We ordered a mixed Special Hummus Shawarma Chicken Hummus Shawarma Lamb ( £31.99 ) platter fir two people and added the Beirut Garlic Sauce and Chicken Wings. It took about an hour for the order to arrive. We had ordered the wings as an extra because we were really hungry. The mixed hummus Sharwarma chicken platter was enough to be honest. We didn’t even get to eat the rice and had to leave the chicken wings for the following day. The whole platter was well put together. The hummus was tasty and all the meat also tasted fresh. We will definitely order from here again.

Never been disappointed when I visit the Bakehouse. Service is always friendly, quick and the quality of food excellent. Would recommend the homemade soup

Right after landing in Scotland, it was a pleasure to stay at Premier Inn East Falkirk. Nice dinner served by a friendly staff member who advised us on good places to visit. And, of course, a great breakfast. A good start with (well-anticipated) mingling with the Scots.

Best Chinese I've had in Falkirk for ages. The fried rice tastes exactly like how fried rice used to taste and the curry was excellent. Good sized portions and very tasty plus very polite service and quick delivery.

Just awful we waited 45 minutes for the food. I ordered chicken balmoral what I got was charred chicken breast that had been seared to death making it really tough. The haggis was served on top of the chicken and was mushy. The dish was nothing like chicken balmoral I don't know who there chef is but I could do better. My husband and daughter in law ordered the steak pie the pastry was half cooked and the filling too salty. We will never eat there again.

After 4 family members completed a charity run we headed to Beancross for lunch. We phoned ahead and booked for 13. 10 adults and 3 children. When we arrived we were impressed by the restaurant. We waited a while to be shown to our table while staff were chatting. Once seated we waited a while to be brought menus that were grubby and had seen better days. It took ages to come and take our drinks orders and even longer to bring them. Glasses were dirty and we requested they were changed. We then waited another 15 mins before our food order was taken. I ordered a sandwich and requested brown bread. I was told they only had white but our waiter would ask the chef. Another long wait until the food arrived. Some of our party had also ordered sandwiches and were served brown bread while I'd requested brown and was given white. When I queried the response was "you can swap'. Not easy when others had started eating. The white bread was stale. The inside of the sandwich, tuna and cucumber hadn't been buttered and the little tuna on it was in the middle leaving nothing around the edge of the sandwich. There were also a few wrong orders which had to be sent back. No one enquired while we were eating if the food was ok. No one came over when we'd finished eating to clear the table and ask if we wanted desserts or more drinks. We even had to chase the bill. The service was awful. A young team of waiting staff who were more interested in chatting than serving customers. The restaurant wasn't very busy so that probably says a lot about the place. We spoke to a waiter when leaving and told him how disappointed we were. He said he'd pass this on. Beancross you need to up your game. Training for staff would be a good starting point. My advice avoid at all costs.
