Cadgers Brae Brewers Fayre in Falkirk

Food very poor. Came out cold only thing that was warm was the eggs so it’s been sat on the pass. Things missing from menu. Staff seem unhappy you pay £ 1.79 and get half a pot of peppered sauce.

I use to go all the time but now it's just a case of ask for a table and unless your a worky or staying at the hotel you can't get a table can't go for the breakfasts or anything been like this a few months now wht a joke it's Turing into

They don't take walk-in appointments unless you are staying at the Premier Inn so be warned before you make the trip over as we did. Would be helpful to know this advance or even a sign on the door would be appreciated to save people waiting...

Very quiet place, remember when it was a very place.

I had Dinner here tonight, first visit, nice friendly helpful staff etc. I had the mixed Grill which should on presentation have been 9/10 but I'm giving it 7/10, as a Qualified Chef I'm not easy to cook for but the steak wasn't cooked properly, it wasn't best quality and it definitely wasn't seared before it was cooked as it was dry with little flavour and sadly the meal was served on a cold plate which is a huge no no and the cost of the meal was about £3 over where I feel it should be but nevertheless I knew the price before ordering.

I don't know what it's like recently, as have not been in a year or two. But sad to hear of its closure, as we were regular customers when the kids were younger, as it was always very child friendly, and offered decent food, decent portions, at decent prices. Plus the huge soft play area was always a hit with the little ones. The locale itself was large, comfortable and welcoming, with a very good bar area. Praying for all the hard working and loyal staff who will imminently be out of a job, may they all find employment with a more reliable employer than Whitbread.

Lot of baloney; half restaurant empty; staff chatting amongst themselves and they won't let people not booked at premier inn as they are 'understaffed I don't mind waiting longer I just want food after all-day on the road if they won't take people in they gonna loose money. Honestly Ramsey would have a lot of fun turning that dead place upside down.

Just been told we couldn't get a table as we're not guests at Premier Inn.The place was empty and they said they didn't have enough staff.All we wanted was something to eat. Won't be going there again

Can't fault this restaurant at all. Good hearty meals and a very reasonable price. Staff were lovely.

The food is expensive for the size of the portions and the quality is not spectacular either. But to spend an afternoon having something simple and for the children to enjoy at the Softplay is wonderful. The cleanliness and maintenance of the site is good and the treatment of the waiters is great. We have been several times and we will return for sure!

Plenty of staff chatting among themselves and on phones. Taking my order was like pulling teeth. One other couple in the front, the atmosphere was non existent. Directed to a self help drinks machine that didn't have my ordered drink. Staff were sarcastic and considering one other couple around the front area there was a dirty dinner knife on the floor i noticed when going to the toilet which was dirty and out of the loo roll in all the cubicles. Shame because the food itself was actually very good. But overall not a place I'll ever visit again, big disappointment for a Brewers Fayre.

It is the best place to spend time as family with small kids. Place is very much kids friendly! Great relaxed atmosphere.

It's ridiculous that they charge you £4.50 for soft play on top of you paying for a meal with it

Came here for lunch with family. Lovely atmosphere and staff all very friendly. Brilliant lunch deal of 2 main courses for £11.49. We both had the smothered chicken which was delicious and a very generous portion. Great value for money. We added on dessert for just £2.99 which was a large portion and amazing! Will definitely be going back!!

Early morning car breakdown,desperate for a breakfast, Cadgers Brae ,Brewers Fare to the rescue .

Sat down and got back up again and walked out, You know, when you get a feeling something just isn't right, that was there I have no idea why It just didn't sit right this time Will try again at some point

Food and service very good it just lacked a bit of atmosphere which was probably due to it being very early on a Saturday lunchtime.

Haven't been here for years, our normal place was full so took a chance on this, pleasantly surprised at how good the food was, recollections were it was just ok, but as said it was pretty decent and young jack was really nice, were pretty hard on service and can be quite demanding in what we expect, we will return again, decent food and nice service, not special in any way, value for money

Just had coffee here but no issue at all, comfy chairs, good atmosphere and friendly staff.

I ate here numerous times over the past few weeks and it never disappointed. I had my breakfast and dinner here and the staff were superb, always upbeat and helpful (especially Jack). I hope to return again in the near future

The food is good, staff are always friendly and chatty, particularly Jack who was very interested in the course I was doing at the time haha. Makes for a very friendly chilled out atmosphere.

Staff always welcoming and friendly and remember regular customers. Never had a bad meal here. Of the brewers fayre in area I rate this as the best. Five stars to Jack tonight for his helpfulness friendliness and attention to detail

Jack was extremely helpful and we think he has the best service we have had at a brewers. The manager was fantastic too and even complimented my coka cola Christmas jumper. The food was good and hot on arrival, a little slow to the table but other than that good quality.

Our server Jack was very attentive and helpful. Food was lovely and menu had a good selection of options for everyone in the group.

Was good but my last fish ran away .. a Was greetin .. pure depressed gutted deflated .. contemplated therapy but came to the realisation a wiznae getting my fish back.. ps. Get new butter that Irish thing I want an apology for. All in all therapy aside was awrite.

This is the food you'd expect from a Brewers Fayre, very acceptable selection. This Brewers Fayre has great service and nice atmosphere. This is the best place to eat if you are staying at Travelodge or Premier Inn, easy walk from both.

I've been here working for several weeks now staying in the Premier inn and also eating is this pub... after sampling a fair bit of the menus is great I thought I'd give this 1 an extra 👍👍. Smothered platter with an ungrade steak... outstanding and served by the always friendly jack.... definitely worth a try if your feeling hungry...

