The Square Peg Sandwich Bar in Argyll & Bute

Great breakfast spot on our way to the ferry - bacon sandwich and a drink for £4. Tasty and tremendous value. We didn’t buy any, but the cakes looked delicious. Lunch/sandwich menu is long and varied.

Been loving their cranberry and brie rolls for decades. Very sorry to hear The Square Peg is to close a Lochgilphead institution - hopefully the sandwich bar will remain open.

Great service. They make lovely coffee and hot and cold sandwiches. The shop is really 3 in 1 as it has a gift shop and a toy and card shop on either side. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Love this wee takeaway which we always visit when we are in the area. Great selection of rolls, sandwiches, salads, soups etc and I love their chai lattes! Very reasonably priced with friendly, helpful staff.

Spontan für zwei Kaffee zum mitnehmen angehalten und direkt von dem süßen Gebäck in der Auslage verzaubern lassen und hier auch noch zugegriffen. Man schaut direkt in die Backküche hinein. Wenn mit so viel Liebe gebacken wird, greift man gerne zu! Kartenzahlung möglich! Kaffee ebenfalls sehr lecker!

Lovely little takeaway cafe. Very friendly cheery staff. I tried one of their paninis and it was incredible, sadly I can't remember which one - perhaps the bacon and brie? Coffee was decent and they were more than happy to serve me it in my own reusable thermal cup which was nice.

Come here every year and visit the sandwich bar daily when I’m here. Great food and lovely staff.

Proper coffee, sandwich and cake stop ... and all very reasonably priced for the quality. Quite a few large car spaces outside so you can get multiple motorbikes in the one space. Can you just book the good weather again for my next visit? Ta!

Lovely gift shop, with lots of beautiful of Scottish knick knacks. Little coffee shop beside also lovley staff. Worth a nose, you'll find something you never knew you needed!
