We were served by Lilly and Sean, and both were excellent. Great food, great setting. Well worth a visit. I will be back. I highly recommend the pork cheeks.

I’ve had to change my review- gave an awful 1 star about a year ago. Have slowly spent more time here (mainly for garden/courtyard and to watch sport). Came for dinner here on Sunday and it was class. Service great and food excellent. Much improved!

Was here on Wednesday past for a business / meal. Food was nice, warm and delicious.

A great local bar and restaurant with very good food and service. Been for meals with friends & family and food is great (particularly rate the Jacobs ladder - fine dining at pub grub prices). However I feel it’s caught between being a restaurant and sports bar.. I think would be far better if kept the main restaurant for diners and then have the barn open all weekend as a sports bar. An example, last weekend the Barn was open for the rugby and football with a large screen and great atmosphere for those wanting sports.. this weekend it was closed and just a few tv’s with no commentary in the main restaurant/bar.. therefore we went elsewhere. Overall really recommend for a nice meal, but until it’s clear when the barn is open I would suggest elsewhere for sports fans.

Had lunch on Saturday 24th with 2 friends visiting from Scotland, we had a good meal and some alcoholic drinks, we were asked to leave the table in around an hour or so we moved to another and had another drink, we were then asked to move again in around 30 minutes, we did look at each other uncomfortably, but that wasn't the end of it , at our third seat which was a small round table we were once again asked to move, I couldn't help make comment to the waitress, as there was nowhere for 3 people to sit and have a drink all the tables were reserved for food, so we stood in the way along a thin ledge feeling very awkward, no thought for the customers who was having a drink, my friend did say we were like second class, I did say it's normally like this they need to decide what they are as at the moment its not somewhere you would recommend for a drink

It loses a star because we came for food and lots of drinks but we kept getting moved from table to table. Priority was given to diners. We spent a significant amount of money but felt like second class as we couldn't stay sitting down. Eventually forced to the closest local pub where we sat for the rest of our evening

It was our sons 30th Birthday celebrations there were 35+ attending.The venue itself was lovely the problem was the food. It was finger foods at £15 per head the sausages were tough and dried out garlic bread was like a brick couldn't eat it.Chicken drummers were also tough and over cooked the chips were small and greasy. I had to ask the female bar tender for more chips as not everyone had some she rolled her eyes said she would ask the kitchen. Had to ask for some sauces there was nothing that didn't go down great either though she did go and get some. I just feel for £15 ahead it was a pretty miserable effort from the Still House and I have to say one of the worst food I have ever tasted in any venue. The full cost was £525 for the room so very annoyed

Got med rare steak perfect . All my tatsebud scored it 10/10. Staff were attentive,courteous and accommodating. An experience I wish to have more off

Called on way down motorway on way home no problem booking when arrived table wasn’t much room around it no bother changing to another table lovely menu and the meal was absolutely top class and very reasonable although I would say the wine was overpriced Staff great attentive and knowledgeable and pleasant one point I would make is when I went to pay the bill I was asked would I like to put a tip on my card payment to which I refused because if I want to leave a tip I’ll do it without having to be asked and as I didn’t know if staff would receive it if it was paid on my card had there had been a facility to leave cash in a bottle etc then I would have

This was probably the worst dining experience I have ever had. I was there on Friday 26th Jan 2024, with my daughter, sister and cousin. My sister and I asked what soup was on the menu, we were told vegetable! What we got was a dark thick murky looking onion soup, which technically is a vegetable, but the staff apologised, that they had given us the wrong information. My sister suffered through it, but after taking 2 small spoonfuls, I sent mine back. So much pepper, it was burning my throat. For mains, my sister and I ordered the Jacob's Ladder ribs, no explanation on the menu what that was, so we assumed pork ribs, but it was beef, and it was disgusting. All I ate from that plate, was a scoop of (cold) mash. My daughter and cousin, both had the venison, which they said at the time was delicious while they were eating it, but both had dodgy stomachs after. All 4 meals came out cold. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Solo visit at end January. Warm welcome and great food. Substantial portions and superb flavours - for starter I had the Pork and hegarty en croute with a lovely buttery side order of garlic bread. Then for main had the Slow cooked Jacobs ladder (beef short rib) the flavours of which would genuinely give the neighbouring Michelin recommended restaurant a real run for their money - super value and worth a detour into Moira!

Not good tonight ! Very poor service from “ head waiter “ . Refused us a table as we hadn’t booked ! We have finished our mediocre meal and there’s still lots of free tables ? Fish n chips very small pieces of fish ! Had to ask for more peas ! We will NOT be back .

