We booked this family run hotel for a funeral tea for my brother. Having never been before we dropped in for a visit, and were warmly welcomed by the owners, we were given reassurance about the day and could tell that they have experience in this type of event. We were not disappointed the food was warm and plentiful. We were all well looked after, the atmosphere relaxed. nothing was too much trouble. We appreciate everything that was done to help us on this sad and stressful day. I would like to go back one day in happier circumstances.

Was driving past and seen Gilmerton branch finally open again! Stopped and bought couple of pizzas and kids meals for children, food was freshly repaired didn’t wait long, big boss gave us some doner meat to try which was banging!! Keep up the hard work guys! Definitely worth the £££!!

* 🚨🚨 DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RESTAURANT 🚨🚨 Today I made an order threw just eat. This was for 2x rollover hotdogs, nachos chocolate covered strawberries and a milkshake. There was no strawberries in stock so they did call and swap it for something else which I appreciate however when the order arrived I went to open the milkshake and there was some type of bug crawling on the inside of the cup. I immediately called the restaurant who tried to say it was sprinkles but I reassured them it definitely was a bug. They agreed to send a fresh milkshake out however I changed my mind as luckily I had money off the order to begin with and I felt sick to my stomach after finding the bug. I don't tend to order anything else from their store other than the items above as there desserts aren't very nice but after today I would definitely not be going again 🤒🤮

We just had their lemon chicken, chow mein, chicken fried rice and side dishes. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend this place. Food came quickly and was hot and fresh. Thank you Star Garden. 5/5

The best fish and chips by far.

Apparently open till 11. On numerous occasions I have attempted to get take away or walk ins and it’s closed. Either be open or not. Plenty choices, in local area. Don’t expect service in working hours. Just pre empt disappointment

Very tasty food and friendly service.

Spent £45 on a takeaway. One dish was wrong , one dish missing, one is basically potatoes and pineapple in a bland sauce. Called to complain and man shouted abuse down phone and hung up. Disgusting behaviour and bad food. Save your money and avoid this shop.

Took grandkids here for a quick lunch before cinema. We had all been before and, generally, have enjoyed the food here. However, on this occasion, something was not quite right. The toasties ordered were over cooked to the point where bread crusts were too hard, bordering on burnt and cheese had gone brittle, way beyond any melting point. We should have returned them but were pressed for time (our fault) and ate what bits we could. The place was very busy but that shouldn't be a reason for sending out over cooked, dry toasties.

Two holiday cover managers, one from Cramlington and one from Pollok both of whom were very friendly and attentive. Lovely meal with family.

Worst Indian if your wanting water downed curry chips were fresh out the freezer garlic nan was like warbuurtons loaf bread

I bought a large pizza at this place for the first time but unfortunately it was not tasty at all But because I was hungry, I had to finish the pizza to some extent It had a very special bad taste when I ate it, it was as if there were seeds on my tongue I think Domino's pizzas are much better than here But I don't know how the rest of the food tastes, maybe it's delicious, but the pizza was not tasty at all
