The Fine Coffee in Lisburn

Always a spot to visit on our visits home.

I have been disappointed with the scones on my last 2 visits, on both occasions the scones where very flat, and heavy, not at all enjoyable. I will be giving them a miss.

Been a few times an always tried something different it's so nice. Always worth the visit. The only put off now is the dogs sitting around my feet, last time we were in a dog was stinking an smelly, no one wants that in a food place. They have seating area outethw back surly they should make that the animal area. I am an animal lover I've a dog my self but I still don't want that to be in around the food area

I have to say that this location is more than fine! Always busy and always great food. Highly recommend this spot and you won't be disappointed...

We come here all the time but today's service was shocking. There were 5 guys behind the counter all seemingly making coffee and after 20 minutes we had to ask someone to take our order. I asked for sourdough that wasn't a heel (clarified end piece) and was brought half a piece of bread with all crust cut off. I left still hungry, 30 quid lighter and pretty baffled!

Service not good. Even though open to 4.30 at 3 30pm nothing out and staff clearing up around customers. Nor a pleasant experience. Mediocre cafe.

Was here on New Year’s Day and it was one of the few places open. £8.50 for a scone, tea and flat white. The scone was fresh and very nice. The table next to us had finished their drinks but their scones had been forgotten about and they had to ask. They should have been given free drinks or top ups. No toilet roll in the toilet - well, the dispenser was full but you couldn’t get any. Hand dryer wasn’t working either.

Dropped in for a coffee and scone,scone was hard and very poor, couldn't eat,also ordered a friand which never came.When paying no apology nothing, Certainly won't be back

Had a lovely brunch here. Good selection on menu and good quality produce used. The gluten free chocolate brownie was delicious, I shred one with the mother in law who is gluten free

We waited 20 minutes for our order to be took. Tables weren’t clean and cutlery was filthy. Coffees arrived in takeaway cups. We noticed the dirty dishes stacked up whilst paying. The food was very disappointing.

I ordered an extra hot cappuccino. It came to my table Luke warm at best. Food arrived after than with no napkin and cutlery. These had to be requested. I asked for my coffee to be made extra hot and rather than make again or add some hot milk, from my seat, I watched a little hot water be added from a machine. When I’m paying for a cappuccino I expect it to be made with milk and not topped up with hot water to increase the temperature as was done. Quick, easy but not cool to a paying customer!

Terrible service, it took 45 mins to get sausage and mash. Don't bother going here. Food only so so - nothing special.

We visited for lunch as a family of 4 adults and 2 children. A table was found quickly for us and order taken. 3 adult and 1 child meal arrived in good time and we were left waiting for our remaining 2 meals. It's hard to explain to a young child why he doesn't have any food while his brother is tucking in to his! We had to ask twice where our missing meals were and they eventually arrived 20 minutes after the rest of our party had finished - absolutely appalling service. The food was actually quite good but the whole experience was spoilt by the poor service. We would certainly not visit again.

Great place, friendly staff, good food (great cake), dog friendly!! :)) Had to wait a bit for one of our meals but staff apologized and were very friendly. People make mistakes, nobody was rude or unhelpful. I recommend going here.

Fabulous coffee...the best I've tasted this summer (was is Lancashire, Cornwall, Devon & NI). Baked items are amazing and unusual - best of all was new staff member Emma, friendly, helpful, cheerful and efficient. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back"!

I'd give it a 3.8. Coffee was nice, food was a little bit of a let down. Partner ordered the big breakfast (heads up it isnt big) 1 piece of potato bread is 1 normal piece or potato bread cut in half and the soda is a 1/4 of a normal soda. Sausages, bacon and egg were nice. His food was hot. I ordered the french toast, which came personally a little too eggy tasting for my liking i know some may enjoy it. My food was cold. Staff were pleasant.