I have to tell you and I'm not complaining about the overall experience we had but the steak I ordered was cold and not cook to my asking, also the pepper sauce was cold, the chips were cook in dirty oil and they were rotten. The pasta we ordered for the we ones were cold but we wert fuss on this as it was cool enough for them. I did let the staff know that we wernt happy with some of the food, he did apologise but he could had taken the steak off the bill for all the haslte but no. So after a plan day we were disappointed with the service and food at this time and we hope that the chef/staff can take something out of this going forward, and I will be back but will not rush.

This spot in Moira has consistently been my favorite, whether I'm by myself or with friends. Weekends here are enjoyable, and the drink prices are reasonable. Its expansive beer garden is perfect for summertime gatherings. The only drawback is the lack of mobile network connectivity; even on WiFi, calls and regular messaging are impossible. Despite that, it remains an exceptional place to visit.

The food is descend but then the service is on holiday, on Monday not being busy you really have to put an effort to attract the attention of the service

Reasonable food , bad service. Had a stirlon which was reasonable although not great. Ordered medium rare was actually medium. Service was bad. Were more busy with themselves behind the bar, customers were not seen.

Had a bit of a delay between the starter and main but the staff went above and beyond to rectify it, great spot and great staff!!

We asked twice for a change of table away from the loud music but no chance," it would affect our booking timings later", we were told, though there were available tables unoccupied. This is a pub for goodness sake, not a fine dining restaurant. The Christmas menu we wanted on their website wasn't offered, instead a more expensive one only. Three of the four mains, hake at £24, were awful and mostly inedible with large bones and stale uncooked potatoes served in a greasy soup. We wouldn't risk the desserts. Then we were reminded about the Gratuity space on the bill by the man who refused to change our table. Tips are for good service and showing customer care. Never again.

My family and I had dinner in this establishment on Boxing Day as we did the previous year. Despite having good meals previously my partner's meal on this particular occasion did not meet her expectations as the meat was fatty and inedible. The staff were informed of the problem and showed very little interest. After a few complaints we received a meagre discount of a couple of pounds on our final bill, this was unsatisfactory to say the least and we will be having a rethink about attending here in the future.

Can't comment on the food as I didn't have any. Staff were friendly. Reasonably priced. Doormen were helpful and friendly and able to control the crowds as it was busy over the Christmas period.

Staff in here were excellent. Had delicious food and the venue itself is lovely.

Decent wings However I have never experienced worse bar service in my life. Understaffed doesn’t even cover it. A complete hot mess. 45 minutes+ wait Waiting staff were decent though

Had my first Xmas turkey dinner and it was delicious. Lovely staff and cosy library area.

Great, cozy pub with a good menu served up by friendly and helpful staff. Beers, cocktails, full range of drinks available plus 0% drinks for those who need it. Was a last minute decision to go out for dinner and rang ahead to book a table as we know they can get busy (rang about 7pm on a Friday night). Taken to a small table near the fire. Service was well timed and all questions answered politely and lovely to see obviously happy staff, no doubt at the start of a busy shift. Starter very tasty (ham hock) and mains of generally good portions. Trout and pork schnitzel ordered. Only dessert ordered was a apple crumble which came in a light pastry case with yummy custard. Would recommend a visit

Good food and attentive staff but a bit noisy.

Staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate when we didn’t have a booking. The food was very tasty the environment relaxing and enjoyable. Will defiantly be back.

We went here for our anniversary last night and had a fantastic time. I can't recommend it enough. the staff were really friendly and attentive (and also funny) and the food was amazing. the starters and mains were cooked to perfection, that was the best duck I've had in a very long time. drinks were great and cocktails spot on. The music was brilliant and the atmosphere very chill and laid back. we will defo be back soon. Thank you.

Had the duck, steak sandwich and hake. Every meal was very very good. Extremely tasty and great portions. Prices are great also!

We both chose catch of the day. The fish portion was tiny. It looked like they had cut it in half for us. It was tasty by very expensive at £17.95. We complained to a male who we assumed was the manager. He initially laughed and then said he “would let the chef know”. He never came back to us. Our waitress was very nice and the service was good. When we paid the bill the manager was not around and we mentioned again to our waitress what had happened and ask what was the chef’s comment. She said she was aware and just apologised. Our lunch (for two) including desert and coffee came to just over £60. Definitely not value for money. A manager with no knowledge of customer care is not good for any establishment.

