Brambles Guest House in Argyll & Bute

Really popular place on the main road in Inverary, and as soon as you eat the food you'll see why. They managed to seat us without a booking within about ten minutes, five people from 14 to 50. The menu is really good, not too many options so you know they can prepare the food fresh for you. The cafe is part of a hotel too and although we only had food I'd certainly consider staying in future. Between us we had soup, burgers, steak sandwich and avocado sandwich... all absolutely delicious and huge portions, especially the open sandwiches. The staff were really cheerful and helpful. The toilets clean and easily accessible. They have a relatively large indoor area but also some tables in the garden at the back. Tip... there is ample parking behind the restaurant so you can avoid the main street and then walk through the garden to the back of the place.

Incredible food, we were so impressed and the waiting staff were lovely. Great quality and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, with a warm welcome, great food and super service. The burger was delicious as was the crab brioche. Soup as a side was perfect on a rainy day.

Food good when we eventually got it. Service was poor even though there seemed to be plenty of staff to cope. Took at least 25 minutes between ordering the food and it actually being brought to our table.

This was one of my most beautiful places I’ve visited in a long while. I was greeted by the lovely reception staff and felt very welcomed. I was then served by kane who truly understands the customer needs. The soup of the day was phenomenal on this cold winters day. I will certainly be coming back and bringing the family to experience this level of customer service. Kanes efficient and polite demeanour made it such a pleasant and pleasurable experience.

We are regulars at Brambles and always enjoy our visits.. However I'm sorry to say it was slightly spoiled by the attitude of a staff member who spoke to us in a very dismissive and condescending manner when we asked if a particular item was available that day and then turned and pointed at the blackboard and said.... That's what's on! I do need to say the food we had was delicious but maybe a little staff training on customer care would not go wrong with that particular staff member as the others are really nice and this is the first time we have had any issue. We will be back as I have already said the food is delicious.

Lovely place for a delicious lunch. We both had the tomato soup followed by a slice of amazing apple and bramble pie. Staff so friendly and helpful.

The coffee and food were amazing, with great sausage rolls and an incredible selection of cakes and pastries. All the staff were exceptional bar one, we found her persona dismissive and unwelcoming. We enquired about takeaway food and drinks, we didn't know the ordering process or if we were to wait inside for our items. The waiter was an older lady who was patronising and standoffish. When we enquired about takeaway soup her response was "It WILL be lentil soup but it's not on" condescendingly, another colleague intervened and explained the time the soup was served (as we didn't know this), and the colleague was happy to serve us the soup 15minutes earlier than "advertised." For being such a small town with a limited tourist flow we would anticipate that shops would want to retain as many customers as possible, this was not the case and I would not return; which is unfortunate as the majority of staff and the standard of food was high. There were roughly 10 individuals in our group who all experienced the same manner as this person. One of the group found a small plastic "tube" in their soup however we had left Inverary upon its discovery.

Very nice cafe and very busy. Great coffee. Some had to wait outside for a table. Lovely cakes. Nice bagels and nachos. Well worth a visit.

We visited this wonderful cafe every day of our long weekend away as the cafe was so welcoming and the quality of the food excellent. The service from every individual was outstanding, getting a good balance between professional and friendly, and they could not do enough to accommodate my partner and I with our young dog and 10 week old baby.