Very polite staff, nice pastries and clean toilet. The food is average. But place is disorganized, with young staff. We waited on our drinks for a while, and were missing two drinks in the end. It needs a better management and it will be the best caffe in Moira!

Having passed several times in the car we looked forward to visiting "Fine" for a bite of lunch, 10 minutes after sitting down our order was taken, 10 minutes later our coffee arrived and 30 minutes later our order had still not arrived we paid for the coffee and left..Moira has plenty of other establishments. "Fine". you need to get your act together. The cutlery was also not what I would call the cleanest. I see by your reviews I am not the only person who has had an extremely long wait on food.

I haven't been to Fine for a while and this visit has reminded me why. The coffee is pretty decent but the service, sooooo slow. I'm not a super fast busy guy but these guys take the biscuit. By the way, i didn't, it took too long. The barista is super disinterested and i just wanted to bounce in and help out. Looks like the Fat Gherkin is my coffee house of choice.

Called in to Fine on Saturday for a snack with a friend. I have always liked Fine but this time unfortunately it was not a good experience. We ordered a snack and a coffee. After 20 mins coffee had not arrived. We were out the back so I went and reminded the staff. They were not busy so I assumed it was just an error. Another 15 mins passed........no coffee. Went back in and they apologised. We ordered 2 ice creams.........plus the missing coffee. 15 mins later coffee arrived and ice creams were a double order in each bowl......... not what we ordered. Not a great experience. Outside on the street area things were a bit grubby and uninviting generally. Hopefully things will improve as Fine is well supported by locals.

Lovely coffee shop. Some nice food and tray bakes. Staff always friendly. Place is always busy.

Wouldn’t recommend Came in here this afternoon, given a seat fairly quickly. 15 mins later no one had come to take our order, although they had taken orders from people that arrived after us. Poor poor experience today, tried to get staff attention but was just blanked. Not the first time I’ve had this experience here either Won’t be back.

Lovely coffee and traybake. Sat outside in the sun. Great staff

Busy restaurant with options for indoor dining or in a rear outdoor area, weather permitting. Fairly comprehensive health conscious menu. A seemingly eclectic mix of old and young clientele. Portrait paintings on display of world leaders which tastelessly includes North Korean tyrant Kim Jong Un. Efficient staff, prices reasonable.

Fantastic brunch menu, lovely smoothies.

Nice food but can be pricey. Stopped for early brunch 2 adults and 2 kids. 1 small breakfast, I poached eggs 1 toasted ham and cheese and 1 fishfinger sandwich plus 2 teas and 2 squash cost £35+.

Good coffee and great service who could ask for more

i waited 20 minutes for a ham and cheese toastie to take away but when i got it the ham was full of fat and was dry as a bone

We have been to Fine probably 10+ times in the past 3 years and its always been good food. Getting a table is usually possible and the staff can be a bit slow at times, but then again, the place is always busy. We went for lunch today and it was its usual busy and a good "buzz" about the place. Service was not the fastest today, but it was busy as ever and we ended up ordering at the till. The coffee is always good, I like it strong and its got the right edge to it and its always smooth. The staff don't really engage with the customers, but that's ok and they do change regularly. The food is always fresh, my chorizo and potato dish was lovely and spicy and I will order it again. My wife the cream cheese and salmon bagel and she really enjoyed it. The smashed avocado was also great. I'd recommend Fine to anyone and we will be back.

Second trip to Fine as first trip was good but this time very poor. Sent up stairs where nothing as most reserved for a group who eventually arrived. When ordered coffee, croissants and breakfast sandwich the waiter didn't seem to be listening. Not surprised when it then took 2 checks from staff to confirm order. It then took 4 attempts to get us our order, which was when we gave up asking for water. As for croissant it was over cooked. The lonely single sausage tasted a bit weird in the breakfast sandwich and certainly not worth £4.50.

