a delight to chat with. We highly recommend Sofia's for great food and an easy, relaxed atmosphere.

I ordered this through one of the delivery apps. I had to post a review on here because their lamb burger, and rosemary salted fries were absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be coming here for a sit-in experience!

This is the best place for Lebanese food in the city. I just moved to this neighborhood, coming from a Lebanese family this is comfort food - extremely authentic and delicious! The staff is always super friendly when I come in and the vibe is great.

On an extended trip, I ended up coming here twice. The food here is outstanding - definitely worth the excursion, especially if you are in the mood for Lebanese food! The quality of the food is above par, the price is pretty good, and the service is excellent. My only concern would be the atmosphere - it is attached directly to a hotel, which isn't necessarily bad at all, but could mean excess noise, too much foot traffic, and the occasional odd period where the restaurant gets packed with those from the hotel. That being said, this place is definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for a great Lebanese meal.

They actually close at 9 if you want to dine in, we arrived today at 9:10 pm and they refused to serve us the food dining in.

Lovely food, Hiba was a great host

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a restaurant. Never do I write a review, but this was so bad I had to! We went for lunch with my wife, the restaurant was empty, had one couple in there. We got sat down and everything seemed ok. When we started ordering we asked about the wings and asked what is the ‘original flavour’ her reply ‘not really sure what it is’ ! Ok fine we move, we ordered the wings with hot flavour and lamb shank and hummus as starter. Hummus was great finished that swiftly! Then came the mains. The wings itself was ok, but they put this watery peri peri sauce all over the plate! It was like a pond with chicken wings. The lamb was cooked well but again watery stew, no flavour. I went and complained to the chef as there was no managers and the waitress was jus incredibly rude. The chef just walked away! Before we got the meal I asked the waitress if we could move table next to the window, but she said no it’s a seating for 5 so don’t want to reset it, the restaurant was bloody empty. Paid £60, couldn’t be asked to get a refund we didn’t eat the food, just one wing and tried the lamb. Only thing good was the hummus. But would never go back! All they had to do is have nice customer service from the beginning and food could be over looked!

We walked in not knowing anything about Sofia’s but we’re absolutely delighted! We didn’t know much about Lebanese food but our server, Hiba, was a great help and gave a lot of great ideas, along with good service. The food was fresh and fantastic! Would highly recommend!

The lunch deal was good value. Main and two sides for a fixed price. Delicious.

We (my wife, our 11m daughter and I) just arrived in Edinburgh and we decided to get some good food for the night. We were served by Mari, which was an absolute pleasure. Not only did she organise done cucumber sticks with hummus for out daughter. She also took her on her arms and showed her the staff, the kitchen and the rest of the beautiful restaurant to let me and my wife finish our delicious meal. The falafel plate, falafel burger and tabuleh were exceptional, but the service was over the top. Thank you so much and I recommend this to everyone that is in Edinburg.

Le restaurant fait partie de l'hôtel Hilton Hampton. Le cadre est assez sommaire mais l'équipe est agréable et serviable. La nourriture est orientale, tendance libanaise. Les plats sont savoureux et généreux. Deux bémols cependant : la plupart des plats sont préparés devant les tables et le cuisinier manipule tous les ingrédients froids à mains nues, ce qui est contraire aux règles d'hygiène élémentaires. Et on le voit s'essuyer les mains sur son pantalon ou encore se curer le nez après avoir placé de la salade dans des assiettes. De plus, il y avait une erreur dans ma commande (plat moins cher servi). Malgré le fait de l'avoir annoncé, j'ai quand même été facturé le produit commandé, c'est à dire plus cher. Bref, il y a des améliorations à apporter pour atteindre la perfection.

Muy cómodo para comer sin salir del hotel Hampton. En la web ponía que no dan comidas, pero hemos ido a las 14 30 y si que estaba abierto. Servicio atento, aunque los platos tardaron en salir y solo estábamos dos mesas. Los platos estaban buenos.

We went for a team dinner (30ppl) booked in advance for a Monday night. The manager was so accommodating during the whole booking process, remembered everything that I had said about our evening plans, the time we had to leave, where we were coming from, the other details about our get-together. It was so attentive! Team were very synchronized, professional, likeable, chatty... All our team left with compliments on the dinner and full bellies. Food was delicious, all came out at the same time (which for 30 people of different orders must've been so difficult). All team were amazing. Slight delay getting dessert out which made us a bit late but nothing catastrophic. Well done Mari, Issy, Kai and Peter, we will all definitely be back 💪👏

Used to be my favourite place to go for food and drinks and snacks, but now the food is mediocre and overpriced. The portion is small, and the meat is not that tender, and not well seasoned
