The lamb leg is very glutinous, and the naan tastes great when dipped in curry. It’s appetizing and requires two servings of naan to be satisfied.

Our waitress Kshitee was lovely. The food was exceptional as well. Didn't taste like any other Indian I've had before. I had the special mocktail. Supee fresh with a little hint of spice. Would definitely be back

Dinner in Chaska was great, especially since I came from London! Kiran was a huge help picking food, and the service was awesome.

Great food, great vegetarian options. Slightly put off by being immediately offered poppadoms and sauces without being told the price (in my experience, they’re free in most places), but other than that, staff were lovely and we really enjoyed our food!

We ordered pudina paneer tandoori as our main dish, accompanied by pilaf rice and mix veg karahi. The curry sauce served with the paneer tandoori was absolutely delicious, but the mix veg karahi was even more flavorful. Ria, our server, was incredibly sweet, courteous, and polite. She went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable dining experience.

The best Indian restaurant we’ve tried in Edinburgh! The Aloo Gobi, Garlic Naan, and Monkfish Tikka were absolutely delicious, with bold flavors and perfect preparation as we wanted. One of the best Indian i have had in a long time.

We have been 4 or 5 times with our kids and we have always been impressed by the quality of the food and the kindness of the waiting staff. We ordered different plates every time and they have always been so tasty (aubergine curry is just amazinggggg).

We heard a lot of praise for the restaurant and it really turned out to be worthy of the praise. We ordered a vegetable samosa that came with a delicious hot and sweet sauce, excellent and creamy chicken tikka masala, veal biryani 10/10, veal curry which was my favorite dish, and naan with cheese and garlic. Delicious once

Lovely food n beer & friendly staff

Chaskaa is a very welcoming place, it has incredible food and service. It is a little walk from the centre, but it’s definitely worth it and you will be thankful for it afterwards because you will need a stroll to work off the massive portions. Food betters competitors like Dishoom on quality and price. A must visit for anyone in Edinburgh.

This is the first visit. It was very nice and the staff were friendly and professional. The food was amazing. What I did like is that the portions are not massive. I prefer it that way to be fair. Overall, it was a very pleasant night out and will certainly return. Thank you.

I’m a local and go here about once a month.The staff always remember me and look after me. The food is excellent. I’ve brought friends here who told me it’s the best Indian restaurant they’ve ever been to. Highly recommend. The staff were beautifully dressed for the Dihwali frstival in traditional attire. . That really added to the ambience.

Sadly very disappointing experience this time, we order form the place quite often. It used to be our favourite Indian takeaway in Edinburgh. In our last order some items were missing and some were wrong, way smaller portions compared to the previous ones and just not the food delivery quality we were used to, especially given the price.

been using Chaskaa since they opened, food consistently fantastic , i went in to collect my takeaway order on Saturday evening, despite having 45 minutes it was not ready, turns out the online ordering system had messed up and they did not have the order, waited 10 minutes and food was ready. Got an email from the restaurant today apologising for the mix up and advising they had added a credit to my account as a goodwill gesture, all businesses have an issue at times but i guess it is how you deal with it that makes a difference, thanks Willie

I’ve fallen in love with Indian food again thanks to this great place. Cannot fault it and huge difference from a lot of Indian restaurants that don’t “try” anymore and are middle of the road. Unlike this place which has pride in what it serves and the experience you get whilst there, thanks

Outstanding delicious curry + great really friendly customer service

I recently ordered from Chaskaa Restaurant, Edinburgh, and I must say it was the worst Indian cuisine I’ve ever had in the UK. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Karahi Paneer, expecting a flavorful and authentic meal. However, both dishes were incredibly disappointing. The Chicken Tikka Masala was completely tasteless, lacking the rich and creamy flavor that this dish is known for. The Karahi Paneer was equally bad, with a stale taste that made it inedible. I ended up throwing both dishes in the bin, as they were simply not worth eating. I was really looking forward to a nice meal, but unfortunately, Chaskaa failed to deliver on even the most basic expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for quality Indian food.

Delicious with friendly service. I love the way they receive me n my husband. We received a a very delicious food with the suggestions of the staff. We loved to visit this restaurant again n again.

Found this Restaurant next door to our hotel, loved it so much we went back two nights in a row. Very good food, excellent service and friendly staff. Banjara lamb was best I’ve ever had. One of the best Indian restaurants I have seen. The mixed grill is my favorite dish, the meat is well cooked, the curry is superb. Definitely a place You can check out.

I visited Chaskaa today and had an incredibly disappointing experience due to the behavior of the manager. From the moment we walked in, the manager was rude and dismissive. Despite having a reservation at 6:30pm, we got the table and were informed to leave it by 8pm at 6:38pm while we were waiting for another friend to join us. Their attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful, completely ruining our dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone until they address their management issues. Lastly when we were ordering some more at 7pm, he loudly asked the waitress "now, what do they want? Take the menus from the table." Then we cancelled the order, paid the bill and left.

No complaints, attentive staff, lovely food

We happened to find this restaurant on Google and decided to give it a try. It was highly rated, and we quickly discovered why. The servers were extremely attentive and checked on us throughout our meal. But it was the food that won us over. Everything was tasty. I highly recommend having a meal here.

One of the best Indian food in Edinburgh. We had dinner with my parents who visited us from India. Even they had very high praise for the food. We had selection for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian courses. Everything was exceptional in taste. Very nice staff as well. Highly recommended if visiting Edinburgh.

Very good traditional Indian cuisine, a little spicy

Nice restaurant in Bruntsfield. Service is attentive (though sometimes excessive, but I would rather have too much attention than none at all!). Drinks were pretty good. Food was absolutely AMAZING. Samosas, Onion Bhaji, Chicken 65 - all delicious. The Murgh Makhanwala is their equivalent of butter chicken - DELICIOUS. Monkfish curry, tadka dal, lamb karahi... Honestly it was all so good. HIGHLY recommend and I hope to go back next time we visit Edinburgh!

The food was amazing but sorry to say the customer service was very poor. When we asked the lady at the restaurant to serve the biriyani as we were struggling to do it ourselves refused to do so. It was absolutely horrendous.

4 of us dined for the first time yesterday, the food was outstanding, full of flavour, different to your normal Indian menu , service was first class and would recommend highly to anyone, definitely would dine again.

I wish my travels brings me back here again! It’s the best food I’ve had in a long time. Suchithra was our waitress and was marvelous.

It has been a magnificent experience. The food is spectacular, the price is an excellent quality-price ratio and the service is great, they have been super attentive with special care to my husband's allergies (which are not few) and they have made us some wonderful recommendations to be able to enjoy a quiet dinner. Walked in here randomly needing a quick sit down lunch alone. The staff and owner were so unbelievably welcoming and kind. Service was exemplary (even warming my dish prior to food arriving). I have been on a hunt for the best biryani and this place did not disappoint. So so yummy! Will come back again with all my friends :)

Had a very satisfying meal here with friends recently. We all enjoyed our food, which was consistently excellent. Would have no hesitation returning.

The restaurant is Indian with a halal logo and the menu is varied. To be honest, the food is delicious, the quantities are good, and the food is prepared fresh, so there is a delay of a couple of minutes. The place is beautiful on the inside and the staff are friendly and helpful in explaining meals and suggesting dishes, especially for children. They are worth a visit and experience, especially since it is close to the city center.