We have visited Fine dozens of times for breakfast, and this is a well overdue review. This is a great cafe with friendly, attentive staff and nice food. No matter how busy it is, the food is usually served quickly. This is a bonus for us as we are usually making a quick stop off on the way to somewhere else. I am gluten intolerant and they always have gluten free bread which helps me out greatly. Fine is a very pet friendly cafe, and while we usually cannot get bringing our own dog, it is still nice to see plenty of dogs enjoying cafe life! A couple of requests I would make would be a vegan butter option (for example flora sachets), and also on those sunny days when its mega busy out the back, have plenty of staff servicing the outside area. Before I wrap up this review I would like to also add a special thanks for the work Fine put in during the pandemic. They were always open when they were allowed to be open and being able to grab a coffee while out for a walk, brought some level of normality back into our lives. Keep up the good work Fine team!

A great place and variety for breakfast. I was on a short visit to UK and found this place useful for a short stopping. Overall experience was nice. Taste was meeting the srandard. I am not a regular visitor of the place. It was like a one morning stop.

We arrived at 4:10pm on a Sunday, 20 mins before close to find all the traybakes/buns had already been cleared away for closing. We were disappointed and expressed as such but got two drinks to go anyway. The drinks took a while to be made but were delicious when we got them. Heard the manager/team leader giving off about us to other staff members because we had made a comment about the traybakes lol. Maybe make sure to wait until we leave before giving out

Went here Saturday lunch time I had the big breakfast (that's a joke)1/4 of potatoe bread 1/4 of soda bread 2 bits of overcooked bacon I burnt sausage 1 large cold mushroom and 1/2 of tomato all for the rip of price £9.95 ,I left over half of it could not complain as my wife finds complaining embarrassing needles to say would not recommend this place at all

Fine has really good coffee. Pastries are delicious, but quite expensive;best to share. Soup is generally delicious. Today's butternut squash was mmmmmm! Generally food is good and staff are open to feedback. A good place to stop.

Food, coffee and staff excellent. Background music far too loud, adds nothing to ambiance and means customers share their conversations with others as they have to raise their voices to be heard by their fellow diners.

We have only every had from the breakfast menu, but always outstanding and great quality.

I arrived at Fine just before 11 o’clock today. I seen it was busy went upstairs found a table, which still had dirty dishes. Customers at the next table came in after me and their table was cleared and they were asked what they would like to drink whilst they were looking at the menu. I felt invisible. A waiter then came to clear my table and said he would be back to take my order. He didn’t and what made it worse the table next to me had their order taken. I gave up and left and went across the road to Fat gherkin in which the service was excellent and food delicious. I would have been to Fine at least once a week. I won’t be back you need to train your staff better.

I was looking forward to visiting Fine after viewing their Instagram account but ended up very disappointed. Ordered the chicken & chorizo melt and it was reheated, pre-sliced chicken, a sliver of chorizo on a terrible piece of cheap ciabatta. It was dry, of a very poor standard and massively overpriced.

Didn't realize that it was a dog cafe. Dog friendly I get, outside covered area in garden. Dogs inside? And on the seating? No thank you. Shame, as the food is wonderful. Will possibly use as a take away only from now on

Just been to Fine for first time , love coffee and scones out in mornings . Lovely place but yesterdays scones - really ? Very disappointed, and the guy didn’t even say sorry about that!

Called in a Saturday with boss and her Mum, certainly a bit overpriced even for the uppity Moy-rah people who have 'gentrified' the village known to locals as Myra!! We were charged for two teas when all we got was one tiny tea pot, a 'little fry' is certainly that, 1 sausage, 1 egg, 2 rashers, quarter of a soda farl, and half a potato farl for the price they charge is outrageous, and the rest not much better, boss said coffee is good, and tea was nice, staff good, but prices OTT, over £30 for wee fry, pancakes, and sourdough toast a but much

Lovely wee cafe restaurant with a good selection of brunch and lunch dishes. Green tea matcha latte is an acquired taste but good to try something different. Ham and poached eggs on sourdough was delightful and the fried egg on chorizo hash with hot chili jam was fantastic. £3.95 for a sausage roll perhaps a step too far but was a good quality sausage roll.

