We have been coming to this namesake Horseshoe Inn for 40+ years. The new owners have brought a fresh approach and it didn't disappoint. Lovey, friendly staff who wanted to be there and help the customer; nothing was too much bother. Food is gastro pub, very tasty and good sized helpings. I would most certainly recommend and we will be back..

This shed is miles down a single track road, in a beautiful setting but hardly in a commuter belt. It is so well stocked. Cakes - so many to choose from, hot and cold drinks, ice cream, fudge tablet. The caravan park further down the road must help with trade, but it is a great place and I hope it continues to flourish and the baker continues to bake (Oh and the cakes and tablet were fab).

Love this place great home made food. This is a favourite stop off when up this way. Fab cheese burgers and lots of cakes. Not only food, but garden centre, gifts & sheds. Will be back again soon.

I was just passing through and stopped here for breakfast, what a find! Two breakfast rolls (one with two fillings) and a large americano, only £7.50 and absolutely delicious! Lovely ladies working there. Food is to-go. They also do cold rolls, paninis, chips, macaroni etc

Open-air beer garden, with wooden tables (a little small) but the place is worth it, I ordered 2 beers, the waiters were very nice, knowing that we were foreigners. The music they play is very lively. I recommend it to you, when you are in town in passing.

Really popular place on the main road in Inverary, and as soon as you eat the food you'll see why. They managed to seat us without a booking within about ten minutes, five people from 14 to 50. The menu is really good, not too many options so you know they can prepare the food fresh for you. The cafe is part of a hotel too and although we only had food I'd certainly consider staying in future. Between us we had soup, burgers, steak sandwich and avocado sandwich... all absolutely delicious and huge portions, especially the open sandwiches. The staff were really cheerful and helpful. The toilets clean and easily accessible. They have a relatively large indoor area but also some tables in the garden at the back. Tip... there is ample parking behind the restaurant so you can avoid the main street and then walk through the garden to the back of the place.

This weekend myself and a group of friends decided to visit Kilmartin. On a day trip we wanted too visit Tayvallich located just a half-hour drive away. The village itself was picturesque, setting high expectations for our visit. Upon arrival at the Tayvallich Inn, we inquired about bringing in our dogs and were told it was permitted. We duly went to the bar to order a drink from Pedro the bar employee and were told the tables were reserved . We stated it is only 5.30pm and they are reserved for 6.45pm our intention was to have only one drink and vacate the table in plenty of time. He stated they are for regulars and they will arrive early, therefore we couldn’t ! Pedro unpleasantly insisted that we move to the tables that were available outside. We then duly moved outside and re entered the bar to get the drinks and he showed anger and a very unwelcome attitude, with a result we decided to leave. This lack of clear communication and Pedro's attitude led to disappointment, as the group felt that a simple explanation could have preserved their experience. Ultimately, we have decided against returning or recommending the Inn, highlighting a missed opportunity for the establishment to showcase better Scottish hospitality.