Have always loved The Stillhouse and make a point of stopping for lunch and a pint of Guinness or A gin every time I pass through Moira …… after today I won’t be stopping again. My first choice for lunch wasn’t available so I opted for the standard cod and chips …….. woeful …… a side dish of mushy peas with a crust on them that suggested they’d been sitting on top of a stove for a week and a piece of fish that was wringing wet - I left two thirds of the meal sitting and when the young girl serving me mentioned to the chef she apologised and said it was a new young chef and offered me 20% off a meal that I didn’t find good enough to eat. That’ll be my last visit here as while young chefs have to learn, someone should care enough about what they’re serving before presenting it to a customer. I note they list their suppliers on the menu - can’t recollect who their seafood supplier is, but a pice of frozen fish out of Iceland would have been better

Best service I’ve had while in town! The salad and onion rings were both great, as was the sticky pudding. Highly recommend!

Burger was okay, too much salty on my opinion. My friend like Their dishes! So I gave 4 stars to their food. Very noisy indeed.

Lovely beer garden however terrible food combined with poor service- Would not recommend.

Went here last night 8.9.23 to have a couple of drinks and sit in the sun with our puppy. Beer garden is lovely drinks were great atmosphere lovely as well. Although the guy with the dark curlyish hair and the striped story collecting glasses needs an attitude check!

Nice Pub with excellent food (especially the steaks and also fish and chips). The staff is very friendly. We've been there on a Friday night (reservation ist recommended) so we've good live music.

Pleasant maze like bar would be nice on a sunny day

This has everything, quiet dining, friendly staff, a beer garden with live music. You could spend all weekend there and have a fantastic time. We just dropped in and they couldn't have been more helpful. Great service. The Guinness was mighty! Loved it!

A group of 5 friends eating out in the evening. This was chosen as it was a convenient half way meeting spot. I found the menu uninspiring. I had difficulty choosing as there was nothing I really wanted. In the end I went for the scampi starter and the Burger main. The scampi was good, the burger was average. The service was fine. Reasonably prompt and our waiter was pleasant enough. There was nothing overly wrong with our meal, there just wasn't anything memorable enough to return for.

If i could possibly give this place 1 star i would good was diabolical. No manager to sort out the terrible food served an absolute disgrace. sadly it’s went way downhill as we used to visit this place regularly a few years back AVOID

After waiting for over 45 minutes on food that didn't arrive in a cafe across the road we decided to give The Stillhouse a visit. We were greeted by smiling and welcoming staff given a choice of seats and had a super snack at lunchtime very reasonably priced with great flavour good portion and excellent range of drinks. When in Moira this will be our go to in future.

Family pub, with a good menu. Good customer service. I would also recommend their gin making classes..

The gluten free menu was terrific, had a beautiful steak sandwich and skinny fries which was delicious.

Had a great lunch of the fish and chips, mushy peas and tartar side. Partner had the ribs and skinny fries, coleslaw and BBQ sauce.

Wonderful experience at The Still House Moira following my daughter’s Christening in June. We had a large party with a number of children, so had our meal in the beautiful ‘Loft’ - a gorgeous rustic setting and plenty of space for our party and kids. The service was amazing - the ladies went over and above and food was outstanding. We would definitely recommend. Thank you Still House.

Decent spot in Moira. Good parking around it. Staff very friendly and patient. Food was good value for money. Portion sizes decent. We went quite early in the evening and still a nice friendly atmosphere.

Great staff made our evening enjoyable We were staying at Ralph's next door and were very tired, having arrived in Belfast at 06:30 on the ferry from Liverpool. My husband had soup and I chose scampi a little stodgy far too much batter but a generous portion. Moved onto mains my husband went for a burger and I chose lamb again ample finished off with sticky toffee pudding. Loved the alcohol free options the Vramble cocktail was pretty to look at and tasty. Loved the decor would visit again.

Service was good but food choice uninspiring. I picked the burger which was well cooked but very salty. Chips were mediocre and the garnish unappetising. Most of all the food was overpriced and I would not go back. This probably explains why the place was nearly empty. \my friend was happy enough with the ham shank but looking at it it would not have appealed to me and there was little on the plate.

Really happy with our meal but surroundings felt a little dated. Will be back soon as staff and food were great.

Just had lunch in here, firstly it's a lovely beer garden for a pint and the staff are friendly and helpful but the food was a huge disappointment. Kids portions were tiny, genuinely about 8 or 9 fries on their plates. The veggie burger was a frozen one with pretty much no effort put into it. The plating up didn't even seem to have any effort put into it. Good for a drink but eat somewhere else

Menu is so limited and the food was awful. Nor Myself or my partner enjoyed our meal and both agreed we would not be back. When we phoned to book they made it out they were squeezing us in, but when we arrived there was a lot of empty tables and The atmosphere was terrible. Would not recommend!