Perfect spot for coffee, snack and chat right on main street in Moira. Good selection of cake, tray bakes and scones with a choice of pavement, indoor and private outdoor area to the rear. Pleasant staff and good service. On street parking as well as public (free) car park nearby.

Excellent food and service! We sat in the outdoor seating with our dog and it was so lovely. Definitely recommend this place after a walk in Moira Demesne.

I went to fine on a Sunday afternoon for a small lunch and a coffee. The food was lovely and coffee great too...but the issue I had was the hygiene. A young girl behind the counter had her nails in her mouth biting away, and then someone handed her plates of food to carry to customers! Then again about 15 minutes later I watched her again chewing away on her nails, and then proceed to tidy away the salads and food that was sitting out on display! Food was grand, but hygiene just wouldn't be up to scratch in my opinion.

Lovely food and very friendly people. Dog friendly too when you are walking the dog.

Best seafood chowder I've had in a long time so packed with fish it could be mistaken for a stew. Good range on the menu and unfortunately they also have a great range of sweet offerings which can be a bit hard to resist. Would definitely recommend

Not great but not awful. I got a Christmas Brioche Bap expecting to get real cooked meat. Instead I got what appeared to be processed slices. Very disappointing tbh since every other cafe seems to give proper meat. Both my wife and I thought the food seemed very salty (she got the breakfast bap). Coffee was fine. Staff fairly friendly and service was quite quick.

Bedlam inside with a long queue for the take out, got told to grab two menus and take a seat. Waited 15 mins and had to grab a passing waitress to take our order. Ordered the Christmas club bap and a chicken sandwich with two...

Met with warm welcome which continued throughout the service. Staff were attentive and efficient. Fellow diner and I both choose the Little Breakfast. Quality of the produce was excellent, beautiful sausage and egg perfectly fried. Best of all was the coffee. I live in the...

Popped in for lunch with a friend and we had a variety of things from brunch & lunch menu. Positive was the eggs benedict & spinach wrap very tasty and the coffees also amazing... however we also ordered the seafood chowder to try between us and it was not so good, very salty but also very cool, nothing worse that a chowder not hot. Service was friendly and prompt.

It was very busy so we had a long wait, but staff informed us and we were happy to sit. It was worth the delay as the food was great

I used to go regularly to Fine and loved it but after a poor experience during Eat Out to Help Out (disgusting toilets first thing on a Monday morning, only one high chair, staff with attitude and small portions) I hadn't gone back, until yesterday... The food tasted good and that's the only positive thing I can say. Lots of staff but completely disorganised, we were first in, order was taken second and we were the last to receive our beverages. I could go on but I feel the staff are just too young and lack a manager.

Went with my family to finish off a lovely day out were rudely told to take a seat and then ignored for 20 mins. We ended up just leaving, very disappointing.

Lovely spot, the yard at the back is relaxing and family orientated so a nice setting. The trouble is food and service. This is a few times we've been here, not regularly. Service os so slow, 20mins for a coffee and folk arriving after us...

After a 45 minute wait I received a cold fry that was missing the sausage and beans. Over priced, average food with a fancy menu. £7.95 for a single small slice of toast with avocado and eggs. Will not be back.

Amazing food. Brunch and Lunch menus with lots of choice. I had Croque Champignon and my wife had the Brioche breakfast bap. Delicious!

We arrived on a Thursday to find it closed. No obvious notices were posted as explanations.

Food was okay, but service extremely slow and we had to ask for ordered items that was missing three times. Main issue in the rear yard area for ours plus multiple other tables was the swarm of wasps, making it impossible to sit and enjoy the food. When spoke to staff about this they was aware and just blasé about the distribution this caused to our meal. Would not rush back!
