I ate here a couple days ago. The falafel was the worst I've ever had. It was dry and tasteless. The service were nice. Good staff. But the falafelwrap was so bad I couldn't finish it honestly

I ate the falafel box for £6.95. Falafels were good, houmous a little flavourless, chilli and garlic sauce too sugary and not enough of a fresh flavour. Salad fresh but not the best quality, and not as many elements (eg pickles) as the best options. Rice and chips offered on the side but no fresh breads. Service was very friendly. Restaurant is comfortable with TV playing quietly, but decor is very dated.

The food was very tasty, we sat in and had a mixed kebab. Yummy! But then I went to use the toilet. I have NEVER used a more disgusting loo. There was blood and poo on the toilet roll dispenser, some stuff stuck to the tiles on the wall, just filthy all round. I'm a nurse, so I don't really get the boak from things, cast iron stomach, but this toilet made me want to throw up! I came back to my friends at the table and I was pale and honestly we had to leave straight away because there's no way I was going to vomit in that toilet. Absolutely disgusting!! Get it cleaned up! Environmental health should shut you down because of it.

Lovely food. Lovely service. Chicken shwarma was crispy on the outside and juice and tender on the inside.

The health inspector will be shocked if visit the kitchen and the toilet. I couldn't eat my meal as it was not fresh. Please, improve the cleanliness of the establishment.

8 people came in the same time within 10 minutes we had amazing food at a low price with the perfect atmosphere for a chippy.

Owner is such a kind person. Food is amazing and his hospitality is just out of this world. He is so generous. God bless him. I will definitely drop by if I visit edinburgh again.

The £5 lunch deal for falafel wrap and chips has changed (November 2023). You now get free chips or drink with any main. The mains are now mostly more than £5, but I like the flexibility, for example I prefer a box to a wrap. As so many other people have said, the falafels are really good. So are the fries: they were perfectly cooked. Atmosphere sometimes busy, sometimes very calm. Service is always extremely friendly.

Very expensive, small portions and bad quality. Go to Palmyra instead

Some pickles are missing. Apart from that it was a very good spicy falafel hallumi wrap.

this place was a huge disappointment! if you ever tried the real falafel from any place in the Middle East, do not come here. I took literally one bite and could not finish it. if you never tried falafel and you liked this be sure that this is not the best falafel ever

The falafel wrap was very delicious and freshly made. The owner is also very nice!

The food was ok, i got a wrap and it was very filling but they gave alot on a single bag and the bag ripped and food fell out near the exit, the food was all over the bag and not really enjoyable after that. Also a staff member mixed me up with a Uber eats driver, why would you make that assumption if I've just bought food.

We ordered two falafel wraps and two shawarma, as well as two cheesy chips. Tasted good. Chicken was a little dry in texture. Otherwise, all good. The cheesy chips were very nice.

Was in Edinburgh for a day and found this place off Google when searching for halal near the Waverley station. The gentleman who served me was very friendly and welcoming. He advised me on the lunch deal - a chicken wrap and chicken (perfect choice for a cold day) The tables were clean and neat, the food tasty and filling considering the price (£5 for a lunch deal) and the customer service was excellent. As I was a sit in, I observed regular customers coming in and it’s evident that there’s a good rapport built. Would recommend a visit to locals and people visiting.

The Chef is amazing person and appreciating his hospitality. Moreover he made a customized wrap for me which was yummylicious.

Very nice wee place in the city centre close to the night life, had a great meal and very affordable too for the late time. Big plus, the owner have a LOT OF PATIENCE with loads of poorly behaving kids. Great respect to them working hard

The zinger wrap had very less chicken and too much salad. Mayo and ketchup felt like they'd been diluted with water.

Está todo buenísimo (destaco el hummus y el falafel picante), tienen la cocina abierta todo el día (muy importante para turistas españoles como yo, que comemos a las 15:30) y de precio está genial pero lo que destaco es el trato. El camarero ha sido súper simpático con nosotros, nos ha preguntado por nuestro país y no nos ha puesto problemas en estar un ratito dentro para cobijarnos de la lluvia comiendo. Incluso nos ha regalado un falafel a cada uno. Volveré cada vez que venga por Edimburgo.

