The best restaurants in Moira Lisburn South Eastern NI

I had the pleasure of dining at Origin 101 for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. The ambience was absolutely charming, the food superb, the waitstaff very professional and Kelsey, the proprietor very welcome and accommodating. If only I lived in Moira, I would return often. As it was, I asked her to consider opening a second location in Connecticut. One can only hope.

This is a very nice cafe just off main Street in Moira. Lovely selection of pastries available in chiller cabinets. The cheesecake was amazing! I will definitely visit again anytime I am in the area.

Excellent homemade Tunisian food with a great decor. It takes me back to Tunisia. BYOD too. I highly recommend this authentic restaurant.

Carthago is a gem. Food is fabulous. Fresh. Different. Beautifully cooked. Thoroughly recommended. Visit, you will not regret it.

Closed without warning. Reserved a table online for father's day and received a confirmation email. Arrive to find the place closed with no sign, no explanation, and no attempt made to contact me. Now having to find a last minute table on a very busy Sunday.

unbelievable pizza and staff are first class too

Service…….there was none. A lot of young staff Service, there was a lot of young staff standing around the hotel each wedding to use standing around the till each waiting to use it. Told I could NOT order at the counter and that there were tables in front of me, even tho a member of staff had assured me he was sending someone down to take my order. I was there with my Father who is 92 years old and had to walk out and find somewhere else. I was informed by a member of staff on the way out “this is just how our Saturdays are”, I think 🤔 more staff would be required as it’s very off putting when you just want to order and see a lot of young staff standing chatting and having a laugh. Won’t be back 😡😡😡

More hit than miss. The cheesecake and oat cookie were both really good. 5 star stuff as was the sausage roll. The rhubarb tart tasted fermented and wasn't pleasant to eat at all. A 2 at best for it. Overall I'd certainly go back.

Absolutely loved this place. Was here for a surprise party. Great atmosphere. Staff were truly brilliant. I really enjoyed myself. I will definitely be back.

Excellent food with very pleasant staff. Prices are reasonable. Book a table though. It's popular. Small niggles- a little chilly each time I have been in. The lighting is dark rather than intimate.

Clean bright premises with ample free parking outside. Usually a steady queue but staff prepare and dispense orders as efficiently as possible. Dine in or takeaway, toilets available for customers only. Food quality may be described as "above average" for this type of eatery. Child friendly and wheelchair accessible.

I’ve eaten here before several times and been assured the items I selected on the menu were gluten free - which I enjoyed. I tried to order the same again, and was told that nothing on the menu is gluten free. Either something drastic has changed with the menu, or the server couldn’t be bothered to check any of the meal allergens and made a blanket statement to make his life easier. I was pretty disappointed.

Nice atmosphere and well-seasoned dishes! The service was friendly but could have been a bit faster. Still, a great place to dine.

Was entertained for brunch by a couple of friends. I ordered the ‘Stack’ - a very poor excuse for a Stack - not even close to my expectations or what I’ve enjoyed at a couple of your close competitors. I don’t think I’ll be back, also the owner/manager could be more appropriately dressed - I still have vivid memories of his builders bum on my first visit Overall much left to be desired
