The best restaurants in Moira Lisburn South Eastern NI

I had the pleasure of dining at Origin 101 for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. The ambience was absolutely charming, the food superb, the waitstaff very professional and Kelsey, the proprietor very welcome and accommodating. If only I lived in Moira, I would return often. As it was, I asked her to consider opening a second location in Connecticut. One can only hope.

Closed without warning. Reserved a table online for father's day and received a confirmation email. Arrive to find the place closed with no sign, no explanation, and no attempt made to contact me. Now having to find a last minute table on a very busy Sunday.

Friendly staff who made you feel welcomed and who went out of their way to accommodate you. Will certainly return. It is nice to be nice and often it doesn't take much.

Excellent homemade Tunisian food with a great decor. It takes me back to Tunisia. BYOD too. I highly recommend this authentic restaurant.

Carthago is a gem. Food is fabulous. Fresh. Different. Beautifully cooked. Thoroughly recommended. Visit, you will not regret it.

This is one of the best chippy's about. The Quality is outstanding and the staff are always so helpful. We got food tonight and they where extremely busy. Normally on weekends the wait time is a bit more obviously because it's flat out, but it's worth the wait. The sf fillet burgers and battered fillets are the best. The staff never stopped tonight. Amazing food no matter how busy they are. Wouldnt eat out of anywhere else in moira. This is our go to for great food. 😊

Dreadful meal. Have been here in the past and enjoyed good food and great service. This is not the same restaurant. We were not informed when making the reservation that there are new owners and no alcohol licence. Drinks offered were water or soft drink. No lassi, no tea, no chai! Tandoori bhuna (tough dried out meat, no seasoning) lamb korma looked and tasted like a jar of yellow korma sauce poured over yesterday's roast lamb. Cam-cam with lamb had dried out roasted meat with mysterious bland sauce. Prices outrageous for sub quality food. Should have taken clues from the fact at 7pm on Sunday there was only one other table occupied. So disappointed, but the one star is for the decor and not the food or poor service. They don't rate stars.

Stale and burnt bagels that needed a steak knife. Disgusting. There are also four paintings on the wall as you walk in on the left. The first being Boris Johnston, the second being Donald Trump, the third, Kim Jong Un and the fourth being Zelensky. Absolute disgrace that Zelensky has been placed on the wall alongside those individuals. Should be ashamed. I absolutely will not be returning.