Very nice place. The man that served us was very welcoming and friendly, he went out his way to make sure we were happy with our meal. He even brought over a drink and a few bits of falafel which we never ordered. I would certainly go back there again.

Excellents falafels, leur spécialité, et accueil sympathique les 2 fois où j'y suis allée (2 personnes différentes). J'ai pris un wrap et une salade. Ils ont mayonnaise / mayonnaise à l'ail / sauce piquante. Je recommande.

Had the £5 lunch shwarma wrap and chips... Words don't do justice, the chips alone were some of the best we've had, fresh and crispy! The wrap itself was toasted!!!.. extra jalapeños chilli sauce and garlic, the chicken was super crispy and flavourful and the salad fresh... the guys were lovely too making sure we got what we wanted, defo worth a visit!!! Our favourite to date.

Some of the best falafe I have ever had. When I just want something small to eat the £2 falafel balls with hummus is perfect and the owner is so nice as well!

We frequented this place after we'd finish our 10pm shows at Fringe, and the staff are incredibly nice. It was a great late night option with great falafel wraps, cheese fries with curry sauce, onion rings, and chicken shawarma. Highly recommend!

As far as late-night falafel shops go, this was great. Friendly service, decent portion sizes, and tasty sauces. I paid £18 for a falafel salad box, a falafel wrap, a regular portion of chips and two soft drinks. Venue seems pretty clean and hand sanitiser is provided. Great for a quick meal to see you home!

Great little takeaway with seating in Edinburgh. Amazing falafels however you want them. They also do non veg and the chicken strip/bites were very tasty as was the shawarma wrap. Definitely recommended.

Hala Resturant near university of edinburgh , lunch deals are great for 5 pounds and tried it again for dinner was pricy and service is slow took more than 30 mins to get the order right as only one staff during the dinner time Recommend for lunch

We stopped in for food on a busy work day expecting a standard takeaway meal , however what we were given was fantastic. Great food , served by a lovely kind man , I recommend this place to anyone looking for good food , food was cooked well and tasted amazing. We will definitely be back 10/10

We had lunch here yesterday, wondered that there is no Kebap roast, but hoped it’s gonna be fine. We had a Kebap box and a chicken burger with sauce, we ended up having horrible diarrhoea… Bad experience! And we did not eat that there any other place… Better would have listened to my instinct… Mind this place! Get Kebap from fresh roast!

Doesn’t look much from outside but couldn’t fault the friendly, busy guy serving. Very good, patient service as some of the party didn’t speak English. Food was great. Very tasty, authentic and extremely good value. Definitely recommend!

It was well worth the walk from the museum to this place for our lunch. We’re warmly welcomed and the food was make fresh for us while we waited. The wraps and the salad was good. We even got a few extra falafel.

This place is a bit hit and miss, I've had some good food but some mediocre food. Also have had wrong food been given but not realized till I got home. If it could fix the small errors and keep the food to a consistent good standard I'd happily have give it a higher rating.

I am sorry to say but food was so bad, I ordered falafal wraps without salad but my wrap was full with all the salads. My food was not up to the mark at all as it was bit overcooked and smelly. I cant even think of giving another chance. I am sorry 😞

Lovely fresh food - eat a lot of falafel and this is one of the best wraps I've had. They have a lunch deal which is £5 for a wrap and chips between 12:00 and 15:00, very very good value! Served by a very nice chatty man and will definitely be back.

Once again I visited this establishment and I was not disappointed, the food was really good and the staff were excellent. Chris who works during the day is very helpful and friendly and in the evening the owner cannot do enough to make your visit and the food just spot on. I would recommend this place to anyone for a late night takeaway or sit in on the way home from the pub keep up the good work.