Awful, my son took me for mother's day, beef daube risotto so rich couldn't eat it, whatever the bread was, that accompanied it was rock hard. My son's Butter chicken was undercooked so we sent it back. Came back smaller and overcooked. Though was given a pint of Harp to compensate. We were told to vacate table after 1.30 hours but only 5 tables occupied. It was made clear we had to leave, when they arrived with the card machine. Sadly won't be back. The girls who took our order were really nice. Food not so. Sorry Stillhouse. Have you a new Chef?

What a wonderful evening we had on Friday night in the private dining area of the Stilhouse. 24 lawyers on a night out is a terrifying prospect for any restaurateur but Stilhouse staff were first class. No request was too trivial and all queries were fully answered and dealt with beforehand. We all had a wonderful night thanks to Jon, Michelle, Sean and all the team.

Had a late lunch here recently. Place was empty. Two staff working. Was brought a high chair which was dirty and had to ask for it to be cleaned. Cloth was wiped over it but still had brown stains (gravy?) round the tray. Has to clean it myself. Had two mains which cost almost £40. Steep for lunch and not great either. Won’t be hurrying back.

Was at a birthday party on Saturday night , the venue was great . Busy night but want to say the bar staff Shane and Sean gave exceptional customer service. First time here and will definitely be back.

Pub decor was attractive, but on a January lunchtime not much atmosphere as only one other couple there. Staff were friendly and helpful. The four of us enjoyed our main course, but we all felt the chips were too salty.

I ordered the duck arancini and slow roasted beef and it was delicious. The jus that comes with the slow roasted beef is exceptional and their mash is so buttery and yummy. If a review needs a nitpicked critique I think the arancini starter came with too small a salad and too much mayonnaise and both plates were warm but not very hot which would have preferred … but two empty plates are a contrary to my critique! Have lived locally for four years and won’t be waiting as long next time for more delicious pub grub.

40 minutes from ordering Food until it arrived...food just ok. Staff very unfriendly. I did say Food took too long...Waitress looked at me as if I had spoken in Japanese...did the same when paying...

Great experience at the still house went last minute even though they were bust they found a table for us. Food was very good staff amazing and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Definitely recommended

Good food, bad service. Food when it eventually came was good. Either they need more waiting staff or to train the existing staff, had to go and stand at the bar to get any attention from staff as waiting staff never seemed to be there.

Called in for a spot of lunch, extremely friendly staff and a very homely atmosphere together with a really beautiful turkey dinner made this a wonderful pre Xmas experience Simply brilliant

Went for works Christmas do and everything spot on. Had meal in own area upstairs in adjoining building, good food, stayed their all evening as had music playing in downstairs of adjoining building and then live music late on in the main area. Busy, but we’ll staffed and we’re all very friendly.

Absolutely terrible service today for Sunday lunch. Young, clearly inexperienced staff who smirked when we raised complaints about our food. Food was really poor, it’s been a while from we have eaten here but I can safely say it will be the last.

Such a disappointing meal this evening in what was a regular favourite for us. After waiting an hour for our meal “due to an error” our food arrived, my meal was dry, cold and congealed, my friends meal was bland and below average. The manager offered no apology for the delay when he came to our table, instead just sprinkled pepper everywhere, including in our wine. To add insult to it all, our bill included additional wine we didn’t have, and the cost of half of my meal “because of the amount of it I had eaten”, even though we had been told my meal had been discounted from the bill. Not the waiting staffs problem at all, complete lack of customer care from the management. All four of us won’t be back, short sighted approach. I never normally complain, it’s tough for restaurants in this climate. But a bill of £120 and no customer care is not ok.

We had a super lunch in the Still house. Fish and chips 🙂, The fish was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and not over cooked on the inside . Chips very well done triple cooked , Sunday roast Chicken , mash veg ....

We celebrated a family birthday here recently and booked the private room upstairs as there were 15 of us including children. We had such a great evening with good food and very friendly helpful staff. There was one waitress in particular who went out of her way to make our evening so successful. Thanks StillHouse!

Went for dinner on a Saturday. Had dinner with a few drinks. We had burgers all round chicken and beef and could not fault anything with the meals. One of the best chicken burgers I’ve had yet and the chips and peppercorn sauce was also amazing. Would definitely recommend this pub for dinner and drinks.

I have been using this establishment for 10 years now since it was the 4 Trees. Sadly it was underused the day we chose to eat there and only 2 tables being served. The venue is superb and the young lady that served us was perfect. During the summer the beer garden is open and allows pets. Inside the premises it is very comfortable and i have always admired the decor. My fish and chips were excellent and well served by a beautiful young lady, who was very attentive. We love the surroundings and were happy to pay the increased rates. Parking not easy Moira and we left the car at the library car park. Unlike the Corner House and Clenaghans, they were open. Good experience
