We've just had lunch there. Fantastic. A well balanced menu. Super food, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely eat there again.

What a great little find! The food was out of this world. A small establishment with a tiny open kitchen but the taste was huge! We'll definitely be back again when in the area!

We came across Lullabelles on a day trip while on holiday around the area and all I can say is wow wow wow. We were a party of 5 and not all seafood lovers and the menu catered for everyone. If you want exceptional and excellent food - look no further than!

This place is tucked away at the end of the high street we booked unbeknown to us it was Lebanese night it was fantastic the chef came out to see us the night lace is fantastic highly recommend

Was very excited to have a good seafood experience but only got disappointment. The menu written outside the restaurant was not even an option: The "specials" did not exist. The dinner menu we got was quite poor and 2 out of 4 dishes we ordered were awful and overpriced. The other two were just OK. The "double fried", as stated in the menu, fries were absolutely raw. The sushi was not edible as the rice was dry and old like it was cooked many days ago. In our opinion, even the sushi from coop is better. The atmosphere was not bad and the service good. However the place had such a strong smell of fried oil that it remained on our clothes.

All the cafes were packed out in Tarbert, and this wee gem popped up. The seafood platter, meat and cheese platter, tapas, Caesar salad and chips were spectacular! Every bite was devoured by a hungry crowd. Great atmosphere, great service and great food.

Visited last night after an unexpected overnight stay in Tarbert. The food was beautifully prepared and cooked. Interesting menu with us choosing the Malaysian Street Food and various tapas. The 4 of us enjoyed every dish. Good selection of beers, wines and cocktails. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to return. Dog friendly too. Our Golden was made very welcome.

Lovely lunch as always with the family, kids aged 9-18 and there really is a choice for all I had the shrimp tostada which was to die for Other meals had where the Beet go on smogasar, hummus, cheese board and twice fried chips 🤤 Fantastic staff and service Chef Cathy outdid herself again

Absolutely brilliant lunch. Great decor and atmosphere. Really friendly and helpful staff with excellent service. We all (3 of us) had different mains -crab, smoked mackerel, scallops- all fresh and beautifully presented. All at a reasonable price. They really deserve to do well.

I hadn't been back for a few years, but new the food was delicious. Brought my sister Easter week and we were very impressed with the new (to us) seafood tapas menu. We loved the Cantonese Langoustines, Thai Mussels, and Scallop Ceasar Salad and the wine and cocktail options were lovely as well. We finished with herbal tea and one of their cocktail themed desserts. An exciting place to find in Mid-Argyll!

After reading the reviews we decided to book a table. We had read about the themed street menu, but we were unsure which bit of the menu it was. I asked the waitress and was told that what was on the paper was what they had. We struggled to know what to order but chanced a fish platter and another main with chips. The fish was beautiful, and the fish platter could have served 2 people quite easily. However, the service was very slow and even after we had paid, our plates were still on the table. We usually have a dessert but decided to just pay and go home for coffee. The languistines were beautiful but it would have been nice to have a finger bowl instead of going to the loo to wash our hands. The serviettes were very small too! We were disappointed that there were no local beers even though the website had said local beers are sold and the Moretti was served without a glass. It didn't seem right to swig it out of the bottle here. Overall, the food was lovely, although I would have liked the option of a hot dish or two. Also, it is usual to be offered the bill for checking before paying. Lots of niggles, sorry, did we just hit a bad night?

We have been staying in tarbert for about a week now and we have been to lulabelles countless times over the week, i can’t explain how amazing the food and atmosphere here is, the seafood is the freshest fish we’ve ever eaten, and the cocktails are outstanding, the atmosphere is outstanding, one of the nights we went there was live music and also amazing decoration everything just comes together beautifully. Cathy is so lovely and welcoming, she cares a lot about her customers and always wants to know what they’re up to, we felt so welcoming and the food was gorgeous. Will definitely be coming back!

We were staying in Clachan for a few days, and really struggled to find seafood places to eat, out of season. We came across this place and so glad we did. Food was outstanding, generous portion size and the fish was as fresh as fresh can be. Lovely friendly service. Would thoroughly recommend.

A relaxed ambiance slightly on the gothic side (It is halloween week) I tried the local beer (Argyll) and had a Poached Egg Rosti with spinach and a fresh Hollandaise. Very pleasant meal and certainly one I'll have again.