We enjoy coming to Cadgers Brae. we come weekly. Jack is the perfect host and he always remembers our drinks - what a great memory. He works hard to keep the tables clean for the next customers. . It's also warm and inviting.

Other half wanted to treat me to a meal out, worse thing we done, appears to have changed ownership, wouldn't recommend, the food was awful chips were like Crisps overcooked with no filling apart from oil, Club sandwich fried egg was almost raw and 3 miserable pieces of chicken on it and a very small piece of bacon, the bread was wafer thin and overall it was so dry couldn't eat it, who puts fried egg on a Club sandwich apparently the waitress said its a new chef owners are English. Won't be back.

Good place to go for food and good prices. We went specifically because of the soft play to be told when we got there that it was closed down! Sat and had a nice meal but wouldn't have travelled out knowing there was no soft play.

Food was held to a high quality and standard. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium and was very succulent. Staff was very friendly and courteous while always being engaging and helpful.

Went for my grandaughters 6th birthday. Food was awful, wait time was awful, was ridiculous expensive for what tasted like a microwave meal. I'm actually being generous giving 1 star

We were staying at the Travelodge nearby and this restaurant was in easy walking or driving distance. We went for dinner over 2 days whilst staying at the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and really make the place. The food is great value but it is not anything special but the items we ordered were cooked well, were tasty and were filling. If you want great value food and a warm welcome this place offers it. Only complaint I have is the mayonnaise sachets were almost impossible to open, partner succeeded where I failed but I would prefer a bottle.

We were looked after by Jack, who was behind the bar, lovely welcome, very knowledgeable about food items and allergies, customer care 10/10, Jack is an asset to Brewsters, lovely smile and genuinely interested in his customers.

Good service from the Bar. The 'hot dog ' that my grandson chose from the adult menu was actually 2 ordinary big sausages in a hot dog roll not the hot dog he was expecting but the chips were good. Great play area, reasonably priced, next to the dining area.

Food took over 1 hour to come out and when it did come out the food was cold, chicken was overcooked,dried out and burnt, the steak was like a piece of dried out leather, chips were children's meals had parts missing from the plate (sweetcorn and only carrot sticks instead of veg sticks) when mentioned to staff they wasn't to bothered. We visited this restaurant last year and had great food and service. Unfortunately the same can't be said this time. We will find somewhere else to eat while staying next door.

My Rump Steak was OK. My partner's fish wasn't good and was really slimy

Staff again make the place, the food isn't anything special but then I don't think people expect special from these places. The food is relatively cheap and it shows. The chicken I ordered with my burger was somewhat overdone and the bread the burger came in was borderline stale. I hate those sauce sachets you get that are impossible to open, I much prefer bottles of sauce. Over all, Staff great, food ok.

Breakfast wasn’t that good, the hash browns where dried out and hard and didn’t have a good selection of hot foods. Wont be rushing back

Not the most exciting place to eat, fairly tasteless fish pie and not the cheapest.

Great for keeping kids entertained when having dinner with the soft play there . Food was ok , couldve been better . I had nachos, luke warm, cheese was cold and rubbery and lack of it as well . Chipoptle chips were nice but overly powered with just sauce.

Nice little pub very cosy and clean ,great selection of nicely cooked food tasted great ot was very busy when we went in so had to wait a little for hot foods and cups for tea but it was OK staff very attentive to refilling had a great brekkie all you can eat for 9.99 for everything and 7.99 for just continental would recommend if your in the area sets you up for the day of sightseeing

Great family pub right next door to premier inn, this is where you have breakfast if staying at premier, good lunch and dinner menu all at reasonable prices, friendly and helpful staff, definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

Popped down for a quick meal. Alot of dishes weren't available due to delivery issues but still a decent selection of food available. Staff friendly and polite, meals came hot and tasty

Travelled all the way from plymouth for a family event and stayed in a hotel close by, was recommended to try here for their breakfast They did not dissapoint in anyway the staff were very friendly and polite especially the male shift manager, the food was really good and they had a good variety to choose from. Prices were good and the venue was very clean and welcoming. I would definatly go here again if I Travelled back. Thankyou

Great Pub, food and drink very reasonable. Helpfully pleasant staff, we managed to get a table easily. This Pub is near several hotels, so it can get busy.

We had a lovely breakfast experience at Cadger’s Brae last weekend. The restaurant was warm and welcoming. The friendly staff checked for dietary requirements and were able to meet mine without batting an eyelid! This makes such a difference to your dining experience when you do have a dietary requirement, so thank you. Nothing was too much bother. We’ll definitely be back soon - you should go too!

Says a lot for a review that there is only pros from my family and NO cons!! Choice of food - something for everyone, young or old! Atmosphere - relaxed/warm and happy Staff - ALWAYS smiling/helpful and polite and will go that extra mile without hesitation!! Price/value for money - extremely good !! I am a person who basis what I do or where I go normally on reading reviews and if your reading my review then I have to say you won’t be disappointed if you venture to Cadgers Brae for a breakfast/Lunch/Dinner or just a tea or coffee !!

The food is above average with excellent drinks and very friendly staff. The menu is limited, and sometimes small portions and over salted dishes bring down the food. The staff are always eager to help and drinks menu is excellent and cant be faulted with plenty range and amazing quality.

A decent Brewers Fayre, good value and a good selection of breakfast items.