Terrible service from an unpleasant owner who seems to think she had a god given right to judge others. If as she told me most of her staff had covid she should have been closed. It was obvious from the start she wasn't going to make enough money from us as we only wanted coffee and cake at 3.15 in the afternoon. We left and went elsewhere. We had not put up a bad review at the time but when I said a month or two later that it was less than welcoming she turned really nasty and had us banned from the Tarbert Facebook page as her pal was the admin. Just for criticising her cafe/bistro. When my friend posted a poor review she said "From out point of view we are delighted that you won't be back. Your £6 revenue is just not worth the rudeness we experienced from you and your friend. You were in the wrong, take a step back and think about more positive things in life you may surprise yourself ". At the time I was too upset to take it any further but now several months later I want to respond. We were not rude even when you told us to go to another cafe as we only wanted coffee and cake which would have been about £12. The fact you mentioned this just shows that you are greedy and only wanted to serve folk that you can make a profit from. You also had us banned from the Tarbert Facebook page just for criticising your service. Finally the whole "judgement about taking a step back and looking at our lives is totally insulting. What you didn't know was that my friend had brought me down to Tarbert as it was my birthday and to celebrate the fact that I had just undergone and survived a year of gruelling operations and treatment for cancer. So understandably he was upset that you were so unpleasant when he wanted to treat me to coffee and cake. I have waited to respond to your piece of self satisfied vitriol but after several months felt that I could not let it go. I hope that you will have a look at yourself and will not be so quick to judge two strangers who only wanted to have coffee and cake and a pleasant afternoon. One day you may also have a cancer diagnosis and if you do I hope that you do not encounter anyone as self opinionated as yourself. Your food maybe good, the reviews are excellent but sadly your personality is sadly lacking.

We visit Tarbert regularly but have just discovered Lulabelle's. A great find! Lovely atmosphere and creative decor, friendly staff, delicious food. An interesting and varied menu, we both enjoyed a bouillabaisse which was really good, and a good sized plateful! Would recommend, and we'll certainly be back next time we're in Tarbert!

We stumbled across this little gem whilst staying at Portavadie. We ventured across the water to Tarbert for lunch and a wander. What luck - today was the launch of their Autumn / Winter menu. Alpine lodge is the theme! My hub tucked into Bouillabaisse whilst I opted for the Raclette. Both out of this world. Washed down with the house Rose and Loch Fyne IPA! We then indulged in the deconstructed Toblerone Cheesecake….. a veritable feast. Food was amazing, ambiance and decor delightful and staff so helpful and friendly. We WILL return ❤️

Place is excellent nice and relaxed atmosphere when we were there for late lunch/dinner. The food was on another level great, the sea food platter was👌. Great to see they source as much as possible locally including fantastic alcohol. Staff where friendly and happy to answer questions about local alcohol etc.

We had a meat&cheese platter and a seafood platter. What can I say? It was just phenomenally delicious. And anyway, the restaurant is quite different to others. It is no standard, no one fits all. Apparently, the owner like dark colours. Lots of black and purple was used on the interior. In some way this ambience supports the food in a positive way. Amazing. Along with friendly and attentive service the stay at the Lulabelles will be a great experience for you as well

I had the open crab sandwich, and my partner had the moules with rustic bread. Both dishes were superb. In fact, my partner said that the moules were the best he had ever tasted as so fresh. Lulabelles in Tarbert Argyll is an absolute gem of a restaurant. From the moment you step into the small, cosy space with its beautiful dark-themed decor, you know you're in for a treat. And let me tell you, the seafood platter is nothing short of amazing. The freshness of the seafood is evident in every bite, with the smoked mussels and scallops being particular highlights. And don't get me started on the potted squat lobster - the portion was generous and absolutely delicious. The bread was also fresh and filling, the perfect accompaniment to the seafood. The waiting staff at Lulabelles were friendly and attentive, with a charming new waiter who was very helpful. And I have to mention the toilets - beautifully decorated and extremely clean, a sign of the attention to detail that runs throughout the entire establishment. Overall, I can't recommend Lulabelles enough. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to pay them a visit - you won't regret it. Five stars all around.
